please flash reset kernel 1st..please see original Thread and on OP you can go to Wiki page and check Downloads for the respective reset kernel..you need to flash it first before trying my builds for the reason that the reset kernel has stuff that allows synapse to load properly..Synapse is the only recommended app to play with my kernel..

Quick Guide for easy flashing:
Flash the correct reset kernel for your device/version and reboot
Disable any auto-set-on-boot options from any kernel control apps.
Install Synapse from play store (DO NOT OPEN)
Flash desired kernel for your device and reboot again
Open Synapse and configure away
Enjoy the bacon.

I've offered to help test this kernel on our vzw m7 - and so far it's looking pretty slick... :good: There are new (Sep10) builds available for m7 Sense ROMs (both 4.4.2 and the newer 4.4.3 ones).

FYI, the discussion over on this kernel's main thread has picked up recently and there's an update worth looking at as well.
The Hotplug functions (that I'm just becoming familiar with) are delivering some pretty insane battery savings for me without an appreciable performance hit.

Choose from MPD and HP builds..go hit the main thread or head on to the Github release page for your respective Downloads..as a reminder(always) do flash the reset kernel before flashing my builds to ensure full support for Synapse..

Note that the Xceed kernel for AOSP/CM is still evolving - Hotplug's ability to go into the CPU's deepest sleep state, as well as wake gesture support and l2m features, are still a WIP. Check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/orig-development/kernel-sense-t2854030 .

FYI, an updated AOSP kernel is available. The wake gestures, l2m support and other previously-rough edges have been smoothed out.

Running the newest version on Nusense...thanks very smooth

Actually I'm having a weird issue. Is there anything done on kernel install that can affect battery readings? My battery was not displaying the correct % after install. No mods or anything else that could affect it.
Also, synapse seems to be very hit or miss about working and applying effects. I'm on Nusense Six Art Edition.

I seem to recall @kairi_zeroblade posting something about the battery life extender module messing with readings...

I have removed it on the new version..as it was also giving me the same issues when selecting a lower maximum limit aside from 100%..

Disclaimer
I'm not responsible for any damages on your device.
The focus is to optimize the ROM in many areas and compiled it with custom toolchain Uber for more performance and smoothness.
SlimRoms was choosen as a base because it is a lightweight and not a bloated ROM, but it still has rich features. Combined with some of CM features, I bake a ROM that has more useful features but still lightweight.
The ROM and the kernel are tested by me first before I make it available online. I could have overseen something during testing, please be understanding.
Installation instructions
Coming from stock or another ROM:
Full wipe: system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
Flash the SlimSaber build.
Flash gapps from here
Flash latest SuperSU from here
Coming from previous SlimSaber build:
Flash the SlimSaber build.
No need to wipe dalvik-cache. The system will do it anyway if it needs to.
No need to re-flash gapps. Gapps will be restored back automatically by backup tool during flashing.
Known Issues
"Prevent accidental wake up" display option causes black screen when incoming call comes in
Disable it for the time being, until the bug is fixed

I was thinking about seeing about maybe being official. Considering this ROM is slightly modified the slimlp dev team might not let me. Either way, I think this is a pretty solid ROM. It doesn't have a lot of customizations, but its pretty darn close to aosp code.

almost everything worked ok but Clock, when tried to setup or edit an alarm just crashed, tried twice, clean flashes wiping all except internal & external.

No problem - I've been wanting to find a ROM that supports Bluetooth LE (apart from the stock ROM) so if it works here, that'd be really amazing! I have a bluetooth LE device so I can test it out and see if it does work.

Thanks for releasing this rom @aclegg2011. I've been testing it for a few days now and it's my daily driver. Everything available works. Except rro layers but thats less important. 39c idle temp when I was always running at 50c before and the battery lasted 24hrs of normal usage the first day I installed it.

I'm using open gapps pico. I also have still not gotten voice recognition working but I'm pretty sure other people have.

Everything working perfect with opengapps. I tried slimgapps but had clock fcs.
Feature Request for Contacts app:
- There is not Groups tab on Contacts so cannot make any group operation like send a message to a group.
- Custom Fields, would be very good to be able to add custom fields.
Very good job done with this rom, actually more than a very good job, but to be perfect should have my feature request made real:laugh:

This is great . I just started building kernal by initially adding smartassv2 and some other patches with linaro toolchain ,am new to this and ended up failing to find <dev code>_<...>_devconfig .
Can I know where I can find it in order to run make ..._devconfig ?
And I will test and feedback about your kernal .
Hope to see more patches like not all CPUs online all the time , and governors , i/o schedulers to tuneup some juice regrading performance .

As the ril wasn't working I reverted to back to the old kernal,and I hvnt tested other features .

What is Anykernel?
You can skip this if you don't want to know how it works.
Kernels tend to have a fully built boot image ready, it just flashes everything and it may not PATCH the necassary files. This means you're gonna have to create a different boot image for different roms such S8 Ports, Note FE Ports and AOSP ROMS. Things such as compatibility maybe an issue also because new things may not be supported by old things (Newer RAMDISK on an older ROM).
That's when Anykernel comes into play. It only includes the zImage (actual prebuilt kernel), dtb (the instructions for hardware stuff), and patches used ontop of the stock ramdisk. It takes the previous/stock kernel, replaces dtb and zImage and then continues to patch the ramdisk. Voila, it's done. It makes it easier for the devs to work on the kernel and has better compatibility! It does come with it's disadvantages, It can't be flashed ontop of other custom kernels that have modifications in the ramdisk. The patch and ramdisk will cause some trouble because there interefering with each other alright!

How do I install this?
If you already have AOSP with it's stock kernel.
1) Reboot into recovery and flash it like normal
If you have AOSP with a custom kernel like PRIME, Prophecy or Primal.
1) Go to the AOSP ZIP you installed, extract boot.img from there.
2) Boot into recovery, flash the boot image. Don't forget to switch the option from ZIP to IMG if you can't find it in the directory you extracted it from.
3) Then go back to home screen in recovery, and go flash Excel Kernel
I really don't need to explain this in detail and such because if you got here it mean's you know how to install AOSP ROMS. It's pretty simple.

I'm very interested in using your kernel just wondering about the battery life and thermal issues. Whenever I play games it just heats up like crazy in aosp and battery life suffers coz of inefficiency. Just wondering if you've fixed these issues.

In AOSP, those issues are not gonna dissappear but you should see a notable difference. Theres things like hero-common and such I cant fix.

Omg....Thermal issue has been pretty much fixed 0.0 however using stock settings did cause system shutdown when running geekbench. Needed to under clocked it significantly but it's so early so its amazing. Will use it the next couple of days and test for battery life

a few Misc questions
Hello,
What is typical battery life by default for the Kermit Kernel?
I'm not a gamer so don't do overclocking or highly intense graphics, for me good battery is essential, is there ways I can increase battery longevity?
Does the Kermit Kernel support fast charging by default or must it be enabled?
Does Kermit have support for VoLTE/HD voice and Wifi calling by default or can that be compiled in?
Lastly, does Kermit Kernel have support by default for the doubletap 2 wake feature (originally pioneered by the LG phones, the G2 I believe was first), or can it be compiled in?

It's in haitus

Phone dies for no apparent reason, usually twice a day. It's completely dead. I have to plug it in for the phone to respond and then I can turn it back on. Phone can be on 100% and be doing the easiest of tasks, and it will happen. Any help is appreciated.

[KERNEL] C20 Kernel for Motorola Z3 Play (beckham) [OC]

C20 Kernel​Hi all!
Here is my custom kernel for the beckham, it is based in the LineageOS SDM660 Kernel, with the fixes from @Jleeblanch
The aim of this project is to have a kernel with overclock capabilities in order to get the Snapdragon 636 more closer to the Snapdragon 660. The rest of the kernel will be remain untouched (or for the most part).
Features:
- CPU Overclocked Big clusger up to 2.45 ghz (default frequency set at 2.2 Ghz) Small cluster up to 1.9 ghz
- GPU model faked to Adreno 512, with this now games loads more optimized drivers aimed for the 512.
- For some reason CPU-Z detects the device as a Snapdragon 660 (I wouldn't call this a feature )

Awesome to finally see some recent development for this phone. Are there an bugs with this kernel?

is it possible to download the original kernel version? when I use this kernel the moto fashion doesn't work correctly

Choose your channel (it's listed in settings), and download the zip. Unpack the archive, find the boot.img file, go to fastboot, then flash it to both slots.

Stoked about this. This phone has not gotte much love and just glad its starting to see something! Hoping to get the latest version of Android on this thing sooner or later.

It usually depends on your device, but I managed to get a stable OC at max Frequency. Regarding bugs, the kernel is 95% similar to the one found in LOS, only things that have changed are the frequency table, GPU model, and some minor tweaks.
I have also made Stock rom compatible kernel with OC capabilities. Tell me guys if you want it as well!

Hi! Yes, it can be applied to any LOS 16 and LOS 17 based rom, this applies also to any GSI.

Am I able to use Lineage Recovery, or is TWRP the only way?

It's was apply for me by Lineage recovery. Also Magisk Root to.:good:

It's a AnyKernel 3 script, so it should mantain your current recovery and root.
You can flash it via TWRP or any tool that supports flashing zips

Does this kernel have the TTL patch compiled in?

I flash the Kernel for Stock ROM about 2 weeks ago and it works perfectly so far. I got almost the same result in Geekbench, but as I notice in this Kernel the default Governor is Performance unlike the one for the LinageOS, where the Governor is Interactive. Does it matter?
And GPU is not changed to 512 on Stock Kernel like you said for LinageOS Kernel

In a meantime, LineageOS presents the official 18.1 ROM for Moto Z3 Play based on Android 11. I use it for a while with no issues at all, also update it 2 times through the system update.
I try C20 Kernel on this ROM but have some bugs, the SIM cards don't work, and Moto Gestures also.
So, I want to ask if someone can try to make a new OC kernel for LineageOS 18.1, PLEASE! I am not a developer but I'm willing to try it and test its stability.

I was thinking about it last week, overall performance on Android 9/10 is really fine with OC. Is it possible comes to android R?

can i use it on pixel experience android 11?
