I felt like giving paranoid android a go, seeing as I've been using CM for years now and wondered how different the two are these days.
But I've been stumped in trying to flash it to my phone. I'm running one of the latest CM nightlies for the find7 (not the s variant) and that states it's for the find7, find7a and find7s. But neither version of the PA rom will flash due to my phone version being the find7a.
Is there any PA rom that I can flash that is based on lollipop?

Nearly every project supports both 7a and 7s with a single unified build. CM broke their crap by listening to jumoog too much (even Nameless realized that splitting builds was a bad idea...)
The problem you describe sounds like a broken recovery.

I've just updated to the latest twrp and downloaded the find7 QHD and UHD version of the PA rom and still no luck. The error says the rom is for the find7 and my device is the FIND7. I also just want to double check the 7a isn't the QHD version of the device?

Could be a broken update-binary file in the zip file. People had this issue with some other ROMs. Will check later.

So, I am using MultiROM and used it to install Cyanogenmod 11 Snapshot M8. However, it took almost 15 minuted to boot up into the OS. Furthermore, When I installed gapps, the UI too, became horribly laggy. Any Advice/Solution?

I would try re-flashing it from CyanogenMod's website (get.cm). CM11 has been working great for me after doing it that way.
Edit: Disregard that answer. Just realized you arent wanting this as your main ROM.

Try a more stable version
Maybe you should try a more stable version like a snapshot or release candidate and most preferably, a stable version. Maybe its just a bug that your build is having.
Hi,
I would like flash my LG G3 with one version pure of android. I saw who had several CM version unofficial.
What version would be the most usable for a use of everything in daytime?
Thank you
Don't use CyanogenMod (or any other ROM for that matter) if you need stability.

I have Cyanogenmod 12 installed on my G3, been using it for 2 weeks and it's been very reliable, stable and fast. I can't recommend it enough.

Hi everyone, I compiled CyanogenMod 10.2 (JellyBean 4.3) for armani
The reason I built this ROM is because I couldn't find a "AOSP-ish" JellyBean ROM for armani.
It should be stable as it uses proprietary binaries from the stock ROM & official Xiaomi Kernel sources. But I can't guarantee.
The build is based on the stable branch of CyanogenMod 10.2.
ROM is compiled with Linaro 4.8 and Kernel is compiled with Linaro 4.9 for maximum smoothness.
Please test and report problems as I don't have this device. I will try and find a solution if things are broken.
Hence why I said I can't guarantee how stable it is because this is UNTESTED
Flash at your own risk!!
ROM may be UNROOTED because the target build is user (instead of userdebug), so DO NOT FORGET TO FLASH SUPERSU zip
Instructions:
0. Make sure that you have a custom recovery (I highly recommend TWRP)
1. Wipe Data
2. Flash the ROM
3. Flash Gapps
4. (optional) Flash SuperSU if you want root
5. Enjoy

FAQ
Why is it unrooted?
Because the target build is 'user' instead of 'userdebug'. 'user' disables few debugging modules and it will improve performance a bit.

I'm sorry, thanks for trying.
Anyone willing to give me a logcat if possible?
Sorry i m a noob , how can i give you a logcat ?
I install first rom than gapp, after only rom but in same case bootloop.
I use on linux adb command "adb logcat" when the terminal in bootloop but in the terminal there is :"waiting for devices "
Sorry for my bad english.
I guess it means the kernel failed to boot.
Something's wrong.. I've built ROM twice for Nexus 4 and Xperia L but never had this problem..
Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend so I can only continue working on this ROM on Wednesday.
If anyone knows what the problem is please PM me or reply to this thread.
DL link will be kept alive so people can continue investigating.

My friend CM11(kitkat) is faster than previous jellybean version. whats the use of using old builds with less security and apps are too mentioning kitkat & above as requirements. I have been using android since the days of doughnut, eclair, froyo, gingerbread, icecream sandwich as android os. nothing beats kitkat in smoothness and app stability. Try your mind to focus on new builds instead of old ones bro

why to use jb when u have mm ?? n jb is not safe regarding security as well!!!
Sir I think this could be a good rom in dualboot with others or as a primary daily driver or (it's my best thought about this rom) as multimedia rom because the MIUI V5 has the best camera and audio performances so there would be the possibility to port camera libs and app from MIUIV5v56 global(latest stable global MIUI V5 build going by what I know) and music libs and apps and also mixer_paths.xml and other audio related files, who agree?!

Q: When can we expect CM 13?
Doesn't CyanogenMod already build nightlies for CM13? You need to flash the Cyanogen Recovery first before installing CyanogenMod as far as I know. I don't know whether anyone has built the recovery yet for the Swift.
(If you mean the stock Cyanogen OS, it will be a while before COS updates to Marshmallow.)

If you mean CyanogenOS, the one that comes with the phone, then WileyFox has said:

LineageOS FAQ
Why did Cyanogenmod end?
This statement from the CyanogenMod team explains where the company is headed from here. As far as why they has to discontinue Cyanogenmod:
The company is downsizing and will focus on a new project (the “Cyanogen Modular OS” program), and they are merely cutting off services that they believe they can no longer maintain. As a part of their consolidation, the company announced that many of their employees, including Cyanogen (Steve Kondik) himself, would part ways with the company.

What about nightlies?
As of 12.13.16 all cyanogen nightlies will no longer be supported.
As part of the ongoing consolidation of Cyanogen, all services and Cyanogen-supported nightly builds will be discontinued no later than 12/31/16. The open source project and source code will remain available for anyone who wants to build CyanogenMod personally.

What is LineageOS?
LineageOS is the successor to the popular CyanogenMod ROM. With an emphasis on openness, community development, and improvement of the stock Android experience, CyanogenMod supported dozens of devices officially with nightly updates, and unofficially, by the efforts of developers in the community, dozens more devices. LineageOS intends to pick up where CyanogenMod left off, but with a redoubled focus on being a grassroots community-focused development effort.
Where can I find LineageOS Builds?
We have not started doing official builds yet. One of the benefits of this being an open source project is that anyone can build it, but please be careful flashing builds you’ve downloaded from other sources. We will have some more information on when weeklies (or possibly nightlies) will be starting soon.
Click to collapse
When builds of LineageOS start to show up, you can expect them to pick up right where Cyanogenmod left off and be nearly identical to the latest CM builds.
How can I participate?
LineageOS is looking for people to build slaves and build mirrors. If you have hosting resources that meet these requirements, then you can contact them here.
I will be updating this FAQ as more information comes out about LineageOS.
I loved cyanogenmod, i hope lineageOS keeps up cheers ! waiting for a build for Oneplus 3

CAF ROMs have nothing to do with Cyanogen Inc. Anyone can build their own ROM using CAF (Code Aurora Forum) which is led by Qualcomm.

Well :good:
there are so many unofficial lineageOS and cm, so which UNOFFICIAL lineageOS can we use among them as official rom?
i'm disappointed because the redmi 2 and the redmi 1 have roms before de mi3 i mean.... come on..
also still the same ui as cm14 the only new is the logo. well like shibba quote me in the lineage page.
I understand this disappointment which is because of too much of expectation from LineageOS. You need to understand that hundreds and thousands of developers are working on LineageOS to make it up and running even compromising their Christmas and New year celebration for this year just to make all of us happy.
Rebranding CyanogenMod to LineageOS is important. At this point of time it is necessary to make the infrastructure stable and hence most of them will be concentrating on that part while other individual developers contributing to the device tree they support which is eventually slowing the overall development process of LineageOS as a whole.
For now yes it will be no different to CyanogenMod but eventually you will get new features added to it. I hope you understand the complete picture.

You have to read more I guess.
CyanogenMod 13 Official = Android 6 rom supported by cyanogenmod (Lineage now) and receiving nightly via ota, directly from them.
LineageOS 14.1 Unofficial= Android 7.1.1. supporting by developers here in XDA merget by the code same as official versions.
Theres two different versions of android. It's unofficial when its not realised by lineageOS team.Anyway a lot of devs here making unofficial builds which are very stable as daily drive. When come official builds again u will be able to recive them over OTA.

Better battery life and preformance. Yeah, well Facebook is little bit buggy but I guess need time to be optimized for Android 7.
