So i have been wasting 3 days trying to install clash of clans on kindle fire 1st generation by installing an android 4.4 or above rom. However my main problem is installing that wretched twrp. It never wants to easily install. I tried this video(sorry just joined cant post links its S.d shadows twrp and fff boot video) and this link(ill post a screen shot) to install cm12 or 11, but they keep talking about using fastboot to install twrp(i dont have fastboot cable so i had to use alternative methods). However when i follow the videos instructions i can never even push the fbmode and on the link i always get waiting on device. Please help i just want to play clash of clans with my friends.

I liked this. Any chance you'll be doing a 6.2.2 version?
Sure, the pack will be updated to reflect new Kindle Fire Firmware
download link
The link is dead...just keeps loading for me, on Pc and kindle.
Im doing reupload, looks like multiupload deleted it :/
+1 for 6.2.2 please.
Thanks

Thanks mate
I got fed up of no flash support on ICS rom so i flashed my backup of original rom and installed this, its really slick and smooth, thanks.
So when can we expect the 6.2.2 update?
Sent from my phone.
I will try to release it tomorrrow or at monday, currently im moving my websites to new datacenter and it takes a time after that im all yours ;D
No rush. Thanks.

I have experience with other Android devices, but this is my first time with a Kindle and I'm having a problem.
I installed TWRP recovery using the Kindle Fire Utility and after doing a Cache and Dalvik wipe I tried to install STOCKPLUS_TunePack_vol_1_BLAZE_6.2.1_user_3103920_ 1326318900.zip. The problem is that after the reboot the Kindle is freezed at the kindle fire logo.
It's a 6.2.2 Kindle and this TunePack is for 6.2.1 so that might be the problem. But how can I unblock the device now?
I still can turn it off/on and run TWRP, so I tried a Factory Reset, but it still stays at kindle fire after that.
Any hints? Thanks in advance!
This does not work on 6.2.2 yet. Have to reflash to stock.

Hi everybody.
First of all, i must be honest and tell you all that a lot of time is passed since the last time i've flashed a ROM on my kindle. I need to say this because probably the cause of my problem is something i'm not able to consider.
Anyway, like the title say, everytime i flash a 4.4.2 based ROM, after the flash, my kindle get stucked on logo. Don't worry, thanks to the unbrick tool i'm able to restore it, but that's not the point.
Does anybody knows where's the problem? I precise that i've got the latest twrp version and that i've tried these two rom:

A little more info would be great......
What version of fff are you using??
What version of TWRP recovery are you using??
Posting a logcat would be helpful also...
Let me know if you have any questions... Thx as always lj
The twrp version is the latest, which means the 2.6.3.1. It cames to me in automatic with the kindle fire utility tool.
For what regards the firefirefire's version, sorry man but i'm not able to help you. I think it's the latest also in this case because i've selected "install the latest version of firefirefire" in the kindle fire utility tool, but i don't know where i can check it.
For what concerns the logcat on booting i don't know how to do it because if i flash one of these ROM adb does not recognize the device.

You are having trouble downloading or installing? If you're having trouble downloading, just try on a different computer.
If you're having trouble installing, you'll have to say more before anyone can help you.

I tried to install a zip .I hit install and says error flashing zip.
Any kitkat rom requires twrp 2.6.3.1. Either upgrade twrp or just flash jellybean.
Is this ^^^ the problem? If so, download the newest TWRP, move it to the same folder as the other TWRP is in, in the kfu folder, rename it to recovery.zip or whatever TWRP ifs originally named, then remove the old one.
Launch kfu, and choose to install recovery. If that doesn't work, post back. Cheers, and good luck!

really need to know which rom was flashed, file name is good.
gapps must match rom.
if it was cm 11, recovery must be updated first.

1: you need TWRP 2.6.3.1 w/ SElinux support as stated before.
when you boot to recovery it will have version on top line, should be v2.6.3.1
2. Did you verify md5 check sum for rom, it's posted on roms download page for a reason
see Verify that your downloads are complete with MD5/SHA-1 Hash Checksums
3. KitKat Gapps are posted offical rom thread [ROM/KERNEL] OFFICIAL CM11.0 + 3.0.72 Kernel for Kindle Fire [NIGHTLIES]
and my page sd_shadow's [Collection] of Gapps:
use gapps-kk-20131119.zip

Thanks for all the help. I finally officially rooted and installed my first rom .:good:
i proof these one, its really smooth
So, recently I tried to use this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/development/stock-rom-ul-z00a-ww-2-20-40-168-t3354526
after revert back from CM13 custom ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen.../rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-nightly-builds-t3264492
But the result is my phone stuck in Asus logo.
Tried to access recovery by pressing power button + volume up but cannot go into recovery.
Tried to connect phone to PC via USB cable but the phone is not detected (cannot try fastboot from PC).
Here is what I did before my phone bricked:
1. Reboot into recovery (I'm using TWRP)
2. Wipe everything except MicroSD
3. Install SuperSU (downloaded from the thread)
4. Install ROM v168 (downloaded from the thread)
5. Reboot system
After that my phone stuck in Asus logo.
Tried to search solution from many sources still no luck. Already posted in the thread but still no answer from anyone.
Please help because I don't have backup phone :crying:
Thanks.
Did you really flash supersu before you flashed the Rom? That's probably the cause. Have you tried any of the bootloop solutions posted here yet?

I've followed the steps provided in the thread so I assumed that superSU was flashed already.
How to verify if it's flashed or not? Can I verify before moving on to the next step?
My phone is resurrected now thanks to steps provided by summit.
