hello guys,
I have been following xperia m dual since its launch and now have finally decided to get 1.
im a dual sim user using bsnl and aircel.
I have read some issues on this device on bsnl sim card that internet isn't working and network fluctuation (got from Google.com) .
I would request any Indian user using a m dual device to plz insert any bsnl sim and check whether everything works just fine because I don't want to change my service provider for any baseband issues.
I also checked out xperia m2 but im not fond of large screen phones.
Im gonna stick to 4' /<125 mm sized phone and I have zeroed in on xperia m dual and Samsung galaxy s4 mini and im keen to get a xperia m dual.so plz help me if your a Indian user with access to a bsnl micro sim card.
thank you.

So I got a LYF phone and Jio Sim with unlimited offer for 3 months. Works fine in my LYF phone.
I popped this sim in my OP3 and downloaded all the JIO apps. It even says VoLTE on the top. I'm logged into MyJio and JioJoin. It just wouldn't connect. The exclamation mark in the network bar wont go. And a notification that says 'Sign in to network; Jio 4G'. When I click on this notification it opens a webpage saying that I've exhausted my balance. I've read a lot of peoples' posts that Jio is in fact working on OP3.
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? I've even tried to reset my apn as to how it tells in the SMS.
My OP3 isn't unlocked and rooted.
The sim that you have is locked to the LYF phone and wouldn't work on any other phone (except some Samsung phones)
Only the sim phone tied to a Samsung device would work on your phone, afaik. SIM tied to LYF phone won't work on any other device.

I have a Jio connection which I took in May. After the 3 months they made the connection free to use with any other mobile. The speed I get is just amazing.
If u getting the sim for a Samsung mobile.. U need to use it with the Samsung phone and activate the preview offer. If not, there are many work arounds tutorial available on YouTube. I was able to activated a new sim with that work around.

Hi Everyone,
I own a Sony device z3+ dual but sony is not providing volte update for reliance jio network for this phone. But Z5 dual & z5 premium already got volte update. I talked to sony several times but they said that this is hardware issue but I'm completely aware that Volte is a software concern. I love my phone and features. It is currently running on Android 7.0.
Let me give you other details :
Z3+ Dual Specs vs Z5+ Dual Specs (please refer gsmarena)
Build Number : 32.3.A.2.33
I am also thinking if there could be any way to install Xperia Z5 dual rom or atleast it's volte patch on my xperia z3+ dual.
These two phones are very much identical.
Will someone give me any favour on it?
Does Sony Xperia Compact H8324 support 4g Volte ? Does it support it on both the sim at a time 4G+4G Dual sim dual standby ? Could anyone list out official 4G frequencies.
Any Forum users are successfully tried H8324 dual 4G please share.
I bought a Sony Xperia Premium Dual sim, put my two EE sims in and it zapped the signal significantly. It was if it was fighting for the signal. One sim would win and vice versa and the loser often ended up with no signal. Sony said this would happen is it was not designed for two sims of the same network. I got shut.
Could anyone confirm if I was just unlucky with that one as I am looking for Dual Sim again.
Thank you.
Hello, i have the sam A705FN (non dual sim varient, however other network providers here do have the DS varient)
When i took this phone i assumed i would get th Dual sim varient.
I see on my sim tray i have shouldhve had space for 3 cards (one last slot is blanked out)
Now my question is, if i get a ds varient sim tray will i be able to ise dual sim, even if i need to somehow flash the ds firmware.
And does the fn varient even have the hardware to support dual sim

all A705FN firmwares are for dual sim , exept on your device the dual sim is greyed out , you can buy a dual sim varient but tell me whats your country and service provider

I don't think you can use dual sim even if you used the tray form a dual sim model. If the phone only shows 1 IMEI number the device probably only has 1 sim card slot.

true but you can trick the phone by adding a 2st imei from another phone , also the firmware check of your hardware is compatible , so if it detect a dual sim it could theorically work and the settings would appear again or not be greyed out anymore

How can we be sure that there is a second sim card reader in it?

Yeah you can't be sure. My guess would be that it does not have a second sim card reader because it doesn't make sense for a company to make hardware and disable it through software (Even though it could and has happened). Cant be sure until somebody does a teardown comparison.

Hey, sorry for only getting back to you now, life has been busy..
but here's what's happened since i last posted.
I have an a70 from MTN-SA (mobile telecommunications network south Africa)
it is a single sim tray.
i used a sim tray from the Samsung galaxy a50 Dual sim variant, with no second sim detected unfortunately.
i wonder if the device has the hardware to support a second sim. If so, i do have an extra IMEI number to use that i got off a cheapo dual sim china phone.

i wondered the same thing.. But there is a dual sim variant of this device out in the wild.
My country doesn't allow dual sim (only with 2 specific carriers [cell-c & Telkom Mobile (8ta)])
so it's weird that they would make two separate hardware revisions for the same market?
