Note 3 SM-N900 stuck at "Firmware upgrade error" Please help! - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hello everyone,
Hope you are well.
I am having a bad day with this Note 3. After resetting the stock firmware, it kept on giving a yellow sign at the notification bar that says "unauthorised operation detected, please reboot to prevent changes". Note that this is after full reset and no update or anything installed. After It restarted, it did something which looks like when a device gets a rom update (like those tools working on the droid belly), and after that it rebooted and keeps showing "Firmware upgrade encountered and issue, Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again".
I installed Kies 3 and it detects the phone but then says its not supported. If I try to do an firmware initialization and recovery, it asks for the phone model and serial number, after I enter both, it comes up with a message saying "SM-N900 does not support initializing."
Odin can't flash the phone either, its coming up with and error says write failed.
Please advise on how to proceed from here.
Many thanks in advance.

"Firmware upgrade encountered" message

I've searched this forum and the internet for hours. When I power up my phone I get the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue.
When I put it in ODIN and try to flash a stock rom it fails and reads SV REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 1 > Binary 0
Is there any way to get my phone working again? Thanks!

Extreme noob-GN2 w no mods stuck on Galaxy Note II screen

So I recently upgraded to the Galaxy Note 4 but kept using my Note 2 to internet surf, get on reddit, etc. The other night, I picked up the Note 2, hit the home button, the screen came on for a sec and then it shut down and the "Galaxy Note II" came up... and there it stayed.
This is a completely stock phone (SGH-I317. running 4.2.2) I have zero experience in moding android phones, did some jailbreaking on iphone back in the 3GS and iphone 4 days.
I just want to get back to stock so I can have the Note II as a backup. I don't need any data from the phone.
I can get into recovery, but with a host of red errors including
E:failed to mount /efs (No such file or directory)
E:failed to mount /system (No such file or directory)
then
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
then a whole host of similar errors in red consisting of "failed to mount" and "can't mount" and "can't open" various directories
The restore menu comes up, select "wipe data/factory reset"
more similar errors, shows "wipe complete", and goes back to the restore menu. Select reboot. Reboots, sticks on the Samsung Galaxy Note II screen.
I can get into download mode and I've tried Kies Emergency Firmware Recovery. Shows connecting, but never connects.
Tried the second option on the tools menu "Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation" input model and s/n, but process ends after several minutes with "Failed to upgrade firmware due to an unexpected error. Do you want to run firmware emergency recovery now" which I can't do because I can't get the phone to "connect"
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Try to root it with CF Autoroot and install a recovery.

You're running into the same bootloader issue the rest of us are right now. See my solution here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...days-update-soft-bricked-phone-t2939649/page2. If you want stock, you'll have to download Android 4.4.2 in order to be able to flash it.

Thank you for your reply.
I had read your post before starting this thread, but didn't think this would apply to a phone that was bone stock, never modded, just rebooted and froze.
But this can happen to a stock phone also?

Honestly, this is just one thing you might try. If you're trying to reinstall in Kies, you'll be downgrading, which might run you into the same bootloader problem we were having.
An alternative approach, you could download Odin and install the old bootloader, as described here: http://www.androidcentral.com/downgrade-android-help, and then try Kies again.
Of course, I am GUESSING about your problem. It's entirely likely that the storage on your Note II has pooped out and nothing I'm proposing will help.

Thanks again for your reply.
I'm hoping this is not a pooped storage issue.
I'll try your solutions and see what happens (fingers crossed)

Here's great info here.

A stock ODIN of 4.4.2 is there. Also some info on bootloaders. You CANNOT flash over bootloaders under MK6, which is 4.3

tried to flash root66_ATT_I317UCAMA4.7Z looks like messed up, need help

Hi, I downloaded root66_ATT_I317UCAMA4.7Z and extracted root66_ATT_I317UCAMA4.tar.md5. Using odin 3.07 I assigned PDA field to root66_ATT_I317UCAMA4.tar.md5 but at the end of download progress, I got fail status on Odin interface.
At the top left corner of the screen, it says "DW REV. Invalid magic string"
Also prior to doing that during one of the attempts, i might have disconnected the USB cable and now phone will display following message as soon as I connect:
"FW upgrade encountered an issu. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I also installed Kies and do a emergency but ****ing thing is asking for some code from previous installation and ****.
Any help recovering using anything but not Kies?
Thanks.,
Can you get into download mode? If you can, try downloading and install the stock MA4 firmware from sammobile.com.

OTA update fails at 25%

I have a stock unrooted N7100. I was notified of a software update yesterday, and chose to install it. The phone rebooted, got to 25%, then displayed a dead Android with the message "Error", and rebooted. If I go to the Software Update screen I get this message:
"Failed to update firmware. Try again using PC software (Kies) or visit a Samsung service centre"
The phone is currently running Android 4.4.2 - build KOT49H.N7100XXUFNE1.
Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you have any luck using Kies?
I've tried to install Kies on my Acer Switch 10V Windows 10 laptop and got this error:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
