I've just installed a fresh new copy of RC2 with all the wipes.
1. When running AdFree i get the "Update Found" message.
2. when trying to "Download & Install Hosts" i get the the error:
"Error: Failed to replace your hosts file. Error message:"
3. When trying to "Revert" first i get "Failed to revert your hosts file, the 'echo' command seems to be missing"
Any ideas?
Thanks,
G
I had the same issue running CM. S-OFF seemed to resolve it, just flashed and tested it now.

I am getting a really long error trying to apply the OTA 2.2. I have not seen this anywhere on here and google is taking me to many different phones and not quite the same errors.
Code:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/bin/reboot", "723277108cbd2d5E:unknown command[c41a12e055052004932e70fac",]
E:Error in /cache/ota_supersonic_3.26.651.6-1.47.651.1_releasexjg0a0vqdw5cor7z.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I am running 2.1 updated on a rooted phone. (Rooted version of same.) I just updated my radio and PRI so that I have current radio .9 (or something) and PRI 1.77.
The download of the update seems to have gone fine and then I clicked the install and it is not working.
If I use Astro I can get to the reboot file but I have no idea how to open it. (ADB won't let me see anything in the system folder which is aggravating.)
If I use Astro I can get to the cache folder but it shows it empty. If I use ADB then I can see the OTA in there. (WTF?)
HELP....
What else? Let me know if I need to provide more info, I'll find it on the phone.
No one got a thought on this one? If search is up this morning I'll try that in a bit.
I am trying to install an app I found on the web, but I am getting a Parse Error saying, "There is a problem parsing the package," each time I try to install it.
I've tried installing it first through email, and clicking install on the attachment. I then tried by putting it on my SD card and accessing it through a file manager to install it. Both gave me the same errors, so then I thought why not use ADB. Even when I try to install through ADB, it gives me this:
Code:
EOCD not found, not ZIP.
Any ideas? Maybe its just a problem with the app? Though I've seen it work on other phone before...
Maybe it's a corrupted file?
Not sure what is going on I was cooking a rom and I kept getting this error
E: Can't symlink/system/xbin/su
E: Failure at line 29:symlink/system/xbin/su SYSTEM:xbin/su

I thought maybe I forgot the su file. I made sure both were there but I still get the errors when trying to install. I am able to Nandroid and install roms by other people but for some reason I get this error with the rom i've cooked what is the problem?
Have you updated your kitchen lately? I thought that problem was fixed.
And did you run the script checker? Option 10 (maybe) I in the main menu of the kitchen?
Hi,
I'm having problems to install cm7 port. First of all, i would like to thanks Alquez by the great job he's done in this port.
And now, my problem. When i try to install cm7 from recovery, and after wipe data, cache and all, i select install from zip, and when start the proces i obtain this error message:
I've checked the zip md5sum, and i don't obtain the same result indicated by Alquez. I tried downloading the file several times, even downloading it from the different available servers, and I always get the same md5, being different to that indicated by Alquez.
I don't know what to do. Can anyone, that have the correct file, upload it to another server?. Or i'm doing anything wrong?
Thank you very much.
the error message
Sorry,
The error message is:

What version of CWM do you use? Make sure you are using the version that alquez posted on development section

I'm using CWM version 3.2.0.1_xda.cn.
I'll try to install ClockworkMod Recovery v.5.0.2.6 and i'll try to flash CM7 port again.
Thanks for replies. I'll post the results of this try.

Sorry if my english is not very good.
I am running lineageos-nightly-20170706 on my OnePlus 3 - I've tried to update it using both lineageos-nightly-20170803 and lineageos-nightly-20170810 - both give the same error when TWRP tries to install the file:
assert failed: op3.verify_modem('2017-06-27 21:43:31== "1"
updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/data/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates/lineage-14.1-20170810-nightly-oneplus3-signed.zip'
I did a full wipe and flash installing this, but I don't want to lose all the config work I've done if I don't have to - so I wanted to try updating this time. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? I download it, then choose Install - it reboots the pphone to TWRP (3.0.4-1), I click Install, then Up a Level so I can find the file in /data/data/org.lineagos.updater/app_updates, select the zip file, and swipe to install it.
Thanks,
Brian

Well, your firmware is outdated, you need to update it.
This should help you out:
