[Q] Lost connection to mobile netowrk - HTC One X

Hi,
Recently, I found my phone can only connect to the mobile network for a few minutes. After a few minutes, it lost connection to the mobile network. I tried to turn on the air plane mode, then turn off to reset the state. But it does not work. I also tried to search and register to the network again, but when I try I got the following messages in logcat.

I will have to reboot my phone to connect to the mobile network. But it will only last for a few minutes.
While my mobile network is not working, my wifi works fine. So I think my antenna is fine.
Thanks

Check IMEI. Maybe it's affected. That's why your network stop working.

Hi Merlin,
What do you mean "it's affected". I checked my IMEI:
- I dial *#06#, and I got a pop up saying...OK...not the number. Very strange
- I try to find it from my phone status. But it is not there...I am using CM 11
- I finally found the IMEI number on my google dashboard.
What next? Please help.

I reboot my phone, and tried again. Now I understand:
- Dialing *#06# gives me the correct IMEI code
- I can see my IMEI code in phone status
So the problem is, after some time, my phone lost it IMEI...How could this be possible? Any idea how to fix this?

I have been having same problem for 2 weeks. HOX losts gsm signal suddenly and then connect again but generally nowadays phone's gsm signal level is too low. No one can call me.
Before that problem, HOX had low wifi signal level problem as normally but it had good gsm signal. Now it is far from it. good wifi signal bad gsm signal.!!
Is it a hardware or software problem?? Should I install rom again?
Android Revolution HD 33.1 is installed.

I don't think it is a gsm signal problem. In my case, when my phone is connected to the network, the signal was strong and the voice in call was clear. When it lost connection, it can not connect back to the network until I reboot the phone.
I did not have this problem before. I started having this issue after I install Lollipop. I think it is a software issue. I am considering to fallback to KitKat. Lollipop on HOX is too slow anyway.

damn it...I think I will have to eat my own words.
I think it is a GSM network signal related. I switched my mobile network to 2G, and my phone has connected to the mobile network for hours without disconnecting.
For some reason, the system cannot recover from a disconnected 3G network...which is very strange.

Requesting help to get data working with RingPlus

Hi,
I'm trying to flash back two E4GT phones from PagePlus to Sprint (RingPlus MVNO). I get calls and text but no data. I suspect the mobile IP (M.IP) address maybe wrong. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge can help me out. I keep getting error 67. If anyone has QPST and can confirm their settings it would be much appreciated. Here are my current settings:
Settings tab- Service programming/field service/one time subsidy lock (uses 1) are all the MSL on the account. General = slot cycle 2, Current NAM=Nam1, Auto Nam = unchecked, SPC change enabled = checked.
CDMA tab- Nam Name = "SPCS", Directory = R+ phone number(10 digits no space/no dash), AOC=6, MCC=310, MNC = 10, IMSI_S = MSID (10 digits), Primary Channel A/B=283/384, Secondary Channel A/B=691/777, EVRC enabled for Home Page/Home Orig/Roam orig. Question here, I certain all is correct except for MNC. I've read 10, 12 and 120. QPST will only accept a 2 digit code for this field. Does it matter as it seems to work with both 10, 12 and even 00 (just not with 120).
CDMA-2 tab - NAM name = SPCS, Directory = R+ (10 digit number), True IMSI with MCC=310, MNC=12 and IMSI_S=MSID (10 digit)....Identical to first CDMA tab.
System tab - SID=4162, NID=65535, preferred mode = CDMA only, Band and Roam preference = Automatic
Roam tab- I loaded PRL 60690
Data tab- MDR mode = Svc Opt 33 pfrd, Pkt Dial String #777, Service option=IS-707
M.ip tab -
profile 0 (available = 0 and 1), NAI = R+ 10 digit [email protected], HA shared secret = text string "secret", AAA key=unknown what this value is and read that it's provided OTA at time of programming, Rev Tunnel Preferred=enabled, Home Address=0.0.0.0, Primary HA address = 68.28.81.76, Secondary HA address = 68.28.89.76, MN-HA SPI=4D2, MN-AAA SPI=4D2, DMU public key ID=0, DMU Mobile Authenticator=blank
Profile 1- Everything exactly the same as profile 0 with the only exception of Primary HA address = 255.255.255.255
Thanks in advance.
I used MVNOslayer to configure my phone to ringplus.
I am dealing with the same mip error 67. I kinda expect it since its a old phone that got replaced , i got two prevails now to flash, mod en xposed , and maybe decompile my odexed phones framework, Eventually ill look on my good rom but if ne thing I mod on dummy prevail to fix this I will surely let you kno bud or send file/link after i check on primary cell to ya since im on boost/sprint

Android N: Can't manually connect to cellular network...

I'm a simple appdev with simple wishes...
So i ended up going to Germany yesterday to find that i can't manually connect to any network, even the one of my own service provider back here. The Logcat really isn't too helpful: (Fetched through Android Studio, verbose mode on the logat monitor)

Starting to think this is an Android N thing, could anyone confirm? Also, I've done the obvious: Reboot, re-place simcard, both simultaneously, etc.
So, I'm headed back there tomorrow and going to London in a couple weeks, so I'm kind of in need of some internet, basically:
Halp! If any more info is neccesairy, I'll be happy to hear
Thanks in advance
I've just noticed the double thread, sorry for that... Thought i accidentally quitted the 'new thread' page, oops...
This is related to the Developer Preview of Android N, I already reported it to Google, but I encourage you guys to do the same. That way, they would know about it and hopefully fix it in DP5.
I'm having the same problem on DP4. A work around solution that is working for me is registering my sim in a different phone, then putting the sim back in my N5X on DP4 and then it registers on the network the other phone was on. Totally strange. So for example, I was in Korea the other day and attempted the register on a network that I've used many times in the past and my N5X would not register. I took my sim out and put it in my Moto E, let it register, then swapped the sim back in my N5X. Then the N5X would register and work.
Everywhere I have been now on DP4 and roaming has given me the same problem, Anchorage, and Taiwan. Everytime swapping the sim has worked as a work around, I don't know why.
Might be something you try till it gets fixed

How to fetch Phone number

I need to show phone number and network operator name on Dialer app installed on HeadUnit.
I am able to fetch operator name via AG_EVENT registering on BroadcastReceiver.
I could find that via ACTION_LAST_VTAG registering on BroadcastReceiver, we have this EXTRA_NUMBER which can return "phone number" of the connected device.
But this action never gets triggered after the device gets connected.
Am I missing something ?
It was easy.
The AG_EVENT action has an Extra attribute BluetoothHeadsetClient.EXTRA_SUBSCRIBER_INFO. This will give us phone number of the device.
But there is limitation; if at the time of connecting mobile device with Head Unit, if mobile device has no network. We won't be able to fetch phone number nor operator name.
