Hi all,
I have a weird requirement.
I have a Galaxy Note 4.
1. I installed gotomypc app and gotomypc software on my work laptop and my Galaxy Note 4 and I can browse my Home laptop when I'm outside.
Similarly, is there any app, which I can install on my Galaxy Note 4 and remote control my another Verizon Galaxy S5 Phone in my home?
I want to just do everything, like I do when I connect via gotomypc software to my laptop from my Phone or Work Laptop.
I don't mind paying monthly fee for this app, if there is a subscription fees. Just like for gotomypc, I pay $9.95/ Month.
Thank You for Your suggestions.

Not exactly what you may want but try VNC viewer, you would need VNC installed on laptop. Not tested on G3 as I don't have mine yet
Or RDP to PC with the Microsoft app for android

I want to control my samsung galaxy nexus via my pc but I dont need display I just need to use the keyboard and mouse.
Let me tell you why....
I currently have a spare monitor and I have connected my Samsung galaxy Nexus to it via an MHL adaptor but I would like to use my pc mouse and keyboard to do stuff on it and then just change back to pc when I want.
Anyone know any tools to do this?
Thanks
Bluetooth keyboard and mouse is the best option.
Try free AirDroid which lets you use many features of your phone including texting and managing apps via your browser on a PC as long as you're on the same network.

I had been using Droid VNC Server in the past, however it doesn't seem to support ICS. knoxbrder seems to be very close to having a working version for the Galaxy Nexus, you can take a look at this thread for some details.
Once this is running, you can run vncviewer on a Linux system, or download RealVNC for Windows and access your phone when it's on your WiFi network.

LMAO Are you going to hook your microwave up to a monitor as well? How about your toilet? Maybe you can get to the point where everything you own from phone, to coffee maker, to wrist watch has its own monitor. Clearly you need to get out more brah
I've found the remotely controllable phone-to-TV connection very useful. My old TV didn't have Pandora support so I used to hook up my X to it so I could listen via my sound system speakers. I now have a Google TV with a Pandora client, but with a dumb monitor you can also throw in Netflix and Amazon video to turn it into a smart TV. Or just turn the phone into a mini-desktop, it's already just a pocket computer.
i have been pretty disapointed with android options in this department.
i had veency running like a charm on my iphone, but nothing for android. and most of the vnc/rdp programes in market are not what they claim to be.
I have recently upgraded from a Galaxy S to the S III. I like the phone, however I am about ready to pay the re-stocking fee, and find another. My issue is that I can not sync any documents with my PC, using the USB Cable. With Kies, it will sync everything else (all the "play" things - photos and MP3's), but I use it for work and I need to be able to sync .pdf files and documents. I have use "Documents-to-go" since I switched to android OS, and ActiveSync for my old window phones, but it doesn't work on this Galaxy S III. Can anyone suggest a "work-around", or application that handles this function? Thanks for your help.
Drop box and Quick office. You can access your online documents straight from quickoffice and its cheaper than paying the restocking fee.

Is there another program besides "Drop Box"? Drop Box is a web based, storage program. I need a simple, connect by USB cable and sync application! Due to our corporate policy, they have the web locked down tight. It seems completely ridiculous that this would be such an issue with the SGH-I747....
Basically, I'm looking to control my Galaxy Note 4 from my PC with a keyboard and mouse. Can this be done somehow over my WiFi? I read about an app called mobizen, but I have no clue how it works. Anyone familiar with this? What I want to do, is basically:
Drag files in and out of my phone to/from PC
Use my PC's keyboard and mouse to do things like texting or typing in messages into my phone with other apps
Try Samsung SideSync.

You might also try Mobizen. I use that with my Note 2.

By any chance, when attempting to install Mobizen on your PC, did you get a "File Copy Error!!" when first launching Mobizen (which runs an auto update that causes this message)?
That said, Mobizen isn't currently an option since it doesn't even run on my PC. Apparently, I'm not the only one to have this problem with it.
Any other suggestions on remote connection to phone?
I use Team Viewer to control all of my Android devices. Unlike the PC to PC connection, however, the phone must "accept" the remote control request each time.
I second Team Viewer, it's free and fast and easy.
I mostly use it the other way around to control my PC but it works great either way!

Team Viewer from what I understand, won't cut the mustard. For a phone, it only goes from phone to PC, thus putting your PC on your phone, correct? You can't "Call" your phone via Teamspeak. Correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise, that would be nice if it did do that.
You would need TeamViewer's Quick Support app plus the Samsung module. Both can be found in the Play Store.
I would second SideSync. It works really well and has a keyboard and mouse only option.

I don't quite understand you. Are you wanting to control a smartphone from another smartphone, or are you wanting to control your PC from a smartphone?
I haven't used GoToMyPC in maybe 8 years or so. I eventually discovered TeamViewer. Basically, you can set up an account, install TeamViewer on any PC you want, sign into that account with each computer you want to control. Then from a smartphone (presumably Galaxy Note 4 but any supporting Smartphone will do), download the TeamViewer app where you can sign into your account and have access to any PC on that account. I don't think there's a way within TeamViewer to control another Smartphone, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why they do not have that sort of functionality, yet.
I don't think there's a way for TeamViewer to "Wake" a computer (In otherwords, no Wake-on-LAN support). There's another app I use called Wol Wake on Lan Wan for that. You just got to know how to configure your router and your PC's firewall, manually to support that, but nowadays if you just Google most things, there's more than likely an existing support thread.
I second teamviewer .. But never tried to use it one phone to another. I just use Bluetooth file transfer for file transfers when im out about otherwise i connect things and transfer stuff.
Has anyone had any success connecting the Tab s to a pc using sidesync 3.
Both versions sit on 'scanning' finding nothing. I have a note 3 but due to the fact that it's still on JB I can't load sidesync on that to try it out.
I'm using Windows 7 ultimate x64
I believe that Samsung Sidesync is nothing more than bait to get people to buy these devices and not deliver as advertised. I've have never got Sidesync to work properly as they suggest with PC's (more than one) or even other Samsung devices like the S4 and the S5. I have to force the connection to the S4 anytime I want to use Sidesync. Thus far, this app is nothing more than a gimmick in my opinion since it has never worked flawlessly for me.
It doesn't support Tab to PC, read the developer responses to similar comments in the Play Store.
Only supports Tab to Phone, and Phone to PC I believe
