Nope. Running CM12. Tried Supersu instead of the built in su, no luck. Tried changing SELinux to permissive, no luck.
No way am I going to post in that xposed thread. It's nuts over there.

Hahaha yeah I saw. Anyone with a complaint gets bombarded. I hope it gets sorted. It's the only thing holding me back from lollipop(I need my instagram downloader)
This is a helpful work-around post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58862247&postcount=1344
^^ UPDATE: It works. ^^
If I have time I'll try the init.d fix posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58859387&postcount=1317
Working for me on latest illusion ROM. Only install modules that are known to work. Ones that don't have caused boot loops for me. There's a spread sheet with a list of modules that work and don't work. Just google xposed lollipop modules it came right up for me. Good Times are here.

I appreciate the fact that many will think this thread is a complete waste of time, but i'm struggling to find out how to actually do this with the G4. I have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP 2.8.7.0 installed, but from what i've read the latest Xposed Framework installer (v79) is still causing bootloops on this phone. Are there any safe methods to install Xposed without using the drawn out solution posted here?

from what you read?! what about trying yourself?
tons of people here have the latest xposed working just fine.... too busy ****ting your pants for a bootloop (that with twrp on you can solve in 2mins)???

Just make sure you have the uninstaller to hand if you need it and also take a back up. I have used xposed on stock 5.1 and stock 6 also cm12.1 and cm13 so there shouldn't be any issues here

I don't think you are an idiot... You have actually taken the time to read the thread and check compatibility which is very smart.
I know v79 skd23 works on cm13 and genesis v3.5 so any marshmallow based roms should be fine. If you have issues then use the uninstaller and if that fails then restore the backup you have taken. No harm done. If you do have issues I'm sure a fresh install of your rom of choice and then install xposed (and nothing else at the same time, plus wipe dalvik and cache) should sort you out.

Thank you for being so kind. I went into TWRP and flashed the file, but unfortunately i ended up with the bootloop. So then i went to boot into recovery by holding the power buttons, but all it gives me is the LG recovery and not TWRP. So now my phone is essentially bricked and i've only had it a week.

We're okay, i sorted it. Never been so scared in my life, thought the phone was done for because i had no ADB or Fastboot to save me. It turns out that by choosing the factory reset option in the LG recovery, it simply boots straight to TWRP because the default recovery is missing. Then i was able to flash the Xposed uninstaller and it booted fine afterwards.

Sorry..... That's your issue. I actually told you wrong yesterday. I meant to say stock based marshmallow rather than stock. It will work with genesis v3.5 which is stock based and an easy flash of you are already on marshmallow. It's due to xposed needing the system to be deodexed.
Regards,
Ravi

Meh, well it booted alright but i ended up with 'SystemUI has stopped working' against a black screen. Dammit.
I know KK is old but why am I having such difficulties finding information? That's's not my real question though. I finally got V4A to work and now I'm trying to get Xposed installed. I've got the apk file, that's's easy, but I can't find anything on the file I need to flash in TWRP.
Can anyone help me out? I assume I'm looking for something regarding sdk 19.

Yea, I was just coming back here to correct myself. No flashing of anything is needed. I didn't realize though that the alpha version of the installer wouldn't work. All is well now.

Is there an xposed runtime .zip or whatever for the marshmallow update to Sprint s6 to be able to use xposed modules?
I still have:
xposed-v80.0-sdk22-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160211.zip
Which worked on LP, but I don't want to flash it and mess up the phone if it's not supposed to be for this version.

There's a marshmallow version of xposed in the original thread, however, we don't have twrp yet. There's no way to flash a zip without that, at least that I know of. I'm sure we won't be waiting too long for twrp though.

No, that is from the official xposed thread, not the one for Samsung phones. This thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960

I've gotten a full day of heavy use with a custom ROM, I didn't make it to 5pm today. I had greenify and amplify working on the custom rom though, so hopefully now that we have recovery, I can test out xposed and get some of those things back. This was my first Samsung phone, I'm not sure I'd go to the S7 after this experience. I came from a phone that easily got 1.5 days on a charge.

I can't get this working correctly.
I installed flashfire and flash the zip and let it keep the option to mount system read/write, and i see it unpacking files, and then the screen goes blank and eventually i have to force it to reboot.
After reboot, xposed apk says it's not installed.
Is there some other way to flash the zip?

You used flashfire? That won't do it for me. After extracting, goes to a black screen and I have to force a reboot, then xposed afterwards says it's not installed.
Worked just fine for me. For multiple different files. V4a, xposed, and a couple other things.
Screenshots added for exact settings I used.
Flashfire takes a few minutes to load once it does all that unpacking. My suggestion would be to be patient before forcing a reboot.

Same here! I don't know why this hasn't been mentioned sooner. I would advise anyone looking to use Viper4Android try another version first. The one that worked for me and generally has the most success is ViPER4Android_2.5.0.5_guitaredhero. Basically I flashified the zip, used SELINUXMODECHANGER to set the kernel to permissive, then replaced the audio_effect.conf file posted in another thread, installed viper's driver, reboot.

Does this work without root (obviously need root to initial flash it), such as on roms like jrkruse's noname rom?
It looks like the official Xposed has been released for 7.1.x. It doesn't look like people have gotten it to work with Pixel (XL) though. Has anyone tried?
I'm using Pure Nexus 7.1.2 with Magisk 14.2 and I am unable to get the new Xposed to work. Has anyone tried it with a stock rom?
Yea , i tried and it didnt work . I am not on stock , i am using PN.
i read in the xposed thread that many people tried it on the pixel xl and not working.
when i tried to flash the framework it gave me an error about mounting system.
check this:

Edit : i installed it using the app and it worked !
I'm using PN latest , and managed to get it working using Flashfire.
Use Flashfire to install the ARM64 (v88) zip. Just make sure you select Auto-Mount in Flashfire when you have selected that zip.
When you've rebooted, install the Xposed 3.1.2 app.
I've only tried Youtube adaway, and that is working fine. I know a lot of modules need to be updated for Nougat.
I'm using SuperSu 2.82 SR5, I'm not sure this installation method will work using Magisk.
Works fine from the App just click the install button and select install when it's finished reboot

Isn't that unofficial xposed? I tried that a couple weeks ago before the official version came out and it wouldn't work for me. Ended up getting rid of magisk and getting supersu and then using the xposed installer to install xposed.
