Screwed up my partition on my sprint note 4(sm-n910p) searched high and low for a .pit file. If anyone could help me out i would love you because both sprint and samsung wont help out.
Can you still access custom recovery? If so, have you tried wiping each partition in recovery? (specially system partition). Try flashing just the TWRP recovery and then reboot into recovery and try wiping everything several times over.If you're able to wipe system then go back and try to Odin the stock NK2 rom .tar.md5. If this fails then you're stuck with trying to pul a pit file or filing an insurance claim. How did this happen anyway?

As I'm working on mine this morning I will attempt to make you one.
Before trying this, ARE YOU SURE you can't simply get into recovery mode?

One time i was wiping every partition in TWRP and it crashed doing system.
I can get to recovery and everything works like normal on aosp and custom ROMs.
However when I odin the stock NIE or NK2 it will only bootloop even though odins saying its good. (i then odin TWRP and flash a customer rom. And I had the NK2 update.
Then when I flash liquid it used to say success result /system. After the recovery crashed it says success result =-=-=-=-. Idk if they changed the script or not.
And another rom I flashed said it couldnt un mount system.
It still wipes fine in TWRP though... Maybe I have another issue with the stock image and they did change the script to say =-=-. I was just going to try the pit as a way to fix it.

If you have a bad partition, no rom would boot. You don't need to repartition. Try odin version 3.07 .

Does Odin need the pit file to repartition? Or does that work just by using a stock tar? I've never tried.
When you flash the stock ROM in oden, and you get a boot loop, go into stock recovery and do a factory reset and reboot. That should boot it for you.

A pit file by itself will create the partitions and nothing more. (the correct pit for your specific device that is) The rom .tar files that have the pit file will do it all in one while flashing the stock rom.
For anybody wondering... By all means DO NOT flash a pit file unless you are absolutely positive you have a good working pit for your specific device and know exactly what you're doing. Don't assume you have a bad partition and go flashing a pit file willy nilly to see if it will fix your phone. You can destroy the partition if you're not careful. Flashing a pit file should be done as a last resort. Literally.

Depending on the software. Pit files are absolutely dependent on the software version especially between versions of android. For exanple, a pit file for Jellybean is different than the pit file for kitkat and the pit file for kitkat is gonna be different for Marshmallow. Word of advice... As a general rule, official Samsung rom tar's will include the pit file for major updates to software versions such as when updating from andrioid 4.4.4 to 5.0 as well as 5.0.0 to 5.1.1 as well as android 5.1.1 to 6.0.1, etc. So look for the pit files to be included in major updates to android and usually the pit files will not be included in the security patch updates to the same version of andriod for your device.
with this said, if you feel you need to repartition your phone then by all means download the most recent software version for your phone that will most likely include the appropriate pit file. Like I mentioned above, these pit files will always be included in major updates to android. OG5 includes a pit, and PC1 includes a pit. Good luck.

Hi All,
I've got Odin installed, it's working as it should, I see my T989D as "Added!!!" so I know it's connected.
Now, I'm trying to wrap my head around flashing TWRP with Odin, I believe the version of Odin I am is 1.8.5.
I've looked everywhere for instructions on flashing TWRP through Odin, but I can't find any. Nor can I find the appropriate file to flash in Odin to install TWRP, every file for TWRP is a .zip or a .img, Odin flashes .tars.
Any help is greatly appreciated, trying to recover bricked device.
Cheers!
I'm not sure if I've read anything about flashing TWRP in ODIN, but I'm sure you can follow the plentiful guides to flash CWM in ODIN. After you get a working CWM then you can flash anything else you want (including TWRP)

I think it would work if you renamed the the image to "recovery.img", compressed it in tar format, and then flashed it as PDA. I'm 99% sure it would work, unless odin needs signatures.
Someone did make an Odin flashable TWRP file. Here you go!

Hello... I recently posted a thread about a Continuous Reboot on my Tmobile Galaxy S4. I later fixed the Reboot, but still have this little problem about my TWRP not Booting up completely. I have been using TWRP since a while and it works well. It started the problem when the Reboot issue started. I have flashed the .img file with flashify and also the .tar file on Odin.. It just get stuck on the "TEAMWIN" Blue splashscreen and would not get to the Menu. I flashed CWM and it booted up... I can even flash a Zip but cannot do factory/data reset... it would restart the Device.
I really need TWRP because its mostly recommended for flashing ROMS and i need it to do a FULL wipe of my Device.
What else can i do please?
Also... would be glad if someone can point out to a .zip CWM Flashable Wipe Script... Need to get my Device FULLY WIPED!!!!

If you are sure that you have SGH-M919, and you are rooted, you can use the TWRP Manager app from the Play Store to download the most current version of TWRP and have the app install it. This is the way that I install/update TWRP on my rooted SGH-M919. I'm running Stock rooted NH7 4.4.4.
After installing TWRP Manager, go to the Install TWRP option, select your Device Name, and then select which version of TWRP to install. It will then download that version, and install it to the Recovery partition.
Rob
Flasify from the play store also works well installing recovery, I used it for my SG4.
Pp.
Thanks to all..
I have fixed it myself... I'm sure some partitions got corrupt or something.
SOLUTION
I Flashed Stock Firmware in Odin with "Erase NAND all" Checked...
I then Reflashed Stock in Odin with a PIT File and "RePartition" checked.
I flashed the same TWRP File and it booted completely!!!
:good:
*** EDIT ***
Can anyone please help with EFS Backup to restore my IMEI? I dont have a Backup and my IMEI gone Null/Null & Baseband Unknown.
Any Help?

Hi, I am in need of assistance. I have a Tab S 10.5 SM-T805 with rom XXU1ANF8
I am struggling to flash firmware for my sm-t805 using odin and stock roms downloaded from sammobile. I have tried various version of the stock roms as well as different versions of odin, but they all have the same result.
The result is either "NAND Write Start! FAIL!!" or "Setup connection.. Can't open the serial(COM) port." The order in which I do things might impact which error I receive, such as attaching the tablet first or selecting the ROM file first in PDA box.
Here is why I am desperate. Since this result was pretty consistent, I flashed TWRP successfully and wiped all the partitions, including the system partition. Now, there is no OS installed. Using TWRP I have attempted the 'Install' method of flashing ROMS, but now my error is exclusively the first type.
I read some of the other threads and attempted any advice relevant posted there. This is sort of relevant to what I am trying to do, but my system partition has been wiped. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/odin-flashes-fail-t3028264), so there is no relevance to enabling USB debugging for disabling reactivation lock. This is a guy who can do what I am trying to do. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/roms-flashing-advice-t805-t3031963)

Is activation lock off? That what causes it not to flash. The only thing I can suggest is transferring a custom zip rom and flash it with twrp. Or try another firmware from a different country.
Thanks for your response.

It was my observation that this activation lock is off by default on the stock rom. In order to turn this on, you have to register with a Samsung account.

Idk then, I guess you got to wait for another firmware that comes to your country
Just flash the Swiss Rom then after it fails, boot into download mode again then Install and boot into twrp.
Twrp will wipe the cache and auto reboot. The device should then boot normally.

Try to find a pit file and do a full repartition to restore the EFS partition. Upload the pit file to Odin as well as your stock firmware and select repartition, Auto reboot and f.reset time.

Hello everyone,
A few days ago I tried to root my A5 2017(A520F). I needed to wipe my data to be able to root my phone, but I accidently deleted my whole system. When I try to flash a original filmware with odin I get this message: Set partition(nand write). I searched for that error on the internet and people said I needed to use a pit file. So I got a pit file and tried to flash it with the filmware but that didn't help. Do I use the wrong pit with the filmware? What can I do to get my phone back to life? I have TWRP and I can get into download mode.
Thanks in advance.
