Hi everyone, i am facing some HUGE battery drains when i am over a 3G network.
I am currently using a Stock ROM 2.2 (JPS i guess),but as soon i turn the 3G on,my battery does not last 10 minutes.
I started looking over a battery replacement,and i´ve found all those :
Ebay Search
I want to know if you guys can tell me which would be a better alternative for a compatible battery. Also,if you guys already experienced this battery drain and were able to fix it somehow.
Thanks in advance.

After 1 year and an half some months ago i faced the same problem, so i bought a new battery on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=110861143398&view=all&tid=834148161001) but i still had a short battery life on 3G/2G and i thught the problem was the ruined battery (it arrived in terrible conditions with cracks etc...) so i bought this extended battery: http://www.ebay.it/itm/261029030204...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1965wt_1029 . It didn't arrive yet but someone that bought it can tell me if it works better than the original one or not?
After almoste 2 and a half year of service my battery died in peace
so I begon the search for a new battery and found this battery pack on e-bay
I'm using these battery's for about 2 weeks now and I have to say I'm very satisfied
They last for about 3 day's (mobile data constantly connected, wifi for about 1 hour turned on and some pictures)
I definitely recommend this battery pack to al of you

Hi all,
I'm on ddjp6 rooted.
Battery stand by is good.
But during using internet, fully charged battery expires in just 20 minutes or less...
The phone immediatly shuts down after showing low battery warning. (in 5 seconds)
Is this a rom problem?
Because I think on official eclair , the battery was good.
Can a custom rom solve this?
Please suggest me...
Thanks in advance...
With best regards...

How old is your battery ?
This may be indication of battery is about to get worse and die
During stand-by battery doesn't needs much power so it sustains standby.
A new battery should be around 500/599INR. at samsung service center.
My battery is 20 months old, but still lasts for 3-4 days easily.
I'm using Custom OC ROM.
Drain battery to "0" and charge it continuously for 3-4 hours, keeping phone switched off. Do this once a month. This fixes problem.
If u've rooted then do battery calibration...
Hello,
My battery expires in one day with 3G only activate... If you want to use 3G all the time like me,'re trying to install a firewall (avast mobile for example) to choose only the apps that need to communicate on the internet... Thank you for keeping me informed...

Hi all:
I have just purchased my desire 816 dual sim last saturday! However, I have found that the battery drain is quite significant! I didn't use the phone often. Just using FB and web surfing for 10 minutes and leave it for another 36 minutes alone, but the battery drops by 6%!!!! I have turned on the ART mode and battery save mode, but it doesn't help much!
Anyone has the same experience as I have?

Hello,
The battery life on this phone is pretty amazing, the 2,600mAh battery does work well.
I guess your problem can be with the network reception.
If you use 3G and aren't getting proper signals, the phone strives hard to search for a better signal, and hence in that case, that keeps the processor awake, and it leads in the mre consumption of battery than usual.
I would recommend you to switch to 2G mode, or Wi-Fi if possible. And then observe for sometime. If ever your problem isn't solved after trying what I wrote above, try uninstalling any 3rd party apps that you think are useless, (Not 100% sure about this, because Android does manage it's apps well, and there are very less chances of battery drain through an app) or you can then try to let the HTC Service guys know your issue, and I hope they do something for you.
Good luck.

htc desire battery draining superfast
Can someone give me a solution to two problems:
1. I bought HTC desire 816 dual SIM two days back and it's battery is draining super fast. Within a couple of hours battery goes to 50 percent whereas I am not into gaming etc. Very average usage. I read good reviews about the battery life and bought this phone . Can someone help? Is this a defective piece?
2. If I have disabled an app, and then enabled it, where do I see the shortcut from. For example polaris. I disabled and enabled it. Now when I search in settings< apps it shows but I can't find it in the apps menu. How do I use it again?
Thanks

It would be more informative and helpful if you could post some more details like, the battery stats, what all apps are you running etc.
A bland advice would be try factory resetting your phone.

Micromax Canvas A1 Battery Draining after Lollipop Update
Hi all!!
I have a micromax canvas a1, and it was working completely fine till I upgraded it to Android 5.1 Lollipop. But after the update, the battery is draining very very fast, and I don't know why. Earlier, the battery used to last a good 10 hours on moderate usage, but after the update it seems that the battery is broken.
2 days ago, I noted the battery level on my phone to be 62% before going to sleep, and when I got up in the morning, it was only 6%!!!
Can anybody tell me what is the problem, and how do I fix it?

After a software update generally a phone tends to suck up more battery than usual and it goes back to normal after a few days........
But if the problem doesnt seem to fix up then i should say u must check yor app processes in the the battery option..........you will get a detailed overview of which app is the culprit and hence will be able to take necessary action
