[Q] LG G3 D855 32GB Bricked - Help - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
So I have this LG G3, that for some reason, couldn't connect to gmail. After reading some threads online, I decided to restore the original ROM (which for some reason was not the one installed). For that, I followed the tot tutorial in this website: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
However, I cannot pass the 6%, and I keep getting the following error message:
## [ERROR] : Partition Change factory Partition (Phone!=tot)
[ 1:57:51] Port Close
[ 1:57:52] RefurbishProcess() Error.
[ 1:57:52] ¡Ú¡Ú ERROR REASON : Unknown Error
[ 1:57:52] CBasicComControl::IsConnected, the port(COM41) connection is not detected
[ 1:57:52] RunProcess() is fail.
[ 1:57:52] CBasicComControl::IsConnected, the port(COM41) connection is not detected
[ 1:57:52] [ 1:57:51] ## [ERROR] : Partition Change factory Partition (Phone!=tot)
I am using the original cable, and I tried in several computers, different ports, so it is not a USB 3 port problem. I am pretty sure that I am using the right software (D855 V10e EUR), as described in all tutorials online. I have also followed the instructions carefully, and I have displayed in my phone : Firmware Update.
I am using the following versions:
DLL: LGD855_20140526_LGFLASHv160.dll
Software: LG Flashtoll 1.8.6.527
TOT: LGD855AT-00-V10e-EUR-XX-JUL-08-2014-32G+0.tot
Actually, now my LG G3 gets "stuck" on the firmware upgrade, until the battery drains out. Even if I remove the battery, when I power it on, it gets back to that menu again.
So what am I doing wrong and how can I fix this problem??
Christ stop using the TOT method
Use the KDZ method in accordance with LG Flashtool 2014 and it should work

Agreed. I have just used that and the same firmware to downgrade from V20H and it worked like a charm.

Different version after upgrade
Hi,
After using the KDZ method, my LG version has changed from D855 to D855V. As a result, It is very strange indeed, and as a consequence I cannot connect to the network. I get the "service disabled", "no Service" and sometimes it connects to the operator for some seconds. It is important to say that before the flash, the phone was working fine, and connected normally to the network.
Troubleshoot already done:
1 - Firstly, I flashed using the D85520B_00.Kdz file.
2 - When I realized that the error, I thought this might be a version problem, so I downloaded D85510e_00.kdz version and re-flashed downgrading to 4.4.2. However problem remained.
What should I do? I am running out of ideas.
Thanks in advance

Did you find any solution cause im facing that problem
the only solution for this problem is flashing firmware to model 850 ATT, BIN_LGD850AT-01-V10d-310-410-JUN-19-2014-0 because this phone model is D850 not D855, sorry my english is not good, use model hack dll mod.dll to change D855 at D850 stock firm with LG flash tool
can you upload here dll that you used to flash d855 with d850 firmware

[Q] Hardbricked LG G3
I tried to flash a D850 with lg flashtool and it gave me a " partition change error ", so i've put the dll that doesnt verifie the version , the device start flashing but then it turned off and became a hardbrick. So, i tried to unbrick it with BoardDiag and got the error "No response from the device. Check PMIC first and if still boot problem, replace AP" when i repeat i get "device was not found in dload trying flash programmer" i get it that the BoardDiag doesnt do the AP msm8975ac , so if you could help it would be great P.S. when i use androidbrick_G3_fix.exe , and choose D850 i get Hello requst error , but when i choose D851 i passes and no error found but cant repair because device log out and in after scan is over , so does that mean i have a D851 ??? coz it is written D850 in the back of the phone i really need ur help
[HELP] D855 Doesn't show download mode & Doesn't flash
Greetings So now I have completed two months of trials trying to fix this thing. I figured it's time to post something. I have an LG G3 D855 32GB GCC (As it says on the box). The device was not booting so I tried removing the battery for a couple of minutes and putting it back. It worked for a while but now it's dead. I changed the battery and it's still the same thing. I searched around and found people suggesting flashing the TOT file. So I went to download mode (it used to go there ) tried flashing and I got an error. I don't recall the error to be honest. Now the device won't boot and won't show the download mode screen. However, it gets recognized as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port". I tried the KDZ method and it doesn't work. The TOT method gives me the errors below: When I use LGUP8974.dll PID: NULL IMEI: NULL [ 9: 2:27] CrossDL [] to [D855]. SWersion[] 000000064 Error: [ 9: 2:27] CrossDL [] to [D855]. SWersion When I use LGD855_20140526_LGFLASHv160.dll PID: NULL IMEI: NULL Model : DLL : D855 SWV : SWOV : Model Information Check FAIL ! I'm not sure how bad the situation is or what exactly I'm doing wrong. I tried searching and trying everything and none is working. Notes: I'm not sure if I'm using a proper TOT the one I'm using says (LGD855AT-00-V10e-EUR-XX-JUL-08-2014-32G+0.tot) Searching using my IMEI in a website resulted with the SW (D85530D_00)
have u resolved the issue ?

Solve it FIX good after I found the problem LGUP roms apparently change the model of the device as it changes cm11 to build Cyanogenmod 11 xx AOSP - to AOSP rom 2 etc. the solution would be to install a stock rom clean no matter if v10 v30 etc. The important thing is not having changed the model number and manufacturer. I hope I have helped and sorry
that includes cloudy fa's roms

LGUP "UNKNOWN" and FlashTool failure with LG G3 (and possibly others) When I downloaded and installed LGUP with the DLL installer stated to be for the LG G3, the program did not recognise the phone, reporting it as "UNKNOWN". The LG FlashTool also failed, reporting the IMEI and PID as NULL. After spending a lot of time on this, I twigged that the DLL file in the LGUP model directory was for the 8994 processor; but the G3 has an 8974, quite different and incompatible. I located the DLL installer MSI file for 9874 devices, uninstalled LGUP and the DLLs from Windows add/remove programs, ran the 9874 DLL installer and reinstalled the LGUP program, and everything worked. The file is, amongst other places, on https://uptoandroid.com/download-lg-up-tool-for-lg-smartphone-latest/. Do not download DLL files for LG G4, LG V10, LG G3, LG Stylo, filename LGUP_Common_DLL_Ver_1_0_28_5 .msi, but instead For LG phones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 SoC, filename LGUP_8974_DLL_Ver_0_5.msi:. HTH 23 Aug 19: I find that I've rediscovered the wheel. Exactly what I said was posted in 2016 - if I'd found it, it would have saved me a lot of time!
Can not flash LG G3 D855
Hello friends. I got the LG G3 D855 and it was dead. When flashing with LG Flash Tool, the same is 4% and gives connection error and asks me to remove the battery. Or else it reaches 15% and it's the same, I've tried everything. The S / W version is D85521A, Spain. Any solution?
hi, I have it working but not sure what made it work. - get LG flash tool 2014 - flash file I used for Android Marshmellow D85530C_00_0211.kdz (more here http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda%2FLG+G3%2FStock%2FD855%2F - when you have connected your phone change the com port in device manager to 41 (I had done that yesterday) - install the LG USB driver well I had really troubles getting it work but somehow today it did it oh one more thing, leave internet on as you need to select country and language in flashtool, ones a new windows opens, let the first step finish, then pull your lan cable off or disable wifi whatever.. ps: bmatney posted 3 posts down this link, may help too https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
