Download GooManager from the Play Store, and run twrp recovery set up and make sure you are on the latest updated recovery. Not only you want it updated but I seem to have read that recoveries can get corrupted. Also make sure you have enough storage space in the area it is trying to create te backup.

Unroot and reroot. I would suggest using clockwork mod..... But that's just me. My device does not like twrp
running liQuidSmooth w/ BMS sexiness
I did the goomanager thing a few days ago that's how I got the latest twrp recovery I've tried putting roms and the back ups on internal and external sd nothing is working I think im going to odin it back stock and start over unless any one has any better ideas.. By the way im looking for the stock .tar files all the links I find are dead any have them or know where I can find them?
Hi,
just got my new Tab3 7" before Weekend. Want to root it and install a custom now.
Before that i surely have to install a new recovery. So by now there are TWRP or CWM Recovery. Are there any major differences, advantages or any other important things to know about? Didnt use one of them by now on any device.
Which one should one use?
Thx in advance!
YWRP vs CWM

I recommend you to google " TWRP vs Clockworkmod". At least the droidiser website gave me a general idea what this is about.
I will use CWM because I already used it on my HTC evo 3D and the CWM thread in the sgt 3 community looks much more lively .
PS: seems for me that the TWRP got an easier interface

I would suggest twrp. The latest cwm for me has some issues like I after flashing I still got stock recovery and when I finally got cwm I have nabigation issues. I use twrp with nice interface and no issues as of now
Sent from my SM-T210R using xda app-developers app
Due to switching back to stock rom (for now) i tried twrp now (before i got cwm).
Have to say i will stay at twrp for now as cwm had strange display problems (text got visible/got refreshed only after swiping the display, wrong entrys got selected,...)
twrp works flawlessly and cant get a single reason y not to use it.
Hello!
I recently got a Note 2 (GT-N7105)
And for some silly reason wich even disappoints myself i wanted to overclock , well that didn't make sense i know but however i did it! and directly after i installed the required file (I don't remember wich one but it was for 1.8Ghz) after the installing my phone kept showing the boot logo , i tried to use my backup but even after restoring it didnt boot! I cleaned everything wich also cleaned my backup...
I been on it for about 7 hours now trying different roms , kernels , and every file i could find but nothing helps.
I now installed Cyanogenmod using CMW but even that bootloops.
The last thing i could notice is CMW showing me a E: failed to Mount /efs (Invalid argument) Wich makes me worry even more...
I honestly hope there are some good peaple who could help me with this... Finally got a great phone and by stupid mistakes i made it won't work anymore..
I don't care what rom gets on it , Even if its a hello kitty rom u won't hear me complain , If the phone works again i'll be happy!
Not sure if this helps but its a GT-N7105 , i know it had the newest android there was (4. something, i think it was 4.3)
Odin does see the device , My CMW (6.0.4.1) works and Download Mode works.
I hope anybody can help me!
In case you want to help me live wich would be awesome my skype is : chrishendriks92
If it gets fixed i will Offcourse place the solution here.
(The note is not a new one , its used and a few months old , worked 100% before my stupid decisions bricked it)
(so here's a small version)
-Every rom i tried will bootloop , It shows a different boot video/logo everytime tho
-It all happened after i tried a 2.8Ghz Overclock
-i get a EFS error in CMW
-Accidentily i deleted my backup but i don't mind whatever rom gets on it
-Download mode and CMW (6.0.4.1) works

Ok, so what I would do.
I would wipe data through CWM.
Download official ROM from sammobile.com and flash it through Odin.
I hope this will help to get the phone booted.
After that we will worry about imei recovery.

Thank you for your reply:good:
I'm downloading it , looks like its going to take a while so i'll let you know!
Try mskips toolkit from skipsoft.net. It has a recovery package that should do the trick. There is a thread on it on here but i think it's closed due to Microsoft signature issues

I'm afraid downloading/Flashing the rom didnt work.

Would be amazing if you could help me out with this because i can't choose ''Option 2'' right picture , it just won't take it.
I can install teamviewer or whatever programm you want
I have the same problem, I'm on 4.3 version and tried to downgrade to 4.1.1 and went back to 4.3, I formatted the system through twrp with NO OS INSTALLED to be sure it is totally cleaned but all the way, I still experiencing reboot issue.
At first I encountered unfortunately systemui has stopped, done rooting and fixing permission but still no luck.
One more thing, I already flashed pit file.
.
(Update , I tried anything i could but it didnt work out , its going to Samsung Support)

You installed a kernel right? To over clock? First flash new bootloader, then flash stock kernel, then again flash stock rom, do not let the device boot up before you have done all three.

I tried Agni pure kernel and followed your instructions but no avail,I think there is problem with the board, because when I wipe, the SuperSu also erased.

yup I already did that,I flashed stock kernel from http://opensource.samsung.com/.I know reflashing stock rom will delete everything including root.
What I mean is when Im rooted and tried to wipe the phone, SuperSu also deleted.Im wondering that I have a corrupted emmc, It seems that it is not mounted correctly, although I tried to flash a pit file already.

Hi,
I am comfortable with flashing and have twrp 2.7.2 on my SGH-T889.
I have tried everything I can think of to make it work and read the thread obsessively and whatever I try has me stuck at the Samsung screen that flashes.
I am coming from a 4.3 rom that a guy made that was prerooted and kept the 4.1.2 bootloader.
Is there no way to load EZKAT 2.0 without putting that knox crap on your phone?
I wouldn't even know where to get the 4.3 bootloader.
I can't post in that forum because although I frequent the site regularly, I have never posted.
Any help would be most appreciated.
I just flashed back to the 4.3 prerooted stock rom with the 4.1.2 bootloader.
Thanks
After a clean wipe
Reboot back into recovery
Then flash the rom.
If that doesnt work you might need to open up winzip ajd remove the modem/radio files.
And don't forget to flash the MK7 modem after the rom if you don't pull out the modem. Also if you are not on the 4.3 bootloader you will want the agni kernel for wifi support.
Ok, I have downloaded a bunch of files and will give it another go.
If that doesn't work then try philz touch recovery. That is what I used and it works great.

Ive used philz and twrp to flash this... mk7 radio flash is an important step.
I think that this agni kernel might be the cause
I am not sure why I am this is proving so tough for me.
I have interpreted the instructions that I must use the agni kernel to get it to work as I am on the 4.1.2 bootloader.
Can any T-Mobile users using a SGH-T889 show me the steps they used to get to the setup screen?
I got to the welcome screen
I finally got to the welcome screen and even though I flashed the keyboard fix, I have no keyboard.
Hands free mode opens up every time there is a need for an input.
I have gone back into twrp and flashed the keyboard again with the same results.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Mexigga, please advise
I was able to get the keyboard flashed after multiple attempts and turn off hands free mode.
Mexigga, what bootloader are you on? And when do you flash the AGNI kernel? I downloaded the kernel that you have attached to your post and want to use it.
skip skip

Which method did you use to root? Did you root & wipe at her same time without a reboot? what exactly did you wipe? Did you wipe to install a new ROM? Which ROM did you install or are you still on stock?
