As far as I know we need to wait for Sunshine to get updated to version 3.0 as I believe it is the only one working method to s-off M8. Personally I am waiting for that as well.
Regards

Ok thanks!

s-off htc one m8
before update my htc one m8 to lollipop, i make backup for stock android 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 with twrp recovery. if i back to stock 4.4.2 or 4.4.3, can i gain s-off?
If you're now on Lollipop you cannot S-OFF as Sunshine isn't compatible (yet). If you're still on Android 4.4.3 you should be able to get S-OFF
EDIT: Looks like I'm wrong! Sunshine now apparently works on 5.0.x - http://theroot.ninja/download.html

As I said, no as you can't downgrade properly BUT Sunshine now works with Lollipop so you're good to go

Whoa, that must have been super recent, like the last couple days!
I have to go change a bunch of my posts in the last day or 2 now, saying 4.4.4 and 5.0 aren't supported by sunshine!

VZW HTC One M7, HBOOT 1.61 Droid 5.0.2, help!

Ok, so I have a VZW HTC One M7 that has been updated to HBOOT 1.61 running Droid 5.0.2. Am I dead in the water with trying to root and s-off this phone? I've been searching for a while now with no luck. If it is possible to root this phone please tell me so I can stop whining about it!

Your stuck, as Sunshine does not work for Android 5.0.0
Search Google for someone with a Java Card.
Also your post is better suited in the General Section.
Good Luck.

Note at this time.
Verizon locks the bootloaders, so you can't use the HTC Dev website.
The M7 is over two years old. So I don't it is a priority now.

HTC__621 2.10.709.6 (htc_himauhl): Want to install ViperOneM9 3.5.0

Hello,
I have rooted my HTC one m9 and now I want to install a Viper rom, like I've already done on my older phones (HTC sensation, HTC one x and HTC one M7).
I think it's not possible to install Viper 4.1.0 because the firmware for marshmallow and my CID HTC__621 has not already been released by HTC .
Can anyone confirm that it is possible to flash ViperOneM9 3.5.0?
Appreciate an answer very much.
Thank you!

If you are running 2.10.xxxx then you could flash viper 3.5.0 just go to their download page and follow the instructions, very simple that you shouldn't have waited for a reply
Just wanted to be sure

RUU for HTC__001 WWE

Hi Masters!
I'm having issue updating my HTC M8 to Marshmallow. I tried the RUU that I got from HTC website (Unlocked/Developer). But I'm getting e155 error. I checked the readme file and it says that I dont have the right RUU for my HTC.
Installed CID Checker and here's what I get: HTC__001 WWE
I am assuming that this is a Unlocked Phone.
Please help me out masters. I beg you.
I really want to install stock marshmallow without loosing the features of HTC Apps.

I'd wait for another few days, the rumour is that MM 401 might be pushed next week.
We'll just have to wait and see.

If you are S-Off you can flash the Dev Ed firmware. Or you could flash the ViperOneM8 ROM. It got updated to MM yesterday, and works with 4.16.401.10 firmware. That's what I'm using with it right now.
