Hi guys,
! If you know where my topic will have more success, please tell me, there are too many forums on XDA !
I have a Jiayu S2 MT6592. I wanted to make a full backup of my rom. (system + cache + user data etc..)
With the new version of SP Flashtool ( SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1416.00 ), I did it !
I also made files for SP Flashtool thanks to MTKDroidtool.
You can find the full scatter here : http://pastebin.com/vBP89vjB
For the backup, I stopped to FAT partition.
Code:
for userdata
linear_start_addr: 0x 4580 0000
physical_start_addr: 0x 4580 0000
partition_size: 0x1 0000 0000
FAT
linear_start_addr: 0x 1 4580 0000
My files :

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You see, I have every files and the scatter is correct.
But when I load the scatter into SP Flashtool, Flashtool isnt able to load my data.img with correct adresses ...
I already tried to load manually but it doesnt work.
I think it's because of the length of the address (9digits, 0x 1 0000 0000) instead of 8 for other partitions/blocks.
SPFT cant load the data.img with a size > 4GB maybe...
I can't contact the developers then I post here.
Could you help me ?
I really would like to backup and restore my whole phone with all data. ( really FULL backup )
Thank you very much.

Hi dears
Really happy o be a part of this great community..
I am working in jeddah, KSA . I am not a developer. I have an issue with my redmi device. Can someone help to solve this please..
I tried to flash my Mi Note 5A (China MDT6S) 4GB 64 GB version in fast boot mode. The phone was not bootable fro 1 year, was stuck with mi logo (showed on bottom 'unlocked'). I searched internet and found firmware and tried to flash using that firmaware in fast boot mode using MiFlash tool.
File name : Xiaomi_Redmi_Note_5A_V11.0.3.0.NDFMIXM_20191022.0000.00_Global_7.1_XFT. It took 300+ seconds for many steps and then showed 'rebooting' status. I waited again, for some minutes. but then showed me timeout!!!!
Then when tried to start the device i shows penguin screen. I am trapped from there
Then i searched again over internet. Got some ideas to open the device and short the two points. I did it and connected usb cable at same time. Got my device in COM05 and tried to flash again in MiFlash tool. But cannot recieve helium packet. Also it tries to reset status and shows 'object reference not set to an instance of an object'.
I have tried different versions of flash tool.
A help from someone to solve this will be highly appreciated.
I have tried all below firmwares

So i search for methods and found this one: https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-32719.html yes i flashed that empty vbmeta, and when i restart my phone it ended with white screen sayin that i need to insert pasword with 30x attemps (now still had about 10-15 attempts because it decrease everytime phone restart) because my phone is encrypted but i cannot touch any of my screen.
4. i can u enter EDL mode though, so i tried to restore everything that i backuped before like FTM, BOOT_A, BOOT_B, ABL_A, ABL_B and it ended Stuck On Fastboot with SECURE BOOT -yes. Heres the pic:

I have tried reinstalling firmware twice the second time using a pit file / nand erase repartition,
What am I missing here ?
EFS partition is a special partition dedicated for your phone's info like radio signal info, IMEI, SN and lots of files revolving around your SIM card and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth ( this includes your MAC address for all the radios of your phone ). Imagine the EFS as a big folder containing all of the important stuff that makes the "phone" part of your phone.
EFS partition isn't part of any Stock ROM or Custom ROM.

My Bluetooth , and WiFi still work. Baseband displays. No eid or imei tho
Im once again into this typical "I bricked my phone and spend endless hours searching for tutorials and hoping that something work" stuff. This time I broke my persist.img and noticed something strange:
There are dozen of tutorials which state that one should download a clean fastboot rom to extract the persist.img (".\images\persist.img") from the image folder and flash it either using recovery or fastboot edl in combination with a modified rom to only flash this partition.
Now I noticed that the persist.img partition is pretty empty for most Xiaomi stock roms:

}
In comparisation the persist partition I extracted from a friend who luckily got the same phone:
How is the above persist partition from the stockrom supposed to help someone when there are just empty files? Atleast for me it didnt bring back the sensors when I flashed it. On the contrary the persist partition from my friend fixed everything.
If the persist file of every stock rom is empty beside a few zero byte files the conclusion would be that the only way to get a working file is to get your hands on a unmodified one from someone else.
Or is there some magic that will enrich the partition with new files as soon as you boot the stockrom for the first time?
How come there are so many tutorials saying that one should flash this partition from stock?
are you sure you have downloaded a fastboot (TGZ) rom and open the TAR file?
