Hi everyone who owns Sony Smartwatch 2 like me.
My sw2 bricked after i updated using PCC. Because of there is no sw2 option on the accessory devices update, i chose MN2 to update my sw2 instead.
After updating my smartwatch, my sw2 turned off and when i turn it on, there is only a bit second of vibrate and a backlight and nothing else happen after that.
I hope someone knows a way to bring my sw2 to life as because i don't have the warranty anymore and i don't have enough money for repair. :crying:
I already tried the ff:
1. Update using PCC and chose MN2 option again.
2. Update using PCC and chose SW3.
3. Installed sw2 application and connect sw2 via NFC or BT but nothing happened.

Bricked after Update of New firmware for the Smartwatch 2 to version 1.0.B.3.46/1.0.A.3.8
Hello,
Today Morning my watch updated on it's own I presume to New firmware version (1.0.B.3.46/1.0.A.3.8. ( flashing and the wavy display) after update it felt quite sliugissh so I decided to update using the utility .
The utility indicated new update available but when I tried to update it said failed . After that the watch refuses to turn on .
I have tried following
1. USe the 15-20 sec reset using power button - NO use
2. Tried to update again using the Sony Update utility ( The watch is recognized - it tries to update and then quickly says failed)
3. Charged it for almost 3 hours and tried again - Same result .
Now going by the other messages I have to try following
1. Charge overnight and try again
2. Leave it without power for few days and try again.
Does anybody know some other trick.
I cannot easily return it to Sony as at the moment travelling in Africa

What kind of charger you use? Try to turn on with wallcharger in it!

It could be that the power button is somewhat stuck, try and push in the face of the watch, that happened to me some days ago, watch turned off itself and I couldn't turn it back on.
So I remembered someone saying that they had the power button stuck and shortly after the watch became loose; mine seemed fine but (not sure if it was that) I pushed a little on the face as to fit it better and there you go, it powered on again.
It's a long shot, but hey, doesn't hurt to try...

I cannot reinstall the software because it fails every time.
Is there a way to hard reset or return to the previous firmware?

Till now Not found a solution or alternatives ways
@ BLK900 ->> BTW I have tried on three different machines with Firewalls off /AV switched of to rule out any outside interference .
@ fastest83 ->> The power button is working fine as after pressing it it detects the watch in update service .
I think something is botched up in sony update service .
I found a thread on http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Wireless-accessories/bd-p/accessories/page/2 - where one user had excatly same problem after running update on SBH52 ( bluetooth headset launched at the same time). He allowed the battery to fully run down before running the update . I am going to try that
Anybody has a idea when the battery will run out in off state ( while running mine used to last 2-3 days)
Sony must fix the update service or provide us a manul way to flash older firmware . so far my emails to service have not yeilded any results . getting the same boilerplate message run the update service or return it back for repair .

As for the battery, I'd expect at least 2 weeks while off, maybe even more...
I would try to run the update service several times (if it recognise the watch, that means the watch is somewhat on) to see if the battery runs out faster...

Mine after showing that error code, it vibrates 3 times... All I did is charge it until the pairing animation shows up then I paired it manually via Bluetooth - it paired and it booted twice and that's it.

when the sony battery is 100% my sw2 didn't reboot in pairing animation. and if i press the power button, it vibrates 3 time and i can't pairing the phone. it said i can't piar because the pin or the passwork are wrong. but i didn't put any password or pin.
Can someone help me?

Try the pairing with another smartphone, then when paired use the icon Settings on the SW2 to reset it, and then try the pairing again with your smartphone.

My smartwatch 2 stopped responding the 2nd day I bought it. It was showing the Sony logo and that was all. Tried updating with SUS, went ok and when restarted phone it shows logo and. 3 25 11 code. The phone is detected in SUS but update atempt fails. Tried charging, it appears that is charging but the percentage doesn't rise until restart. I think is dead.

i cant turn it on at all and i did connect with the wallcharger all the night.

I had the same issue. Called Sony and went through some troubleshooting before they decided it needed to be returned. The support people do not seem to have any idea why this is happening.
Not a great experience with their support people. They promised an RMA and then "forgot" to issue it. It took three calls, but the watch has finally been sent to them. I'm awaiting the refurb now.
update: Got a call from Sony. During the conversation, they mentioned that they do not send out refurbs and that the replacement watch I will receive should be brand new.
update 02/29/14: Received the replacement watch today. Pretty fast turnaround. Now I just hope this one doesn't brick, too.
I had same problem, got this watch on Christmas and after update sth gone wrong and only Flash FS message on screen. Tried everything and no luck. Finally contact Sony and send to SBE (in UK that company services most of mobile phones as manufacture service) and got replacement watch after only... 3 weeks

Talked to service, they told me that they have 2 SW2's and there is no way to repair them if bricked. So i'm waiting for the replacement watch.

Hi guys , i have an xperia zl and a week ago i updated it from android 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 i was using my phone as a hotspot in the past 4 months and always connecting my phone to the charger.
4 days ago i opened a game and the phone suddenly turned off , i turned it on and left it and 2 days ago i opened the same game and it turned off again so i decided to delete the game but yesterday the phone kept turning off every time i use it and when i try to turn it on it won't start unless i plug in the charger.
i tried to flash a new firmware using flashtool but it stuck on flashing data(see the attachment bellow )
i tried another computer but the same problem and SUS says that i have the latest firmware.
so i took it to a repair center (there is no Sony service center where i live) and the man said " it needs a new software but Sony's website is off right now and i have to wait 2 days until the website backs to work " :crying:
so what do i have to day ? how do i flash new software ?

I bought my SW2 at amazon.com in US, but my house actually is in Brazil. So, forget the warranty.
I have tried to update my SW2 in PC F#@%$ Companion days ago and now I have a paper weight now. Why? Because my SW2 just die after the update. It seems to be in DFU mode forever. the USB recognize when I active the DFU command. So far, so good. But when I try (10.001 times) to update again, It shows the error message that can´t update my SW2.
So, I have been trying to figure out something that help me to bring my SW2 back from the ashes. But I see nothing in the forums, just nices faces and apps
Any help, tip or pray to help me? Can I upload some original firmware (where???)... by dfu-util or something?
I would like to know this too. There is no sw2 option in PC companion at all so I have no chance to fix mine after advice from Sony support bricked it.
Is there a way to reflash or reupgrade the sw2? Because SONY PC Companion does not support sw2. Also, Sony Update Service is no longer supported by SONY. I don't have any idea now on how to repair my sw2 as I only bought it on gray market. I mean there is no warranty covered.
Btw, my sw2 still works but there is no display or not showing anything on the screen. I'm sure that its still working because I can install apps and it vibrates when someone text me. Its still turning on and off and connects on my phones. I doubt that the screen is defective but when i connect the sw2 to another phones, sw2 outputs a progress bar and when its near to 100%, the progress bar fades and no more outputs on the screen after the progress bar.
Sorry for my bad english. I hope someone can help us about this issues.

Have you tried holding the power button for 15+ seconds? This should hard reset the watch and it should prompt you to pair it again with your phone. This should also update the firmware of the watch, if yours is outdated.

Yes I already tried it, but the same things happen after pairing to another phones. If I can only reflash it like SUS can do, but its already ended and PC Companion does not support SW2. :crying:
Hi, I'm having trouble connecting my watch to my phone. It's previously worked fine, but it disconnected sometime last week and wouldn't connect again through the Android Wear app.
I've unpaired the watch from the phone, and removed the watch from Android Wear and then uninstalled Android Wear. I've reset my watch at least twice in a row and tried to set it up again.
I always get as far as Android Wear saying Pairing.... and then the watch saying enter this code 'Smartwatch 3' it used to show numbers and letters as the code, but it's always Smartwatch 3 now.
Even if I do a Bluetooth scan from my phone, my watch doesn't show up. I'm beginning to think it's a bluetooth issue on my watch. I'm running the latest update from Sony, and the latest version of Android Wear from the Play Store.
Has anyone else seen this before or can possibly help?

Even with Sony Support's help, they suggested I use the Xperia companion app, but this claimed to have reset my watch but hadn't done anything.
My watch turns on, but goes straight into the Setup process and never shows up in the Android Wear app on my phone.
Last night I tried to sideload LCA43 to my watch using ADB but even that wasn't possible from my windows 10 laptop! I installed ADB drivers, usb drivers and put my watch into both Fastboot and Recovery mode and selected the Update from ADB option and ADB still couldn't see my connected watch.
My watch is now a paperweight which I can't work out a way to get working again. Can anyone help? Is there another reset method I can do other than Factory Wipe in the watch Recovery menu?

After pairing one time the BT search do not found again a wear watch, we must forget and reset watch before.
Otherwise I have also issue with my xPeria Z5C (Android 6.0) and my Sony SW2 (not wear) after a while the pairing between phone and watch is lost and I must "forget" the watch before pairing again seem some bug in BT pairing in Android 6 (and Sony BT watch ?) ?
I purchased a sont smartwatch 3 about a month ago and when I first got it and charged it up, it paired right away to my phone. Over the course of a few weeks I would notice there would be times when it would not connect to my phone. Turning bluetooth off and back on would fix this. I got tired of doing that so I unpaired the watch and deleted all android wear from my phone to start fresh. The watch would not connect. I have now been trying for a few weeks to get it working again. I'll list everything I have tried below ( not in order but as I think of them).Hoping for a new idea on this I haven't found:
- clear play services and play services framework cache
- in adb shell :adb shell am start -a android.bluetooth.adapter.action.REQUEST_ENABLE
- factory reset on watch
- forget all bluetooth devices on phone
- rooted watch and tried 6.0.1 rom
- hold power button till watch restarts 3 times
- locked and unlocked bootloader
- xperia connect software repair
Is there a bluetooth testing method anyone is aware of or a way to check my bluetooth integrity ? Maybe flash a bluetooth module ?

It was dead and had been for a week or so. I connected it to my computer via usb and I turned it on after letting it charge for about 5 mins. On my laptop I decided to check what bluetooth devices my computer could see. My smartwacth shows up in this list. I wish there was a camera on my face, it would've been priceless. I grab my phone and reinstall android wear. It finally shows in the app. I have been trying to fix this for weeks now and it just randomly works now. Maybe this may give something new steps to try for those that run into this issue.

I dont think the fault lies with the watch and phone but more so with Google play services as this is needed to run and connect android wear as far as I know. Try uninstalling play services and reinstalling on the phone. If that doesnt help then try resetting the watch in pc companion. If this doesbt help then im unsure but I could only blame gplay services as all my android wear issues have been with this such as apps like watchmaker deleting itself off the watch after rebooting my phone (xperia Z2 rooted custom rom). I even tried factory resetting both but the issue still persisted so I gave up with it and decided to manually resync apps after every reboot.
You can try resetting your devices but I cant garentee this will solve your issues.

I have this problem occasionally with my LG G4. It works fine then all of a sudden it won't connect to the phone. Shows up in Bluetooth devices, but not in Android wear. Only way I find to sort the problem out is to unpair the watch from the phone which then activates a factory reset. Once done all is good again........well for a few weeks or so.
I let the clock DIE (battery) and then work for 2 weeks, now the same problem.
