somewhere I see CMOS sensor like official Sony site and somewhere I see BSI sensor like here

Like the other guy said...its just a smartphone. Its not a dslr. The camera on the arc takes excellent images, learn how to control it out of auto for absolute best results.
What do you think about bsi sensor?
Which one is better Bsi or Exmor?
Hello guys need a little help
in Xolo q1010i, Micromax Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi Note [Dual Sim] which has better camera ??
Xolo Q1010i has 8MP Rear with Sony Exmor R Sensor with 5-element lens
Micromax Yu Yureka has 13 MP Rear Sony IMX135 Exmor RS Sensor with 5-element lens
Xiaomi Redmi Note has 13 MP Rear Q13S01B Sunny N1404 CMOS BSI Sensor without 5-element lens & comes with wide 28mm angle.
I understand the 5P lens produces better and finer picture quality and I noticed Sony's Exmor R Sensor works better at low light than Sony Exmor RS Sensor [given the fact that Exmor RS is a newer sensor compared to Exmor R].
It seems like even Redmi Note has a good camera with wider angle but probably is not upto the mark under low light condition compared to Exmor Sensors ??
Which phone has a better camera for taking pics among these 3 models ?
camera experts help
don't know about Redmi and Yureka but Q1010i clicks nice pics at night...not impressive just nice..
no replies ? seems like it is difficult to decide util one uses all three models.
is there any specific website which would help with judging camera quality escpecially ?
try gsmarena they sometimes have pics clicked from the camera.
Go for q1010i
You will not disappointed for choosing this device...
It has Impressive camera...
Hi all,
I read everywhere that the phablet has a 12 MP primary sensor with f/2.2 lens and a secondary 5 MP with f/2.0 aperture for background blurring.
But what brand and model is it?
Could it be compatible to the pixel camera software as is that of the note 4?
thanks.
12MP Camera from Sony sensor
5MP camera from Samsung sensor
20MP front camera from Sony sensor
sensors dont that much when it comes to image quality in phone cameras. Its the software optimization that is more important. You could make the note 5 pro camera much better if say google developed the camera software for it like the pixel. Just the spec or sensor vendor does not indicate image quality,

I agree. in fact I was looking for information about the camera model to do targeted searches such as "camera model + pixel camera".
since someone has succeeded in modifying the camera driver of the note 4, I hope they succeed even for the 5 camera
EDIT: however, it would seem that the pixel camera driver are more related to the type of CPU rather than to the camera.

to be precise they would seem:
rear: Sony IMX486 - 12 mpx - f/2.2 - pixel 1.25 µm + Samsung – 5 mpx – f/2.0 – pixel 1.12 µm
front: Sony IMX376 – 20 mpx – f/2.2
thanks

I have to ask. We know the S10 used the same sensor as the S9 and Samsung betted (unwisely IMO) on their computational photography skills.
Has anybody read anything confirming that there is actually a new main sensor in the S20/S20+ ?
Gsmarena shows a 1/1.76" sensor compared to the 1/2.55" for the s10, and it has a single aperture compared to the dual one. So ya it looks like a new sensor, much bigger too.
