[Q] Bricked HTC One X - Fastboot - Relocked - No revovery - HTC One X

Hi folks,
I've really got myself into a horrid, horrid mess.
I rooted the phone last night, managed to (or so I thought) install a custom ROM.
In the end, I panicced and tried to load an RUU back onto the handset.
Long and short of it is, that I now have a handset connected via USB, relocked, stuck on fastboot, and trickle charging by rebooting the loader on a constant loop.
Should I be putting this on ebay for spares and repairs? Or is there a way to salvage the kit?
Feel free to flame me for my obvious lack of knowledge here, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

because the right command is fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin nd you must to have Unlock_code.bin in your fastboot folder.

The only thing I cannot seem to get working now is adb so I can add the gapps to my shiny new cyanogen 11 install
Windows 8.1 is refusing to accept the drivers. Guess I'll need to go for a Win XP Machine

Downloaded the GApps to the root of the SD from dropbox, booted to recovery, applied zip file. Rebooted. Simples!

[Q] When ROM Updates Go Bad!

Upgrading to ARHD 6.1.0, it didn't like it, stuck on splash screen (waited 30 mins twice)
Tried to get ARHD 6.0.0 back onto my SD Card, wasn't recognised in windows from recovery.
Tried a few clockworkmod recoveries, modaco and finally out of sheer desperation I tried HTC Stock recovery. That was a mistake.
Now SD card says (No Files Found) when trying to access it and I can't get a recovery to mount it right for windows.
What are my options, can I use adb push to get a ROM onto my phone?
Bootloader is fine, recovery is fine except mounting the SD card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok best option is to download the RUU for your device, boot into Fastboot-USB and run the RUU.
Go back to stock and then start from scratch. If your device hangs at the boot screen again after flashing ARHD then run fastboot erase cache.
If you can get into fastboot just reflash the latest CWM and then use that to add the ROM file back to your phone
Or, relock the bootloader and flash the RUU you downloaded as a backup before flashing a custom ROM
SD card wiped and not being recognised by windows.
How do I get the RUU onto the sd card?
Or can I push it onto the device in fastboot?

As Eddy said...just go to the CWM Thread and download the lastest CWM recovery.
Since a few days its possible to mount the sd card in recovery, which wasnt before.
flash it then go to recovery->mounts and storage: mount usb mass storage
and windows should recognize your phone sd card.
No need to flash a RUU.
When you flash a rom, ensure that you always flash the provided boot.img and fastboot erase cache.

CWM auto updated for me when it came out and I've done it in fastboot as well.
It's a real bugger this one, I'm trying new USB drivers.
Didn't realise HTC Stock recovery would wipe my SD card
It doesn't, you've done that yourself (or if you relocked and unlocked the bootloader it'll wipe it)

No I didn't relock the bootloader.
I don't remember formatting the SD card in CWM.
I thought I was being fairly careful.
I've just installed new USB drivers, I'll wait for the RUU to finish downloading before I reboot and try to mount one last time.
Thx for your help mate.
The RUU is the easiest way to reload everything, so long as you've got the right RUU

Installed new drivers, rebooted, didn't help.
Still can't mount the SD card, this is a real nasty one.
Going down the RUU path.
Just waiting for battery to get to 30%, a bit worried the screen wont go off lol, charging may be slow.

Left Charger plugged in while Updating! HELP!

Hi,
okay so I am new to this forum and need some help. I left the charger in while updating and now the phone is stuck on HTC white boot screen. I am an idiot I know not following instructions but didn't think this would happen.
If anyone can help or give me any advice I would be so grateful!

Are you using stock rom?
Or you have an unlocked bootloader with a custom recovery and rom?

I very much doubt leaving the charger in will do any sort of damage...and if it did, well shoot me down and call me a noob because I wouldn't think twice about leaving the charger in.
Sounds like the very common boot loop problem.
If you're on a custom rom find the rom.zip extract it and copy and paste the boot.img into your fastboot folder, flash it via cmd commands.
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache.

[Q] Stuck at boot screen

Whenever I turn on my Htc one vx it goes to the htc boot logo and under it it has the words in red letterss. "This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission. Failure to comply May lead to legal Action." I tried to root it but had some trouble and when i get into boot loader it says at the top tampered and unlocked. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the late response. I don't remember too well. I watch a guide with the normal commands to root it but was stuck where it was rooted but i could not load super user. ok well if you are still unlocked fastboot flash a recovery then flash a stock rooted rom i would try ICS frist because if you have not flashed a JB RUU or the JB firmware you should still be on ICS 4.0 firmware unless you know you where on JB 4.1.2 if so install the JB stock rooted rom. to do that after you fastboot flash the recovery and have DL the rom just put the rom on a ext. SD card via PC sd card reader. also extract the boot.img from the rom and put it in the same dir. that you have adb and fastboot files. boot into recovery.Do a factory reset wipe from the recovery then install the rom for SD card. After it installs reboot to bootloader fastboot then fastboot flash the boot.img . Hint wherever you have adb fastboot files just open that dir and hold shift and right click and that will give you the option to open cmd propt in that dir. then do your fastboot flash cmd. that should do it and get you up and running again. hope it helps

[Q] Please Help, very big error on my part

Hey guys, I'm new to the HTC one, and I made a mistake. I accidentally formatted my device, the sdcard, firmware, and data, and I'm unable to mount the sdcard and data. I have clockworkmod recovery installed, and the bootloader unlocked, but I'm unable to do much else. When I attempt to flash a rom using sideloader, the screen will just reboot several times. I tried two different roms, CyanogenMod and Stock Rom, by either installing through sideloader or adb, but again, I can't see my SD card. I need help.
How can I fix my phone at this point? I'd be okay with either Stock Rom or CyanogenMod, I just need my phone working.
Please give a newbie a hand guys.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know, but maybe try loading this by following the directions. Maybe you formatted the actual OS completely? This will get you to CM and then from there hopefully flash again
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_m7vzw
Also, try rebooting JUST the recovery, because then your SD shows up again.

Also, you should reflash the recovery so that you're 100% positive it is for the VZW One.

Sure, I boot into recovery and use the command adb sideload "zip file here" and get the loading progess percentage and then it loads on my phone, yet it doesn't work right. Also, for some reason, my phone's bootloader has "relocked" when I know for a fact I avoided that command for fear of ruining my chances to fix the phone, now if I attempt to flash recovery to double check, I'm told its not allowed and it fails.

Important: the flash process halts at around 75% to 90% on phone screen! This is normal and a safety precaution!
The last few percent is the reboot, which is NOT happening automatically, so you get a chance to check the console output before reboot to make sure it is safe to reboot

You don't need to flash the stock recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475216
The RUU flashes stock recovery. You can skip the first portion (ADB shell) and the last (write secure flag) in the instructions above.
Basically, just start at
fastboot oem rebootRUU
problem with that.

Phone stuck in htc logo while rooting

Hello.
I try root my htc One X international, i unlock bootloader, then i use r3 endeavour insecurebootandroot , and in a middle of rooting cmd on my computer just shut off, and phone stuck on htc logo, since then i can't turn it on , all i can do is use power and volume down, i try factory reset, didn't help, phone still stuck on htc logo, when i try recovery, i get phone lay on back, with red triangle on it.
please, can anyone know how to fix it ? htc always was pain in ass to root, but this time i stuck. Many threads are similar, but mostly people stuck after they already rooted and flash rom, i don't go that far, not sure phone is even rooted, but bootloader is unlocked so far.

Mate, it sounds like your system is wiped, so the phone can't boot. Do you have any experience with fastboot and ADB commands?
If so, download a custom recovery (CWM, or TWRP, or Phil'z touch - recommended), place it in your fastboot folder, and type:
fastboot flash recovery downloadedrecoveryname.img in CMD window.
This wil enable you to use custom recovery.
Hopefully, you already have a custom ROM which you want to install. Extract boot.img from the ROM.zip, and place it in your fastboot older, and type:
fastboot flash boot boot.img in CMD window, followed by fastboot erase cache.
Then, reboot to your recovery, and flash ROM.zip (I guess you don't need any specific instructions for that).

No, mate.
The ROM.zip goes to your sd card.
You can copy it through recovery, but mounting sd card.
In recovery you have all these options. Also, in ROM's thread (whichever you chose to flash) there is thorough instruction how to flash ROM.

Img is the correct format.
:good:
I believe you are capable of getting in bootloader and flashing through fastboot.

You are welcome, mate. I'm glad it worked for you. Enjoy your HOX, it's a great phone, and Viper is a great ROM.
I suggest you flash Alex V kernel. It will bring more nice features to your phone
