How to install Clock Work Mod on a100 with unlocked boot loader !

DISCLAIMER
Thank you to all the DEV'S who have made this possible BIG UPS TO YOU
This worked for me, and in theory if my instructions are followed carefully it will work for you.
However if your results are not the same I am in no way responsible for any dammage done to your tablet!
THE GOOD STUFF
This was tested on Acer A100 on the latest ICS LEAK found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510706
Also my PC is running windows 7 x64
(Follow install instructions carefully)
First install the latest ICS leak http://vache-android.com/v1/index.ph...files&file=148
Once complete do a factory data reset on your device from the settings/backup and restore menu on the tablet
When that is complete, Root your Device using the method found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531646
( again Follow instructions Carefully )
BE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOUR DEVICE IS ROOTED BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER!!
Unlock your BOOTLOADER using the method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557445
(Really be careful here!)
This is where it gets tricky download http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=369 for your OS and extract recovery_thor17_403.img to the root of your platform-tools folder for instance mine is C:\android-sdk\platform-tools
Once completed on your PC open a command prompt as an administrator and navigate to your platform-tools folder from cmd prompt e.g. cd c:\android-sdk\platform-tools and hit enter
next type the following commands:
adb reboot bootloader
once in bootloader mode type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_thor17_403.img
and hit enter you will see it flash to your device within a couple of seconds.
once complete with the tablet in upright landscape mode ( home button on the right hand side ) power the device down and power it back on while holding the leftmost volume button firmly when it vibrates you may release the power button.
continue to hold the volume button until you see Booting recovery kernel image on the screen.
if all went well you now have cwm on your device
now for rom manager!
boot back into android OS and navigate to the google market, search for rom manager in the upper search pane.
download the app and install
open the app and press ok
next press flask clockworkmod recovery
next confirm your phone model
a popup will say your device is not officially supported press yes
next confirm version 3.x+
and you should be good to go

hello masterpcker...Did you install anything else first? Were you just using the standard a100 root? Also, did you unlock your bootloader beforehand? thanks so much friend

Yes I unlocked my boot loader first, and my device was rooted so all I did was run the .bat file from the above website and choose option 3 install recovery only. I am about to try a modded a500 from and see what it does.

For some reason I followed the directions to install CWM and it doesn't work.
When I try to boot to recovery all I see is the android mascot on it's back with a warning sign. If I press the home button it brings up the Android System Recovery, which I believe is the stock recovery. I'm not even sure how to select the items. I can only highlight the menu items using the volume keys.
It doesn't look like the cwm that I have flashed on my atrix.
Any ideas?

Btw, I did unlock my bootloader

Well the a500 modded rom was a bust, it just booted to a really colorful screen lol. But my Android backup worked great for reinstall

I did, nothing still. I'm going to have to look at the batch file and manually input in the commands. Maybe that will do a difference

@masterpker2...are you running linux? i am running windows 7 here and i am getting a [cant install recovery.img] from the a200 batch.....did you have any problems with this to begin with? thanks

I had to dd it to the correct partition and then I was able to get in, but I don't recommend doing it that way!

What's the syntax did you use to dd to the device?
I found this dd syntax in the other thread. That the same one you used?

Can't we just go into fastboot and use fastboot flash recovery recovery.img?

If you're running linux or just want to use adb it's way more simple than it looks.
Code:
Adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
And if you brick your device by accidently installing the wrong boot.img
find your respected rom .zip file that you are currently using and use this.

I can confirm that I have already flashed the recovery.img via fastboot, however cwm still fails on my particular tab. I did a full factory reset and flashed the entire new ics through recovery with the exact same results. I will be investigating the cause of some tabs doing this later tonight when I get home from work. If someone figures this out please post. I have gotten the recovery.img to flash via the a200cwm, however android exclamation upon recovery attempt. i have tried all three paths with no success. I am almost certain that it is a problem with the rooting method, but i won't have time to have a look until tonight. thanks and goodluck! I think the problem could be because of installing different rooting methods in the past, however I have yet to find a way to solve it.

Finally I have compiled a CWM RECOVERY 5.0.2.8 for Micromax A56
FIRST AND FOREMOST THING : I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICKS
The recovery is easy to flash too as there is a FLASHER by me also .
Make sure you have installed all drivers for your phone and USB DEBUGGING is enabled
Steps to flash the CWM Recovery :-
1. Download the zip from here
2. Extract the zip in a folder.
3. Run CWM Recovery.bat and follow the simple steps :good:
4. Use the key combination to enter recovery
Known Bugs :
No UI. Means black screen still everything working.
What's working?
Everything as reported by the beta tester.

So Here are the setps bro

Please i have downloaded it from somewhere I have forgot that please b Kind to tell me i will post him the credit
2. Open it and Extract it somewhere So that you can easily find it .. Itz for noob
3. You will see USBDeview application click on it Please make sure To run it as Administrative .
4. You will see various driver packages (Dont Mess with any other drivers ) Delete or Right-click on All android and micromax A56 stuffs and uninstall it
5.Restart Your PC.
6.Now if you have Android SDK installed u will have a folder named (.android) in C/Users/Username/.android

8.Connect your phone to PC using Data-Cable and click on USB Debugging mode ..
9. U will get an extra CD-ROM drive in your External Device in MY-Computer click it and autorun it all the required drivers will gets installed Wait till process finishes.
10. Disconnect your phone and after that connect it ,
11. U will get your phone detected in adb devices. :good::good::good:

Iam new to this, I tried the above methods it detected my mobile in ADB.Ichecked with cmd. But my mobile is not detected in fast boot mode... please help me out wen i opened cmd and i typed "fastboot devices" it didnt show my device... so kindly help me out....

Haha... dude.. this is the exact same phone. Specs are not higher u see. Check detailed specs u can see "Installed RAM size: 256 MB". 1Ghz processor is not an issue bcoz processor model is the same MSM7225A. It may be just overclocked in this one. Good find bro

Make sure u use these steps to enable fastboot mode on your phone. It is critical that u follow it word by word.
1. Turn OFF your phone. Do not connect USB now
2. Press the power button once, you will get the vibration feedback.
3. Once you feel the vibration, immediately let go of the power button and press the volume down button.
4. Keep pressing for 10 seconds, you will see that the screen gets stuck at the Superfone logo.
Congrats, now your phone will be in fastboot mode!!
5. Connect USB cable, wait for a few seconds.
6. type "fastboot devices". It will show the name of the phone, usually something like "COOLPADA7019 fastboot"

I have tried multiple times to root my Redmi 1S and have failed. I keep getting, "Install update.zip failed". The screens shows 99% and then the error message pops up. I ame on Miui Covery 2.0.1 and Miui 7.2.1.0. I am trying to install TWRP on the phone and switch over to CM11 or CM12. Any ideas on how I can resolve this error and root my phone?

I installed cm13 and SD card as adapted storage .How to flash a new ROM using twrp because it's not showing SD card.

There won't be any sdcard bro!! You have formatted the sd card as adaptive storage i.e., your sdcard is now a part of android system. So twrp will not show your sdcard anymore.

Bro leave that stock method its just not happening try to flash recovery through fastboot mode u will need a pc but its safe and works 100% follow the steps carefully
1)Download latest TWRP Recovery from official site and keep it on ur desktop
2)Download Minimal ADB and Fastboot if u havent and install it in ur pc in the C: drive
3)Place the downloaded twrp 3....img to the folder u just installed ADB Fastboot
4)Rename the twrp 3.0....img to recovery.img
5)Boot phone to fastboot mode by swithing off the mob and the pressing vol down + powet button simultaneously the phone wld boot to fastboot and u wld see a dead boy Fastboot writtn below him
4)Connect Phone to PC and make sure u have installed the drivers of 1S
6)Opem Adb fastboot by going to the dir u installed it and opening MAF.exe
Type the following commands one by one
1) fastboot devices
If ur device is listed u may proceed or else check for correct drivers
2) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It wld start flashing and it wld be done in just 2 secs
3) after this all is done open phone back and remove battery remove usb cable and the again insert battery and press vol up+ power button simultaneously and the phone wld boot to twrp the it wld ask allow modifications then swipe it to completely wipe stock rec out.

Follow this...
Extract "X507_Stock_Rom.rar" and install MTK_USB_Windows_Driver drivers inside rar file
1. Goto "SP_Flash_Tool" folder and open "flash_tool.exe"

Go to fastboot .connect pc
Enter fastboot -w
it will wipe everything thing including data
Reboot to fastboot again
Connect pc
Enter fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (download any recovery)
Reboot to recovery ..flash any os zip
Use volume down+power for fastboot
Use volume up+power for recovery

Hold left shift+ right click mouse u will get open command here it will open command window
Disconnect pc and mobile.
Switchoff mobile
Hold volume down +power u will enter fastboot mode
Connect pc now ... Pc will download drivers and install

Now open command prompt .. type
fastboot devices
U will get ur mobile there
Type
Fastboot oem unlock
It will unlock ur device ..
Then type
Fastboot -w
It will wipe everything
Download twrp.img from forum and rename it as recovery

Place it in the same folder of fastboot
Type
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It will show writing done or okay
Now hold volume up+power this will lead u to recovery
Download any rom and flash it

My display is not working, it won't respond to touch. I successfully flashed the ROM twice but the problem is still there.please help.
PS- I recently changed my screen while I was on a custom ROM. Does thatchange anything?

How To Flash
Follow this...
Extract "X507_Stock_Rom.rar" and install MTK_USB_Windows_Driver drivers inside rar file
1. Goto "SP_Flash_Tool" folder and open "flash_tool.exe"
2. Select "Download-Agent" as "MTK_AllInOne_DA"
3. Select "Scatter file" from "X507_Stock_Rom" folder
now all files will be selected.
4. Change "Download Only" to " Firmware Upgrade"
5. Now Very Imp Step Press together Cntl+Alt+S
This will Enable "Security Mode" and "Authentication File"
option will be Visible below "Scatter file" option.
6. Now Click on "Auth File" Option and Select "auth_sv5.auth"
file From SP_Flash_Tool" Folder
7. Hit "Download" Button.
8. Press volume up key and

Can Anyone tell me why there is no update coming or when i try to install the update from the recovery of local update it says Failed to update -- cause : error with signature help me i want to update eui 5.5 to 5.8 pls

How to Section​ How to Install Driver
1. Click on Driver.
2. Now Click on ADB & mfastboot Drivers.
3. Now just click Next> Next> button.
4. Do not change Installation directory.
5. After installations please make sure mfastboot.exe, fastboot, adb etc Files are present in installation directory.
6. Done.
Note: Above section is very very important without it this tool will not work.
How to Phone Info
1. Please ensure you have installed ADB & mfastboot Drivers from Driver page.
2. Enable USB debugging option under settings of your Mobile.
3. If there is any Message appears on mobile screen which require authentication to connect PC then click on remember option and Press Ok.
4. Now Click on ADB Devices button. It will show connected device and its serial No.
5. Now click on Get Phone Info to get Information Regarding Phone you currently connected with.
6. Done!
How to Flash STOCK ROM (fastboot flashable) and recover from bricked moto device.
1. Click on Flasher.
2. If you are not in fastboot mode then click on AUTO Button under Reboot into Bootloader Group Box. If you are in mobile bricked stage then manually boot into bootloader.
3. Click on browse button. It will open a dialog to select STOCK fastboot Flashable ROM
4. Go to the path where your STOCK ROM is placed.
5. On selecting STOCK ROM Directory it will show its path under STOCK ROM Path Group Box.
6. If all the basic files are present in the directory then Flash button is enabled otherwise it will give error and show missing files and Disable Flash Button.
7. Select whether you want to lock bootloader or Un-lock bootloader (if bootloader is previously unlocked it will not lock it).
8. Click on Flash button.
9. See Log window.
10. When progress bar reaches to 100% it will show Flashing Done!
11. Your phone will now reboot automatically.
12. Flashing Done!
Note: First boot take 5-10 min. So don’t worry.
How to Flash Stock/Custom Recovery
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Under Flash recovery Group box click on Browse button.
3. Select your Recovery (twrp, cwm, Stock etc) from opened dialog box.
4. It will show your selected file path in Path line.
5. Click on Flash.
6. Done!
How to Flash custom ROM or Zip using Sideload
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Under side Load Group box click on Browse button.
3. Select your custom ROM or any fastboot flashable Zip file from opened dialog box.
4. It will show your selected file path in Path line.
5. Click side load.
6. Done!
How to Root any MOTO Device
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Under Root Group box click on Browse button.
3. Select supersu.zip path from opened dialog box.
4. It will show your selected file path in Path line.
5. Click on Root.
6. Your Phone will reboot into custom recovery which you flashed previously.
7. Under custom recovery click on INSTALL > SDCARD (Internal) > select superuser.zip which you selected in 3rd step.
8. Rooting Done!
NOTE: You have to flash custom recovery first in order to Root.
How to Lock Bootloader
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Under Lock/Unlock Boot-loader Group box.
3. Click on Lock Button.
4. Done!
NOTE: There is no need of bootloader unlock key while locking bootloader.
How to Unlock Bootloader
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Under Lock/Unlock Boot-loader Group box.
3. Enter 20 digit bootloader key.
4. Click on Un-Lock.
5. Done!
How to get Unlock Bootloader Key
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Click on get Moto Key button.
3. It will restart your phone into fastboot and wait for device to respond.
4. A message box will open Read it carefully.
5. Click on show info and copy that string.
6. Now Click on OK to go to MOTO website.
7. Login to the website and paste previously copied string where motorola website say.
8. And click on can I unlock my bootloader?.
9. If yes then you will get Bootloader key in your Email inbox.
10. Now paste above 20 digit bootloader key into Under Lock/Unlock Boot-loader Group box.
11. Click on unlock bootloader button.
12. Done!
NOTE: Please note that all the MOTO Models do not support unlocking bootloader like phones under AT &T and other contract phone. This tool is not created by Rajnikant or Superman. Hence this tool can only automate the adb commands that are used to get bootloader string and unlock bootloader. This tool will not do any kind of magic to unlock your contract Moto device.
How to Remove Bootloader Warning Message
1. Click on Root/ Recovery.
2. Under Flash Logo Group box click on Browse button.
3. Select logo.bin file downloaded from your mobile XDA form.
4. It will show your selected file path in Path line.
5. Click on Flash.
6. Done!
You Have to Download each and every File from your respective XDA Form​

Yes, it open but in the install folder is no mfastboot, only fastboot and a file called maf32.exe

Can you plz tell me exact folder location of install folder and plz do confirm that you have not changed it during installation

I delete folder to test a new install, all fine and mfastboot was there... dont know why by first install i dont saw it.. tomates on eyes ?

Get my phone for 1 hour and at this moment, no SIM card. Must tick ADB devices before phone infos are read, and not forget ADB allow on phone

Tried it and it can't get phone info (something about the being unauthorized). i'm trying to find a working flashable ROM for my XT1626 model

Tried removing and installing all from scratch. No success. Says phone unauthorized. No info pops on phone screen to authorize it
