Hi everyone.I have a note 2 which was rooted since last year and running on 4.1.Since i have upgraded last month to 4.3.The phone become unstable, freezing all the time.So i decided to do the factory reset, after that the phone was staying on the blank screen with the samsung logo and a steady blue light.I tried to flash 3 different firmware but they all failed using odin v3.09.
Any advice
Thanks
1. Diwnload Odin to your pc.
2. Download latest firmware for your country.
3. Flash the stick firmware.
Then you can root later.

Try using a different USB cable and port. Also, use different versions of ODIN and try flashing again.
(If possible, root it, flash Phliz recovery and flash a .pit file from there. This is your last resort.)

so I rooted my galaxy note 2 from Sprint with Odin and it said that it was rooted but the superuser would never work so I did a factory reset to make sure that wasn't the problem and it just got stuck on boot loader on the Samsung icon and it never turns on I tried installing the stock firmware for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Odin and every time I got to S.boot it says fail my phone has been stuck like this for about a week now and I have not found anything to fix it I found a thread saying to install an alternate stock firmware without the s.boot file but it was only for Verizon phones I have not found one for the Sprint any help would be highly appreciated

What file were you using?
Without more info I would suggest using odin and flashing a recovery then flashing mc2 stock with counter reset. Dont remember exactly who made it at this moment but scan through development section and you will find it.

It's failing at sboot because you're trying to downgrade on a secured bootloader. You can't downgrade. You can only use the latest stock firmware.
This is the stock 4.3 image for use in Odin http://www.mediafire.com/download/7viivd985s7cp8l/L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.zip
To get into download mode use vol down, home, power. You'll need Odin 3.07 or 3.09. Put this in the PDA or AP tab. DO NOT MESS WITH ANYTHING ELSE IN ODIN.

I know exactly what you need to do, go download this and flash with odin, then flash a custom recovery and flash MC back to stock unrooted

I am not new to rooting and flashing rom however, I switched from my rooted GS3 running CM11 to the Note 2. I flashed the stock firmware (root66) and made the mistake of running the OTA 4.1.2 update which caused my note to be soft bricked. The phone boots to the samsung logo and freezes there. I flashed several stock firmware using odin that pass but when my phone reboots it freezes at the samsung logo. I can not access recovery mode, only downloading mode. I know its a way to fix this I'm just not sure how. Any suggestions?

Easy peasy, flash philz v5.00.5 (not the latest) through odin then u should be able to access recovery, from recovery flash a custom ROM so u can get unstuck, then when everything is fine, flash a stock rom from sammobile and hopefully it should work.

I have tried to root my Note 8 (us version) with CF-Auto-Root. My device has never been rooted before and still had the stock 4.1.2 firmware.
I followed the directions exactly listed here from chainfire.
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291839
The flashing with odin went perfectly but when my device rebooted it was stuck on the Samsung splash screen. I could not get into recovery mode at all. Pressing the 3 button combination just made the screen turn black and then to the splash screen again. I tried flashing several times and also tried removing the battery as stated by chainfire. I was able to get into download mode and flash a stock 4.1.2 rom and I was back in business again. I would like to know what might be causing my device to not go into recovery mode and being stuck on the splash screen after flashing with CF-Auto-Root. My firmware version was N5110UEDMD1. I would still like to root my device but how to do it now?
Do I just use a rooted rom and flash it with odin? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Isn't the CF-Auto-Root only for those on the 4.2.2 update? (I don't know for sure, my tab shipped with 4.2.2, I just thought I remembered reading it)

No, it works with 4.1.2
I have CF-Auto-Root working now on my device. I was all my fault as I used the wrong file to flash. I used P5110 instead of using N5110. Every thing is good now and my device is working just fine.
Thanks

You returned it to stock? Using Odin and a TAR file from Sammobile.com? If not then you may have used a rooted rom, which wouldn't work to well trying to do a ota while rooted. Big no no sir.
If you can get into download mode. You stick firmware is in my one stop shop in my Sig.
Go to the section that has firmwares, find your model. And use Odin to put the phone back to stock.
Good luck.
Dear friends
I'm going to describe the steps i took for fixing the WiFi problem of my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100.
The problem started last january, when the device got the latest 4.4.2 update from Samsung. By that time, it was not rooted.
WiFi started to turn off by itself, WiFi slider was grey and wont turn on again, searching for ip adress, etc...
I did everything i could find over the internet and nothing fixed it, after 1 month of search i was about to give up.
1. Flash stock 4.3 ROM from Sammobile using Odin 3.09, in my case the ROM was this:http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/23564/N7100UBUEMK4_N7100ZTOEMK3_ZTO/
I tried this with the lates 4.4.2 ROM without success.
2. Do a data wipe/factory reset from the stock recovery utility.
3. Flash philz_touch_6.48.4-n7100 recovery utility using Odin 3.09. File here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7100/philz_touch_6.48.4-n7100.zip.md5/
4. Root your device by installing SuperSU-v2.40 from philz recovery utility. Get it here: http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip
5. Install NI1 Bootloader using Odin 3.09 with the BL tab, get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54320353
6. Install NI1 patched modem from philz recovery utility, get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m950i4l27cpksrb/NI1_modem.zip?dl=0
7. I'm very happy with Android 4.3 and WiFi working again, if you wanna try to update to 4.4.2, do it at your own risk.
Good Luck
