Wiped phone, lost Nav Bar, Notification Shade and...internal storage?! - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All
I've had an M8 sat around for a bit doing nothing so I've decided to sell it on. Just wiped via TWRP and as I said in the title, I've now got no nav bar, no notification shade and internal storage isn't being recognised.
I've tried reflashing the ROM I've used previously (the Lollipop GPE zip) and still having the same problem. I'm at a bit of a loss as for what to do, any suggestions?

Problems with MikG Inc 3.0

So I flashed MikG Inc 3.0 today and I've had a few annoying bugs. First off I keep getting that verizon ota update notification and don't know how to get rid of it. Second I have this message in notifications that says "Phone storage is empty or has unsupported files", my sd card and emmc are working fine so I don't know what the problem is. How do I get rid of it? Also occasionally when I reboot I'll end up at the lockscreen only there is no slider and only the wallpaper so I have to do a battery pull. Any ideas on what's wrong?

I had the same issue with the SD card i believe. it even carried over to other roms, I fixed it by flashing another Sense rom (Teerom) and when it popped up in the notification bar i clicked it and formatted it. Problem solved.
As for the lockscreen issue, after i saw it two or three times, i went back to my regular rom. Its a really fast 2.1 rom but as with all ports, it has bugs.

[Q] Headset Icon persistent on status bar - Unable to hear through earpiece

Dear All,
I have E975 International Version with JB and flashed KK. I had a strange issue 2 days before: All of a sudden I saw a headset icon in status bar and I couldn't find any settings to remove it. Because of this I was not able to hear anything through phone's earpiece when attending a call.. I had to use my earphones and after the call ended and I removed the earphones, still the icon was showing and still the same condition.
This happened to me on JB also, so, I did wipe cache, dalvik cache, hard reset everything... none of them worked.. so, I switched off the phone for some 4 to 5 hours and rebooted it.. now the Icon is gone.. but unfortunately when I did hard reset, my internal memory is wiped, luckily i had a backup so no issues...
So, my question is, have anyone of you had this issue before? is this ROM specific? because it happened to me on JB and on KK(both stock kdz flashed through flash too)
Now, I'm back to JB(flashed through kdz). Im using open europe v10H. my earlier kk was german v20A.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you all
So weird.... Don ve ny issues lyk this.... Might be some water or moisture has sticked inside the port.... I guess...!!

Weird behaviour since converting back from GPE.

Hi guys,
So I recently converted my phone to a GPE edition with the RUU in order to experience Lollipop.
After a while I missed the Sense features a lot, so I decided to go back to Sense.
I followed the steps in this thread and succesfully flashed the firmware and a stock nandroid. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523)
I booted up and discovered that root had persisted. I wanted a fully clean Sense wipe, so I decided to do the following.
I installed TWRP, did a factory reset and formatted /system/. I then installed the stock recovery again and flashed the following RUU through the SD-card + hboot method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/htc-one-m8-european-signed-ruu-0p6bimg-t2911563 (the 1.12.401.17 one)
Everything ran succesfully, no errors popped up and the process said "succes, press power to reboot" or something.
I set my phone up again, not restoring from backups and keeping a minimal amount of apps installed. Ever since the RUU flash I have noticed the following things:
-The phone will turn on randomly from sleep. When it's on my desk, even when nothing is prompting it to wake up (no notifications or anything). Like it's responding to phantom wake gestures.
-Music playback will quit at a random point through a song. The music boomsound icon will still display in the status bar but the music player completely quits and the app reloads when opened.
-Apps refresh during use. When i'm using some apps, like the settings or music app, it will "refresh" and scroll back to the top. Not due to excessive ram usage.
-The auto rotate toggle doesn't work. Even with auto rotate disabled, it still rotates to landscape and upside down. I redid the g sensor calibration but didn't help
I experience this issue on every update, and i've updated back up to 4.4.4 sense. Neither a factory reset nor a reflash of the ruu fixes these issues. I'm very certain that the RUU is flashing succesfully.
I looked at memory use and it's sitting at a very modest 800mb out of 1.8Gb.
Anyone have any idea what is happening to my phone?

White screen bugs after autoroot on 5.0.2

Hi! I have an issue. I wanted to give my tablet a boost, and I decided to do the autoroot method. The first time, everything was fine. However, when I tried flashing a custom rom and then going back to the stock rom, the issues began. Since this is my first post, I can't post any pictures, so if you want them, send me a message and I'll send them to you via email. The list of random appearing symptoms include:
White status bar
Random colored (depending lf the last app used) recent apps buttons
White patch over wifi and battery icons
White flash on the top left of the screen when there are notifications
Please help me! I 've tried:
Wipe
Stock firmware reinstall
Recovery wipe and reinstall
Change kernel
Etc...
Thanks for your time and support.

HTC M8 - EE UK - systemui stopped working after factory reset

Hi everyone,
Looking for a solution to my stock, unrooted M8. Carrier - EE.
Android 6.0/Sense 7.0. Software 6.12.61.4
Have had the phone nearly two years so undertook a factory reset to clear it out. Initiated factory reset through settings in the normal UI.
Factory reset completed. Got the welcome screen etc. However, no nav bar, no status bar (with clock, battery at top), and no notification pull-down. Black screen (no default wallpaper), but all standard apps present.
Attempted factory reset again from bootloader. This time, as soon as it booted to the home screen, I got the error com.android.systemui has stopped unexpectedly. Regardless of whether I pressed "send" or "don't send" error report to HTC, the error message disappears and it begins to flash between a black screen and the default sense 7.0 wallpaper - but no sign of apps, icons, etc. The power button is responsive and displays the power off/restart options.
Reset a third time from stock recovery menu. Same result. Have also tried clearing cache, etc.
Weirdly, it optimises what I take to be a number of default apps each time during the factory reset - don't know if that's normal or not.
I'm assuming that my copy of the OS in the recovery partition has got buggered up somehow. But I'm new to this whole flashing/rooting business and most of the guides I've found seem to presuppose that I'm trying to get back to stock from having rooted my phone and installed something else, and I don't really understand them.
So -
1. any ideas about what's happened/how to fix it? I've spoken with HTC but they want me to send it in. 2-3 weeks!
2. assuming that I just need to reinstall a clean version of the software, how do I go about doing that? How do I know what the right version is, and where do I get it? Can I reinstall it without rooting the phone and installing a custom bootloader?
I did have a hunt through previous threads. The closest I found was this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/ui-htc-one-m8-t3024485 but it still leaves me uncertain about how to find the right software and actually install it.
Thanks very much in advance.
Michael
Okay, solved - somehow.
Formatted and removed SD card, just in case. Factory reset again, no joy.
Then also removed sim card, and factory reset again from stock recovery. This time performed cache wipe immediately before factory reset - whereas before I'd wiped cache, restarted, confirmed error still present, then factory reset as a second step.
Systemui and nav/status/pull-down bars all present as normal this time.
I find it hard to believe that the presence of the sim card could have made a difference, so I assume that the cache wipe and then immediate restart did the job.
Anyway, resolved now. Happy days.
