Hello
Since one week i'm having 16hours battery till it drains completely, before that i got 1day and an half to 2 days, i'm using this phone for 1 year and i've never experienced that, so i decided to make a hard reset and see what i got, it stills drains in 16hours
i guess my battery isn't in it's full capacity maybe it's time to change for a new one
i'm in panic, its that a possibility that the phone become faulty or is just time to change for a new battery ?
Thanks
Edit : I'm using HTC Desire with Android 2.2 Stock Rom
HTC themselves IIRC made the announcement that after a year of battery cycle battery might need to be replaced.

Thank you for the answer, i've noticed that gsm only mode is the cause of abnormal consumption, i can't explain why since i have no apps installed, i did hard reset yesterday... now i'm testing with gsm auto prl and is saving a lot of battery but 3g network don't suit for me, it's very unstable here...
Hi there,
I'm using a HTC Desire bravo with newest Runnymede Rom installed how the FAQ it wanted.
But the problem I have is not related to the rom I'm using. The problem is that my desire shuts down at a battery level of 25%. When I get it two years ago it was 10%, fine so long. But 25% is much more and in my opinion not acceptable. After each rom flashing I wipe battery stats and also a few days ago. But the problem is still there.
Are there any information about to "repair" the shut down to 0% or nearly 0% ??
Thanks!

Try this calibration : http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=723 . I haven't tried it yet, but if you follow the steps it should be ok. Good luck !

I am using the rsk 7.1 Rom with the droidzone #4 kernel and I am 6 % at the moment. I tried all the sense 3.5 roms in here they all shutdown at about 18 %.....this is the first time in months I reach the 6 %.....
Sorry I mean 5 %

I am not saying that my setup works for you. Every phone is behaving different and it also depends on the batt. But it surprised me that this is the first time ever on a sense 3.5 rom that my phone shuts down at 5% !

I used to have that problem on all sense ROMS i tried. But then i came across a fix as it was called. I flashed the .zip in recovery. Booted back up. Charged to 100%, wiped battery stats using battery calibration, then let phone discharge to 0%. Then re-charged back up to 100%. It now all seems to work fine and dies at 0%, rather than 20%. I dont claim to have making this, you can also find it in the dev section.
The .zip file is in attachments

Hi.
The last few days I tested the method with the nobcap tool. But nothing works. I did everything like the manual said. But there is no time to plug in the phone when the splash comes. When the 3201 mv is reached the pop-up comes and the desire shuts down immediately. I tried this several times :-(
Also I got some jumping black lines with the kernel and wlan doesn't work. The Runnymede kernel doesn't support nobcap. :-(
And now the battery drains much faster then before :-\

Sorry to crash the party. I had a similar problem. The solution is easy.
Change the battery.
That's what I did and the problem went away.
OK. But in 2-3 I will get the HTC one x and therefore I won't buy a new battery.

I haven't use my galaxy note 8 for a while so I figured i would get it out and root it so , samsung sent an upgrade and i was preparing to root.i put it on the charger it started flashing like crazy and went dead . No charger is working . it worked fine right before,. i remember we had i an issues awhile back with it flickering and shutting down.
you have to replace the battery with a new battery
