hi i am quite new to this i have a LG G3 (D851) Rooted T-mobile USA i have unlimited Data !
i am looking for a way to bypass tmobile 5GB hotspot limit some kind of App,Rom! something ???
i have tried Wifi tether router By Fabio ! but it does not seem to work
i have read about prime tether ROM but i cannot seem how to install it or make it work i have tried & i cannot chang the APN setting to Ip4 !!! the phone will not allow it !
so i am coming to the XDA Community to ask for your HELP ! thanks
First you will need a rooted phone with a custom recovery.
Then use the prime tether mod that corresponds to your sw version, and flash in recovery
After that, you should be able to change the option in apn from ipv6 to ipv4

Google twrp. Then look for the d851 recovery. D851=LG G3 T-Mobile. Then download a app called flashify and from there flash the recovery u get from the twrp website.
Edit: here saved u sometime. http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/d851/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-d851.img
Edit: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
Download that and flash with flashify.
OK I downloaded openrecovery file from the first link I also download flashify but what do I do next! what do you mean by flash the recovery how exactly do I that?

If all you do is root your stock ROM, then no; the only change is that you will have superuser access and have the ability to remove whichever bloat apps you wish. If you flash a different modified stock ROM, then the OP from which you download the ROM should tell you what apps have been removed; although as long as you go with the modified stock ROMs, you will still have S Beam, NFC, etc.

Are you running the original stock rom on your M919 Galaxy S4 phone?
If you are using the original stock rom M919UVUAMDB firmware then follow the instructions below.
Here is how to root your phone
Download Motochopper here: Motochopper
Extract the contents of the motochopper.zip file into a new folder on your windows desktop.
Make sure USB Debugging mode is enabled on your phone.
Connect your phone to your PC computer with the usb cable.
Navigate to the new folder you have made and double click the "run.bat".
Approve the ADB connection from your computer on your phone.
If all goes well and you see no errors this will root your phone and flash superuser.
NOTE: goomanager will not work if you are NOT rooted.
Once you do this successfully the next step is to flash a recovery so go to the google playstore and install the free app called goomanager.
After its installed open the app and click the menu key then select "Install OpenRecoveryScript" and wait until it gets done flashing.
Then in goomanager select the "reboot recovery" option and it should boot into TWRP Touch recovery.
Good luck!
I have a Samsung Note ll sgh-i317 running stock 4.4.2 from AT&T. Can anyone direct me where to find instructions on rooting device?

Run cf auto root again and then go on the play store see if there is an update for supersu if not open the app and it might say something like the binary is outdated then it should give you an option to do it normal or twrp or cwm and do the normal one and it should say pass or something like that then to reboot the phone

They were banned for a while due to IMEI collection and other shady behavior. They seem to have fixed that now (at least Kingo), and while we still don't encourage using them for privacy concerns, they're allowed and you're free do so at your own risk (preferably when absolutely no other alternative exists, if you must).

I'm sure you can, but that would definitely trigger Knox and would void your warranty. You might be able to also flash a ROM using FlashFire which is supposed to be even better and doesn't require a custom recovery. In fact, if you eliminate the boot and kernel elements from whatever rom you're flashing, you could still remain under warranty (not tripping knox).
Thanks, but I really was not to worried about knox, just wanted a way with out apc.

I tried flashify, softbricked, took forever to get it back running as im on a mac, and having to use a VM and what not getting everything set up and the right Odin, right files, stock firmware, took me literally all night to get up and running again, and yet i still cant get twrp working on this damn phone.
Try this:
1. Download twrp recovery and zip it with the installer script. Make sure it's named recovery.img
2. Install flashfire
3. Flash twrp update zip with flashfire
4. Hopefully boot into twrp!
This is how I got TWRP installed.

Does anyone have it backed up
Good question but how does one do that? Initial OE1 root users only?
Easy way is to root OE1 in Odin but leave stock recovery until Flashify is installed in Google Play (root only devices) and backup stock recovery. That could be shared to install with Flashify easily as well.
A harder way may actually require custom kernel? ADB copy the recovery to sdcard. I don't think that's possible with stock recovery and enforcing kernel?
Hopefully one that reads well before rooting OE1 the first time will come across this and help out accordingly. The adventurous trying the incremental OTA to get the 5.1.1 OTA, whenever that is, could make a short root and unroot quick stop along the way to 5.1.1 OTA to help out those stuck on OE1 without stock recovery. That would be helpful if so bold. And if so willing, root/TWRP/backup everything on 5.1.1 and try to Odin another stock to see if Odin is still broke. If you're thinking, "you first", I'm not that adventurous myself but rather patient, waiting for the tar or all clear on Odin. Regards to unfortunate on OE1, especially if they have to wait for a tar.

I think I understand your request. But you need stock recovery and unroot to take the next OTA if not waiting for a tar.
Unroot can be done within SuperSU app.

Per the developer, Flashify backups of kernel and recovery are raw .img files.
He says you should be careful using these with compression formats. I would think the .bin extension got placed there by the process of uploading and storage and downloading. For those downloading, to remove it or rename without knowing how it was uploaded is risky.
To answer the questions that followed your upload, can you share with us the process you used? Did you convert it or just upload the original raw file with no extension? I suspect the latter is true since it appears to have no compression.
If uploaded as raw/no extension, I'd say just remove the .bin extension to flash as raw in Flashify before unrooting. (When trying to return to stock.)
Thanks in advance.
