Any ZVE ROMs for the LS980? - Sprint LG G2

I have a Sprint G2 with rooted stock ZVE installed. I'm looking for a lighter stock-based ROM with good performance and good battery life.
Can anybody recommend anything? I know ROM choices are a matter of preference, but are there any good ZVE ROMs to jump to? If not, how would I move from ZVE to a ZVD ROM?
Thank you!

No zve, a few zvd. Best in super g2 zvc. Imo

Thanks for the reply. Does ZVC support knock code, do you know?
Also, do I need to do anything special to move from a ZVE ROM to ZVD or ZVC?

Modems weren't changed so you will be OK. Knock code is not on zvc, only zvd and above.
Affliction ROM, was zvd which would carry knock code. Though the kernel is what is needed the zvc Roms don't have the lock screen for it.

I have knock on and knock off on Optimus DE ZVC ROM with Furnace kernel. You have to go into the hidden menu with a dialer code and update touch firmware to enable it.

Lg-e987 (optimus g?)

Hi everyone, i just bought an lg optimus G from my carrier (movistar argentina) and it suposed to say E975, but it say E987 as model numer, i can't find anything on the web about it, and i want to root it and install cwm... i was following some guides here in the forums, but they only say it works for e975 and e973 (canada version).
Anyone can help me out?
Thanks in advance
It has been discussed here already about e987.it's the G for south america.basically e975 and e987 are identical, the only difference is the lte modem.
You should keep that in mind if you try to flash something on it.
But for rooting and unlocking the tools should work. Just make sure you have the kdz updater and the kdz rom for your region, just in case.

so if i flash something like cm10.1 on it i will break it?
the procedure is 99.9% safe. There is that 0.01% chance of something going wrong. No procedure is safe. That's why i said you must have original firmware ready, just in case something goes wrong. This way,if you will have trouble or you won't like CM,you can always go back to stock.
To be honest, right now i am on stock(forgot to change signature in tapatalk ),trying some stuff with xposed framework.I removed some of the bload and changed dpi with xposed framework on every app supporting it. The only thing messed up if you change the dpi is the lockscreen.Leave that alone.I'm very happy with the current settings. Don't get me wrong, CM is great, but i wanna start learning more about modding the framework,so i can have a byte at LG source.I just don't understand why nobodoy has tried to make a custom rom from lg's source. It's way better than samsung's tw,not so heavily modified and not so much bloat.

Personally I would recommend radeonmaya's kitkat rom or the HK E988 rom(not really fond of AT&T bloatware). Radeonmaya's rom recently added knock code plus a bunch of themes and other functions. Try out the AT&T rom first though.

yup. It's got some features added that are not on the stock E980 AT&T rom and the HK E988 rom. SLide aside, knock code for unlocking, suggestions for when pluggin on a headphone or a usb cable, more themes. Downside is the speakerphone doesn't work, if that's not a deal breaker then it is worth a try.

You really need to read the instructions:
Download the flashable zip, the fix, you also beed madmacks kernel, the edited build prop and a cwm and twrp flashable zips. You factory reset
Then flash the rom, then the kernel, then the build prop file and reboot.

I think you have better luck finding a answer in the LG G2 forum:good:

[Update] Android L (Lollipop) and the G2

Figured I'd start a thread about Lollipop since it was officially announced today. As others (namely @KD8JBF ) have pointed out, Sprint has updated their device RDF page to mention a ZVE firmware. Will this be the update to Lollipop? Any ideas?
How do you think the G2 will handle Lollipop, and what do you think about what we've seen of Lollipop so far? Hopefully ZVE will at least fix some of the bugs in LG's firmware.

Hmm... Well then, wonder what will be new in ZVE, 'cause were already on 4.4.2... Do you think we'll get it eventually?

I'm up for anything that uses more WiFi. I have a damn Airave because Sprint doesn't have signal where I live, which creates a whole other cluster of problems. Wonder how long it will take for us to get it?
I honestly do try not to be negative much....but where is the "This poll is stupid and pointless" option? :-/

Lol I'll try to add that.
I believe this is the update to use the home launcher from the G3. LG stated a few months ago that they were going to update the G2/Pro/Flex to the G3 launcher and they were attempting to have them all updated by Christmas.
is this rom running smoothly with lg 980 .

This thread isn't about a ROM, it's about a software update from Sprint. If you're confusing the two, I'll answer as if you meant update when you said "ROM". If you were to update to ZVE (or update at all) and you're on CloudyG3 right now, you would have to downgrade back to a stock version of the LG LS980 firmware. You can do this using LG's FlashTool and a tutorial I put up on here awhile back. I also put up tutorial videos with links and downloads on YouTube if you search for my name " Kristi Grant". When I get on my laptop I'll post links, or click on the link in my signature.

Its 5.0.2 now and called ZVF!! Woot...looks like lolli is dropping soon.
They might as well wait for 5.1 to help fix memory leak

I'm just waiting for someone to get the update, root it, and do a Stock clean TWRP Backup (before signing in).
Hopefully someone will be nice enough to do this for those of us without access to a Windows computer with the FlashTool.

That is where 5.1.1 comes about. 5.1 fixed, 5.0 leaks. But then they had leaks in 5.1 which hopefully 5.1.1 fixes
I wonder if the update will bring wifi calling to the G2 finally.
T-Mobile's LG G2 should receive a Lollipop treat starting today
