Quick question about the One X. When I compare the One X with the One S, I must admit that the promise of a hardened (I dont remember what the process was called) alloy body that the One S has seems a lot more appealing than the plastic body of the One X. Those of you who already have it, what do you think about the build quality in general compared to phones made out of various metal? (HTC One S, iPhone 4x, Sensation S, etc)..
Plastic body is easier to mould and lighter than metal and just as durable, plus it don't interfere with wireless signal.
I'm happy with the plastic feel of my One X.
Iphone 4 don't count as it uses regular glass for the back, can't imaging wost material as it is both slippery and easy to break.
Sensation felt clammy and like it could easily slip out of my hand. The One X has a lovely grip to it, and doesn't get all clammy. The lightness is great too.
Definitely a better material to use.
The best thing I like about this phone compared to others I've had in the past is that there seems to be no light leakage where the edge of the screen meets the body of the phone. I hated my Evo 3D and Desire HD for this.
I've haven't held the One S so I can't really compare the two, but the One X feels solid and very light at the same time. I'm starting to get used to the weight of it though and it doesn't seem as light as when I first picked it up.

The finish on the black one s version doesn't appear to be that durable:

And NFC can be used with the One X polycarbonate finish. Afaik One S doesn't have NFC?

Thanks for all the feedback. Ill head down to the store to hold it myself. I disagree with glass being a poor construction material. Glass can shatter, but generally holds up against daily usage fairly well and scratches tend to look less disturbing than they do on plastic covers.

How does your HOX not slip out of your hands? Mine is like soap unless I'm squeezing the hell out of it or it's lying with the screen upwards. Do you use a phone cover? Any someone would recommend?
One S - Ceramic
One X - Polycarbonate
All in all, the One X still feels more solid than the S3, which looks and feels like a plastic toy..
I disagree... the One S both looks and feels a lot better in terms of build quality and sturdiness in my opinion. The glossy plastic on the One X looks awful!

Huh what? The One X is glossy? Are you sure you're holding a One X? The only glossy part of the One X are the sides @[email protected]

I am indeed referring to the sides..
And I own both a One S and a One X, but I simply find that the One S feels a lot more solid and exclusive in hand. Not sure why people find this so hard to understand. To me, oxidized aluminium is a lot more appealing than plastic.

One S does indeed feel better materials wise my sister has one. But our matte finished HOXs feel better than other similar plastic devices out there. The uni body design is well made on the HOX. iPhone 5 feels great too with its finish.

Hi there,
before opening this thread i read through the rest of the case related threads.
I haven't found a good leather pouch case, for htc one. I liked the previous leather cases i had for HTC ONE X/X+, sensation. i had the original leather cases by HTC.
Now it seems that HTC did not release an HTC ONE pouch case.
Do you have a good pouch case to suggest for htc one?
thanks.

Looks great, I was looking for a quality pouch for my device. Just ordered one myself, thanks for the link! :good:
Just got my case today, quality is very good!
Has anyone tried a bugati pouch on the yet? I feel like the iphone 5 is close enough in dimensions.
I know they don't make a One but they're real leather so they can stretch.

Just ordered the mahogany wood back skin, it looks amazing from the render, and for $10, I'm willing to try it out. Anyone have any experience with this company? They're a new company that's less than 2 years old from Canada. Will report back with pictures once I receive it.

I had a custom dbrand skin for my n4 and it was very nice. I am curious to see how they do for the moto x.
It looks as close to the real wood Moto X as anything else I've seen. The reviews I've read from AndroidCentral and AndroidPolice speak very highly of them. For $10, I think it is quite reasonable for the high quality 3M vinyl. They ship on 10/4, so I should have it by next week hopefully.
Will any of you use a bumper? If so, which one...or is there one out there that is worth getting?
I had one on my N4 before I had it RMAed and the quality is superb, I can reapply it, just haven't yet. For those of you who dont know, you can check out there Facebook page or the thread in the Nexus 4 forums.

Hey XDA!
Indeed, the Moto X skins are finally out. We'll be taking pictures of it this week, expect them to be live over the weekend. For anyone not familiar with our products, you can check out our FB page, the unconventionally long Nexus 4 skins thread, or even a recent YT review.
I'm always on XDA, albeit will less frequency lately, so post up if you have any questions or want to see some pre-professional-photo-shoot pictures of any of the skins. I've gone ahead and attached the one pro shot we have of Gold, but feel free to check out the Moto X album of prototype skins here.
Gold will be released on Monday around 2-3am EST.
...of course I forgot the attachment.

i have a question, does your product protect the sides of the moto x or just the back and front? thanks
also, any discount coupon for us, xda members
That gold skin looks really good...I now wish I did not put yellow accent on my phone...hmmm, if there is a discount, I will get it for my Nexus 4
Used Dbrand a few times so far. There really good! The skins can be applied multiple times if you put it back on what they sent it with. I ordered the black carbon fiber skin for my MotoX
MotoXDeveloped
Dbrand is always one of my favorites surely gonna buy the gold one......really excited to use one of them
Feels good, gives the phone more grip to the back!

Very nice Im thinking white carbon fiber for my DE
Will these work with a bumper? I'm thinking a bumper for some drop protection and then a skin to look good. ( I don't drop my phone a lot, but a little insurance is nice).
Got mine yesterday. Great quality

Would you mind posting a picture? I also have the white model and I'm not sure how the wood would look.
Recently received my dbrand skin in the mail. It took about 6 days from when they shipped it.
Ordered the mahogany texture. It is textured and feels like wood. Was very easy to install and is stuck very well on the phone. It looks awesome with the white Moto X. Looks as if the phone came this way. Sorry only one photo.

nice! I ordered the same, but i'm in chile, so the shipping is gonna take about a month
I purchased this dbrand skin with my white Moto X along with this bumper http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FHNXL3I/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I think it will look really good. I'll post pictures
Yes. I'm really happy with it. I can, however feel the edges of the skin on the back of the phone. It doesn't feel as nice as it did naked.

I have one on my woven black, and I love it!
I like the wood on the woven black back. That's pretty sexy.
I also got the wood back from my woven black. Its been a while now and still haven't gotten. Hopefully it comes soon.
Just orderd the mahogany skin for black moto x! can't wait

Hi,
can any one suggest what is the good cases for moto x in india below Rs.1500?
What types of case are you looking at? Leather? Bumper? Back cover only?
You can go for the Case Mate Naked, it was available on Flipkart last time I checked.
I like the looks of this one, not sure about that brand though, http://www.ebay.in/itm/BASEUS-For-M...N_Mobile_Accessories&var=&hash=item461ceb21e5
