You returned it to stock? Using Odin and a TAR file from Sammobile.com? If not then you may have used a rooted rom, which wouldn't work to well trying to do a ota while rooted. Big no no sir.
If you can get into download mode. You stick firmware is in my one stop shop in my Sig.
Go to the section that has firmwares, find your model. And use Odin to put the phone back to stock.
Good luck.

Ok, i have the rogers SGH i317m, so for the past month my galaxy note 2 has been having quite a few problems;
I would have to take my microsim and battery out for 5 mins a day to get service, but now my phone has just kept rebooting. I have already tried using the phone without the microsim or the microsd, and it will keep rebooting every five minutes. I have flashed different radios, different roms, and now i have unrooted and am on stock rom, it still reboots every 5 minutes. Should I bring my phone back to rogers, is there anything else I can do?
Thanks
Jonathan

how does this solve my problem? i said i have flashed multiple roms rooted and non rooted and it still reboots!
This is not our Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889 and SGH-T889V. So we would not know.
Have you tried to go back to Rogers 4.11 root66_RWC_I317MVLALJ2.7z first? Then go forward to Rogers 4.12 root66_RWC_I317MVLBMA3.7z? Root66 are injected rooted stock roms. Using Odin to install. Everything stock, just with root. Sometimes going backwards then go forwards from that point works. Use PDA in Odin to install.
You have gone into the recovery and clear the cache?
You do have the stock recovery installed?
I317 is ATT version. Have you tried with ATT Galaxy Note 2 forums?

there is no forum for the rogers i317m!!!!!!!
i tried root66_RWC_I317MVLALJ2.7z and it still reboots
i have stock recovery
I saw the modem at this thread. Sometimes having the wrong modem for us here can cause boot looping. In Odin use Phone to flash modem only.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38727956
Within your recovery, clear the cache. Sometimes this can fix the boot looping after flashing a rom.

i cant flash the modem, it fails
I don't know if you also lost your IMEI, but you may want to check out the threads here about the boot looping issues. You might find something there that may help.
so I rooted my galaxy note 2 from Sprint with Odin and it said that it was rooted but the superuser would never work so I did a factory reset to make sure that wasn't the problem and it just got stuck on boot loader on the Samsung icon and it never turns on I tried installing the stock firmware for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Odin and every time I got to S.boot it says fail my phone has been stuck like this for about a week now and I have not found anything to fix it I found a thread saying to install an alternate stock firmware without the s.boot file but it was only for Verizon phones I have not found one for the Sprint any help would be highly appreciated

What file were you using?
Without more info I would suggest using odin and flashing a recovery then flashing mc2 stock with counter reset. Dont remember exactly who made it at this moment but scan through development section and you will find it.

It's failing at sboot because you're trying to downgrade on a secured bootloader. You can't downgrade. You can only use the latest stock firmware.
This is the stock 4.3 image for use in Odin http://www.mediafire.com/download/7viivd985s7cp8l/L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.zip
To get into download mode use vol down, home, power. You'll need Odin 3.07 or 3.09. Put this in the PDA or AP tab. DO NOT MESS WITH ANYTHING ELSE IN ODIN.

I know exactly what you need to do, go download this and flash with odin, then flash a custom recovery and flash MC back to stock unrooted

I am not new to rooting and flashing rom however, I switched from my rooted GS3 running CM11 to the Note 2. I flashed the stock firmware (root66) and made the mistake of running the OTA 4.1.2 update which caused my note to be soft bricked. The phone boots to the samsung logo and freezes there. I flashed several stock firmware using odin that pass but when my phone reboots it freezes at the samsung logo. I can not access recovery mode, only downloading mode. I know its a way to fix this I'm just not sure how. Any suggestions?

Easy peasy, flash philz v5.00.5 (not the latest) through odin then u should be able to access recovery, from recovery flash a custom ROM so u can get unstuck, then when everything is fine, flash a stock rom from sammobile and hopefully it should work.

Hi everyone.I have a note 2 which was rooted since last year and running on 4.1.Since i have upgraded last month to 4.3.The phone become unstable, freezing all the time.So i decided to do the factory reset, after that the phone was staying on the blank screen with the samsung logo and a steady blue light.I tried to flash 3 different firmware but they all failed using odin v3.09.
Any advice
Thanks
1. Diwnload Odin to your pc.
2. Download latest firmware for your country.
3. Flash the stick firmware.
Then you can root later.

Try using a different USB cable and port. Also, use different versions of ODIN and try flashing again.
(If possible, root it, flash Phliz recovery and flash a .pit file from there. This is your last resort.)

I will do whatever it takes to see if my data is still there. Then I need to get my warranty replacement.
I have a completely stock Note II (AT&T SGH-i317) that I believe is at 4.3 Jelly Bean I317UCUBMK6 (or ***MJ4, I don't know the difference). OTA firmware updates have never worked for my phone since I took it out of the box. Samsung/AT&T have no download link to an official 4.3 that I could use with ODIN to reflash[?] my phone.
I have had connector and battery issues for a while and suddenly last week my phone just hung at the AT&T carrier screen when I turned it on. I tried recovery mode>clear the cache and rebooting to no avail. In recovery it had told me it was unable to mount the EFS. I also saw online that there were, in fact, old leaked roms (4.3) from before 4.3 was released. Can I "flash"[?] to one of these from 4.3 not-leaked official? Again, not trying to lose any data...
I also saw this thread and didn't know if it would help:

Thanks and I will seriously buy you a beer or other preferred beverage/donation if you can help.

That's the thing though--I attempted to use ODIN with the stock 4.1.2 ROM and it failed. Then I remembered I had 4.3 installed. I can't find a stock AT&T ROM for 4.3 anywhere!
