Can somebody explain relations when the watch vibrates and when not? Some time I though that it vibrates when the phone vibrates too but now I have situation when Facebook Messenger vibrates on the phone but not on the watch. I want opposite behaviour: at best, vibrate on watch but not on the phone or vibrate on both devices.
Any ideas how select this?
Thanks.
I think that this is problem of Facebook Messenger compatibility with Wear. And of course zero customization of vibration on Wear devices...
I hope that development of Android Wear will be much faster than Android for phones.

Not sure if this is an Android 4.1 and beyond problem, but with my phone on vibrate, I'm unable to disable vibration within Gmail and Facebook even though the vibration options are turned off within those apps. I'm on Android 4.3 now on my ZL.
Has anyone been able to reproduce this problem? It's pretty annoying that my phone needs to vibrate on every single notification. I'd much prefer it only vibrate on calls and sms/mms.

After much research this looks like a general problem with Android 4.2 and beyond:

Looks like the ONLY way to keep apps like Facebook and Gmail from vibrating is to make sure their notification ringtone is ALSO off.
Kind of ridiculous but it doesn't look like Google will be fixing this problem.
I've had my Moto for about a week and up to now I had no Problems. Since yesterday the notifications are not showing on my watch face. They do reach my watch but are not showing on their own. If I swipe up I can see These notifications but they don't blend into the watch face on Arrival at the watch.
Has anybody an idea. I have rebooted the watch several times.
I have the exact same problem. Does your watch vibrate when you receive texts etc.?
It does seem to vibrate but the vibrations on my watch are so quiet and weak that I mostly miss them.

Oh that's weird.
I get the notifications, but the watch won't turn on.. and it won't vibrate. I have to swipe up like you said.
do you have card previews checked off on android wear app?? if you do and still doesn't work, try resetting the watch..
Also you may have the notifications hidden try swiping up from the bottom of the watch screen to unhide them, this is what happened to me
I deinstalled android wear, deleted the Bluetooth Pairing and reset the watch. I then reinstalled AW and pair as a new wearable. Everything seems to be working now.
Hi,
I have just added a "make notifications vibration stronger" feature in last SWApp Launcher Wear version:

Hi, I had befor Sony SmartWatch. Just as usual for recieving notifications.
After android wear is here, it's a lot more than notifications
Anyhow, I am working kind of online service reply over my phone
Using all kind of social apps which bring notifications to my moto 360
Going back to Sony smart watch, I can turn off notification while phone screen is on, because I am working on the phone and it's obvious I can see the notifications from phone, so no need to vibrate and wake my watch,
But.....
Android wear making me crazy each time tens of notifications via chat and groups while am chatting, makes my watch vibration machine! I hate it.
Any apps can turn off wear notifications while phone screen is on?!
Try Theater mode, which is already built into your watch:

U can try Feel the wear free app. It very useful. I can set up my 360 watch don't viberate when the phone on (in your case) and customize the vibarte level for each app.

Any luck with the Feel the Wear app?
Hi,
I'd like to find a way to mute notifications on my watch when I use my phone (= phone screen is on). It's really annoying when I hold a conversation on Facebook Messenger and every time I receive a message my watch vibrates...
I tried Feel The Wear in a free version - I can set a behaviour, when the phone screen is on, but... it doesn't work. Well, to be precise - when e. g. I set 3 x long pattern for an app and the above option is set to "vibrate", then I'll receive notification with 3 x long and... an extra short vibrate in the meantime. When I change the option to "mute" - there are no 3 x long vibrates, but... still is the short one. I have no idea what's going on with that additional short vibrate - it's not set anywhere...
Another problem with Feel The Wear - it doesn't work with custom patterns in Wear Messages app. I just can't mute that app in any way, its vibrate pattterns override FTW settings.
I tried to use MacroDroid and enabling "do not disturb" mode when screen is on and disabling when it's off. It seemed to be the solution, but... when watch is charging, my phone doesn't vibrate (even though the "don't disturb" is off then).
I have really no idea what else I can try. Do you have any idea wtf with that extra short vibration when using FTW? Do you know if the paid version has any option that would help? Any other ideas what to do with that problem?
I have MiBand 2 also and it doesn't have such problems, it automatically mutes when phone screen is on...
PS I use SW3 with Note 4, 6.0.1.
PS2 In Android Wear app the option "mute phone when wearing watch" is enabled.
Hello
I have an issue with my Facebook Messenger notifications. I like to keep my phone in vibrate mode all the time. For the messenger application, it is really annoying because it vibrates on every message you receive. I would like to keep the notifications without the vibrations. In previous Android versions, it was possible to just turn it off. But with the latest update when I turn off vibration in the notifications settings, It still keeps vibrating. It is really annoying and I don't know how to solve it.
Thank you for your help!
Because I did not get any response on this forum and the Oneplus forum, I asked the question directly to the Oneplus support. They responded that this is a software bug in the latest update and that it will probably be solved in the next update which we can expect within 90 days (no exact date was given)
