A couple months ago my HTC One M8 started entering the headphone mode even there were no headphones plugged in. And as I coulnd't fix the problem by myself I went to the next Hutchison 3 store where I also got my phone from. Long story short : No warranty and they want 250 € for fixing the problem and they also told me that the headphone jack was broken. And since 250 € is way too much for me they returned my phone without any fixing. So I ordered this
http://www.amazon.de/Original-HTC-Connector-Ladebuchse-Microfon/dp/B00NP0XINI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420751805&sr=8-1&keywords=htc+one+m8+ladebuchse
from amazon and made a DIY transplantation . Since then everything was ok and everything worked properly but a couple days ago the same problem came back again and only if I hold the phone up like I usually do (with two hands like if I'm texting, for example) but if it's flat (on a table for example), everything works how it should.
Did somebody had the same problem or knows how to fix it ? And sorry for my bad english
Regards, Talpeš
Don't have a solution for this but this happened on my m7 when I had it, was told the sensor that detects when headphones are plugged in might have gotten wet. It eventually started working normal again and never did it again, I guess it had moisture and I had to let it dry up. Don't think this is your problem but just in case it might help
Well thank you. But when I look back it rained once on it last summer but only a few drops and it might be that what you said about the sensor but anyway thank you . And did your m7 work again without any issues or did you have to open your phone and dry it or change something?

Hi,
I purchased a HT820 headphone from ebay (Hong Kong) and I am sure it is not a knock off as it came with real box and warranty (if it is a knock off, they went to a lot of trouble to make it convincing).
My problem is, that in November last year I went away for 3 weeks and when I got back the headphones would not charge. This is the strange part, before I went away they worked fantastically.
The symptoms are:
I can put it on charge and both the blue lights come on strongly and turn off after about 2 hours.
I disconnect the unit from the power and hold the MFB down for anywhere between 5 seconds to an minute and nothing happens.
I can't take them back as this was an ebay purchase and the headband no longer has the serial numbers Does anybody know how I can either (a) get it working again (if this is a common problem) I have seen many threads on other forums, but not one has been able to solve the problem. or (b) tell me what I need to do to diagnose the problem by dismantling the unit.
I really appreciate any help as I really love this headset and was disappointed by the failure.
TIA

I cant offer much help on this, but my knockoffs came with a warranty card and numbers on the headband that wore off after a few uses...
I have got the same problem, it charge but not turn on. I bought it from ebay also.
Hi, my Desire has been extremely unlucky
It started suddenly with some mad behaviour of the volume keys and after a while it stared hanging at bootscreen.
Sent it to repair under warranty and after a month i got it back, they told me it couldn't be repaired under warranty because of some liquid infiltration. It was declared impossible to repair, even at my cost.
I was sure it didn't fall into water, so i opened it and actually found out that a small drop of water must have entered near the optical trackpad. Shame on HTC for not putting some plastic protection there. Really a bad design! A couple of pins of the very small connector looked oxidized. I found out that that faulty connection gives some weird behaviour, including impossiblity to detect the sdcard. After a good cleaning of the connector it started working ok, it's been working perfectly for over a month.
Unfortunately 2 days ago i dropped the phone and since then I can't access my sdcard anymore. I dismantled the phone again and tried about everything but i couldnt get it work. I'm not sure the problem is still related to the trackpad connector, as everything else works just fine, but as a last resort before reselling it for spare parts, i've been trying to find a replacement for the trackpad but i found nothing.
Anybody aware of any means to get a replacement? Any suggestion would be welcome.
I've been after one for ages after dropping my phone in my drink. I cleaned it up and it worked for ages then died and can't fix it again. Had mad volume behaviour while it was damaged.
Hi all,
well I'm not happy at all. I am on the 3rd Nexus so far, the first one started having the phantom charging issue within about 2 weeks of owning it. That went back for repair, but when it came back I walked out the store and it would not turn on! Went back and the swapped it for a 'new' one. I say new but I'm not sure as I didn't see the box being opened. I started having problems with that one within a month or two, same again. Also every now and again it would not switch on easily without plugging it into a PC or something.
Anyway, I recently woke up one morning and the battery had died over night, tried to charge it with no luck. I have tried everything, the USB trick, leaving it overnight, all sorts. When I plug it into a USB port I get the ding dong noise, but about 4-5 seconds later it disconnects, then re-connects... and cycles again and again.
Well took it back to the shop and sent for repair and it came back exactly the same, because they say they found water damage!!! This is total rubbish and the photo 'evidence' they provided did not convince me at all! I have since opened the phone up and the tiny bit of residue on the top left of the main PCB looks more like flux than a water mark to me. The moisture sticker is fine and the area in question has hardly any components there, just a cap and resistor. I am an electronic engineer by trade and I know it would take more than that to break it!
I am certainly not going to lie down and let Vodaphone crap on me for a phone that has been well looked after and is old about 8 months old, there is no way that I'm prepared to pay £45 a month for the next 8 months for nothing!
I have ordered a new USB PCB so I will try that when it arrives but I'm wondering if anyone has had similar issues and managed to resolve them? I haven't got another battery I can try but I would be surprised if it is that?
Hi everybody, I've been googling and looking into all the posts (here in xda) I could related to my problem.
Currently I'm in Nepal, and bought a second hand One X International version; the unit was barely used with very minor wear signs. A couple of weeks ago I was driving on the road and it started pouring rain, made it home in about 5 mins. Phone did not appear to have gotten very wet, however I took the silicon case of and dried the screen with a piece of cloth. I forgot to turn the phone off and as everything seemed fine, I continued using it for the next couple of days.
Two weeks later I start getting complains from people I was on the phone with stating that they could barely hear me, but oddly enough at times they mic volume went up and all the sudden they could hear me crystal clear.
If I turn the phone into speaker mode then they can hear me, the same happens with headphones.
Tried getting rid of stock Sense (not sure what version I had, I know it was JB 4.1.1 and Sense 4+), flashed IceColdJelly 3.5.1
Also left the phone off in rice for about 2 days (it was too late to do it but tried it anyways)
My phone does not have warranty and I'm reluctant to send it into a Repair Center here as I've heard friends and their terrible experiences with them in here.
So I decided to open my phone to see if the MIC was clogged/dirty or something (plus I have the WiFi signal issue) but everything on the inside seems fine. The phone itself seems to have never been open.
The MIC still sounds muffled (no it is not completely dead), tried the stock android Sound Recorder and barely pics up my voice if I speak directly into it.
Could it be a software issue? If not, how can I test and know which MIC I need to buy???
Any help, tips or thoughts will be much appreciated!!!
P.S. I also tried doing a Factory Reset. Nothing changed
problem apparently solved
so last night I managed to restore the phone into it's original state with a nandroid backup. Haven't been able to fully check the issue properly because I did not put the phone back the bezel yet. But now volume in video recording is normal, and have been told that I can be heard on a call
Ok so the mrs had this Nokia 6.1 2018 TA-1050 and the charge port broke the phone was otherwise working fine it would still charge if got cable right place but only charge 50% over night she managed on for few days till I bought her a new phone , anyway it was still in good condition and shame chuck away so I decided to buy a replacement USB C charge port pcb in order to replace this part I needed to remove the screen ! not easily done and ended up breaking digitizer , was easy to replace charge port and cost £1:99 from Ebay, so now I needed a new screen and digitizer so ordered one on Ebay around £23 this arrived i put phone back together and with only one ribbon and clip to connect screen I put that back on and booted phone before I fixed screen back down with adhesive to test , Now phone boots and I can hear the Nokia start up jingle but the display just does not come on what so ever I can plug charger in and hear charge sound and can hold power Vol up and vibrates and can hear sound when boot up just no display , I can't see really what could of gone wrong when it's only one ribbon connection for screen that is definitely pressed down and in place I've took apart and rebuilt number of times and still no screen coming on so I'm at loss to what it is other than been sent a dud screen , but with no way to tell I don't have much of a argument I've contacted the Ebay seller and explained hoping he will send another but not holding my breath on that other than I haven't left feedback yet so that might sway for a replacment, just don't understand why screen not work now when it was fine before I broke orig just thought would be a cheap easy fix and save the phone for a while longer , maybe I was wasting my time Lol , anybody have any idea , appreciated

Did you update to April Security Patch? My touchscreen stopped working within 12h after updating. I don't think it's a coincidence. Phone is 3 weeks old, didn't drop it, nothing. Maybe, you're experiencing the same issue.
