is there a way to disable / delete the call end sound (beep)?
I looked in /system/media/audio/ui but didn´t find it.

Update notification just popped up for this enhancement update but I need to know if it'll kill my root or re-lock the boot loader before I go ahead and accept it.
Anyway know if its safe and what it actually does?
Thanks.
I have root access and I'm using a Root Browser. I tried renaming /system/customize/resource/“HTC_Sense5_Boot.mp3”, and I successfully rename the file. I reboot the phone, the sounds is still working and when I navigate back to resources, the file name is back to default. I know I can modify the "default.xml" @ /system/customize/resource/CID, but I have a bad experience with the OTA updates. What am I doing wrong with the renaming thing? Is there a different way to disable the boot sound? My phone is a developer edition; S-On Android 4.4.4, unlocked bootloader and rooted.
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, I have few questions about my phone.
The phone is fairly new and still has factory warranty. I wanted to root it but im afraid it will void the warranty. Is there a tutorial on how to 'unroot' the device so they wont find out about the root? Is it worth rooting the phone? I dont want custom ROM, just the root with official system (Lollipop 5.0.2 iirc)
I wanted to record my gameplay, there are many apps that record without root but they cant capture sound. They use microphone instead of the sounds 'in-game' making the sound quality very bad. Anyone know of an app that will record the sound without using microphone?
Also, if i have root can the apps that use GPS enable and disable it on the go? I know that this function was disabled in 4.3 but is there any way to get it working again?

Don't root your S6 Edge, on rooting process, a chip burns on S6 and disable Knox and Samsung Pay for ever, without a way to recover it

I dont use samsung pay anyway but the question is, will i be able to get my warranty back after i root the phone? On S3 I just had to flash back the official firmware (didnt reset flash counter and they still accepted it for repairs). Would disabling knox void the warranty?

Yes, you lost warranty
Before repairing, they check the chip which burns on rooting process, when it is burned, they will not repair your phone without pay money
Hello all,
Recently moved back to Android after a pretty unsuccessful stint with Windows Phone. Anyway, got the G3 (D852) for a steal but was disappointed to find some of the features of stock Android missing (multiple users, expandable notifications) from the stock ROM so wanted to go the AOSP/CM route, but I had some questions I was hoping someone could answer before I go ahead and do that.
1.) As I bought the phone new, it still has a warranty. Would flashing a custom recovery trip a counter like on some Samsung phones or can the phone be restored to full stock without the shop knowing in case I need to take it in?
2.) Are there any major bugs with CM roms? I read that there are some issues with audio recordings and camera quality. Anything else I should be aware of?
3.) Do features such as double tap to wake, the Quick Circle case, and knock code work with CM?
I think that's all for now. Thank you in advance for your help!
1) Theres a root flag checker in the service menu that detects if you have the su or busybox binary present on your device along with superuser.apk but if you download the firmware for the device and you do a full wipe using the flash tool it resets the check
3) Double tap to wake and knock code work properly with CM, Quick Circle can only be used to unlock the device unless you install a xposed module
Whats the feasibility of exchanging your D852 for a D855?
Hey, thanks for the super quick reply. Not likely I can change without paying quite the penalty so I'd prefer to just stick it out. I imagine there's not a whole lot of support for our Canadian model then? Seems strange to have a whole other version of the device just for us. :/
Hello, I have an S20+ I was wondering if anyone knew or had any idea of which firmware I would have to flash with ODIN to get access to Samsungs built in call recorder.
Why not simply root it and then use any of the many available call recording apps available?
