In B707 & B708, all is ok but I don't find where to set up apps that have to be run at startup; in B704 I was able to do that.
and also I can't find ro.config.DelStartupManager=true in build prop.
so i add the line ro.config.StartupManager=true / ro.config.DelStartupManager=true / ro.config.StartupManager_enable=true ...
still cannot find Starup Manager in Settings.
from this post he said -> Open app, go to bkgn power-intensive apps, find your app and check startup manager.
there i can't find startup manager..
How to enable the Startup Manager without third party?
Please help me.

You might have installed a cab that doesn't allow you to uninstall the software. You have many options to fix this. Some may work perfectly, others not so much, depends on the situation.
Option one is to install WinCE Cab Manager on your PC. Open the .cab file you installed (vulcan dialer) and change the properties of this file (Cabinet > Properties). The first screen should give you an check box option to allow the user to uninstall this app. Check the box, save, reinstall on your phone, then uninstall from the programs list. Also, make sure you are using the same .cab file you originally used, or it may make things worse.
Option two is to find the default XPERIA X1 dialer somewhere in the forum and install over vulcan dialer.. But I don't know how well that would work.
Last option is to hard-reset, if all else fails.
So Im trying to get an app that is not on the market anymore but my phone will not let me download it. Sometimes my phone lets me download apks and sometimes it doesn't. Is their a way to make it work everytime?
Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> make sure "unknown sources" is checked.
If you still have trouble (like the install doesn't launch right away or it says no application to open this file) try downloading a file manager / explorer and launch the apk from the download folder.

When I select permissions it says no permissions granted. When I try to turn on storage permissions I get screen overlay message seen above.
I never had this issue before. Is there something going on with my permissions and how do I correct it?
thanks for your help
Go to Settings -> Apps -> 3 dots Configure apps -> Special access -> Draw over other apps
One of the apps listed here is the problem, try to disable one by one until the problem is fixed.

If you are running on marshmallow(6.*) Ignore that, first restart the phone on safe mode and then do what this member said(i had the same problem before nougat) or just give the app permissions while you are in safe mode.
Thanks for the reply.
I appear to be a bit different. 3dot menu has show system, sort by size and Reset app preferences.
Gear menu has Draw over apps. Unfortunately when I select Draw Over apps I find that all of the apps with the exception of a recently installed one are disabled.
My feeling is that I have had some time of File permissions SNFU that pretty much farked everything. At the moment I can not access files on a computer via usb and am not even able to read my SD directly from a computer.
Any suggestions on fixing hosed permissions or other would be extremely helpful.

Is ROM dependant really, but on Stock, should in Settings -> Scroll down to Applications sub header -> Then Application Manager (Apps). Or sounds like you are in the correct place already (Applications)
. Then go to Download Manager, then Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data.

Seem like ZUI has overriden all the stock setting related to this. In settings> advance settings > applications
But this ZUI os ROM doesn't have download manager under it . The new lenevo default ROM ZUI help seems to be difficult to find .
