I've had my Moto for about a week and up to now I had no Problems. Since yesterday the notifications are not showing on my watch face. They do reach my watch but are not showing on their own. If I swipe up I can see These notifications but they don't blend into the watch face on Arrival at the watch.
Has anybody an idea. I have rebooted the watch several times.
I have the exact same problem. Does your watch vibrate when you receive texts etc.?
It does seem to vibrate but the vibrations on my watch are so quiet and weak that I mostly miss them.

Oh that's weird.
I get the notifications, but the watch won't turn on.. and it won't vibrate. I have to swipe up like you said.
do you have card previews checked off on android wear app?? if you do and still doesn't work, try resetting the watch..
Also you may have the notifications hidden try swiping up from the bottom of the watch screen to unhide them, this is what happened to me
I deinstalled android wear, deleted the Bluetooth Pairing and reset the watch. I then reinstalled AW and pair as a new wearable. Everything seems to be working now.
Hi,
I have just added a "make notifications vibration stronger" feature in last SWApp Launcher Wear version:

Hey guys, I wasn't sure if this warranted it's own thread, but I think it does since there's no "Ask Any Question!" sticky like some of the big boards.
Anyway, when listening to music through Pandora, I have a persistent notification allowing me to pause/play my music from my Moto 360. Can I turn it off? Notifications are very large and block the face so I can't tell the time. Normally, I'm okay with swiping others away, but this one is persistent. I tried adding Pandora to the notification mute list in the Wear app, but that didn't work. I can mute all notifications, that's not what I'm after. Can I just turn off music control somewhere?

Go to Android Wear app on your phone, select the Cog Gears (Settings) icon on top right corner. Select first option "Mute app notifications", select Pandora or any apps you don't want notifications to be pushed to your watch. Done!

Is there a way to disable ALL notifications? I dont see a reason to get notifications on my watch when I always have my phone on me. I guess you could say I got it for an advanced watch, not another gadget to notify me of e-mail, etc

You can just pull down from the top of the watch until it vibrates and says "Mute" then you won't get any notifications until you repeat those steps to unmute it
For some reason, this trick doesn't work with tune in radio
Really?

Ummmm, you did know it was a smartwatch when you bought it? If your not using it, as a smart watch, then I don't see the point of you owning it... Just saying.

Wanting to get rid of a persistent notification that bothers him hardly puts him in the category of not using it as a smartwatch.
Even if you turned off all notifications, it's still a smart watch, it runs apps, responds to voice queries, keeps your phone unlocked, etc...

Remember during initial setup when it asked you to activate the Android Wear notification listener service? Undo that. Then it has no idea when you have a notification.

This doesn't work for Spotify either. Are there any other idea's?
Just adding my voice... it's a really annoying 'feature' of Android Wear (or Wear OS, as it now seems to be called).
I went through and I disabled every single notification (about 300 or so of them) and the media notification still appears, and doesn't time out. This is annoying because it lights up the screen which eats through my battery. Why can't it auto-hide itself LIKE EVERY OTHER NOTIFICATION?
Grrr....
Hello, Second day of ownership and I am already having an issue. The watch vibrates, I check it for a notification, nothing there. Awhile later, vibrates again, no notification. Sometimes there is a notification it got from the phone, but 90% of the time it seems to be vibrating for no reason.
I tried to wear it to bed last night but the incessant vibrations were annoying.
Even if it was vibrating when I got a notification,is there a way to tell it not to vibrate for certain hours?
Thanks

Check google fit settings. Mine use to do that but "fit" was buzzing me to get active and get moving. When I told it not to urge me to move the vibrations stopped. good luck?
I don't see Fit on the watch or on my phone? Is it hiding? I went into the watch settings and nothing there for fit? On the phone I have the Wellness app but the option to bug me to move is off so that shouldn't be it. It seems you are on the right track, but I don't know how to find the app?
Thanks

Did you try resetting the watch back to default?
Wellness, just like fit, has a "Remind me to move" feature that will send vibrations. Also, if you have it set to remind you when you forget your phone it will vibrate without any message when it loses connection.

I am no longer receiving text message or email notifications on my watch. It doesn't buzz/vibrate. When I check the cards, the messages are there, the watch just isn't vibrating to let me know. I've restarted the watch, and resynced applications, and then restarted the watch after I re-synced apps, still nada. I've tested sitting still at my desk, so it isn't that I'm not feeling the buzz, it just isn't buzzing. It is vibrating for phone calls though. Suggestions?

Instead of restarting watch, I would unpair watch (bluetooth) & then factory reset the watch
Thanks, I tried doing a factory reset twice now. But I didn't unpair it first. I did uninstall all my android wear apps, or a I thought I did... but after the factory reset, some of apps came back, a timer and stopwatch. But they don't have companion apps on the phone, so I'm not sure how to uninstall them. But, the problem persists. I did discover that, at least at this point, it is only when the phone is in vibrate or silent mode. If the phone is on regular mode, then I do get the text notifications. Once I put it on vibrate, thaen I stop getting the notifications.

OK, I figured out how to uninstall the apps, which I did, unpaired it, did a factory reset, started all over from scratch, to no avail. Still not getting text message notifications... actually, the text messages come through, just no vibration to alert me. Same with emails, I get the emails, but no vibration. Oddly, I do get my Gmail emails with vibration alert. But no vibration alert for the non-gmail emails. This is not a good thing.. one th the things I liked most about the watch was to know when text emails came through and quickly check if it was something that needed prompt attention.

Well, not sure what changed, but texts and mail vibrations are working again.. thankfully... the only thing I can think of on the texts was that I switched over to hangouts on my phone. That didn't work too well, but the vibration notifications were working, then I switched back to the built in application. But, at least its working..

Not exactly a solution that gets at the root of the problem, but have you tried a third party notification app? Something like Feel the Wear? I believe that overrides the default vibration settings completely. I say that because the app needs its own "quiet time" setting and/or manual mute from your phone. Simply muting the watch via the pulldown menu won't stop the vibrations from the app.
So if you're still having issues using your preferred apps and getting alerts, perhaps give that a try?
THanks for the suggestion, will check it out...
I have the same issue. Tried everything it will not give me alerts to email or text messages. Wish I could figure this out...
A couple of things to try, change your messaging to hangouts (or other app), and see if you start getting notifications. When I switched to hangouts, I started getting the text message alerts. Then, when I switched back to the default app on my phone, the alerts (vibrations) continued. I had also gone into settings on the phone, I think it was under sound-notifications ... there was something in there that had email notifications turned off. I hadn't touched those settings, so I don't know how it got changed, but I recall there was something that seemed incorrect. I don't know if that was part of the problem or not...

I had a similar problem with my watch but only with vibrating. I figured out my problem was that if your phone doesn't vibrate, your watch won't vibrate. It actually mirrors the vibrate including custom vibration.
I have just hit the same problem, any solution guys? I get phone call notifications but nothing else no email or text message notifications...
Same problem... I get cards but no vibration. New watch. Motor vibrates when powering on.
Whatsapp & SMS notifcations not working on Huawei Watch
Any clue guys on how to fix this, since last 2-3 weeks I have stopped getting just SMS & whatsapp notifications on my Huawei watch, everything else is working just fine....I reset my watch, restarted it and unpaired as well.

hi.i have the same problem with my alcatel smartwatch and redmi note 3 pro.one day it warks but i dident know how i done it.i try everything.
Hi, I had befor Sony SmartWatch. Just as usual for recieving notifications.
After android wear is here, it's a lot more than notifications
Anyhow, I am working kind of online service reply over my phone
Using all kind of social apps which bring notifications to my moto 360
Going back to Sony smart watch, I can turn off notification while phone screen is on, because I am working on the phone and it's obvious I can see the notifications from phone, so no need to vibrate and wake my watch,
But.....
Android wear making me crazy each time tens of notifications via chat and groups while am chatting, makes my watch vibration machine! I hate it.
Any apps can turn off wear notifications while phone screen is on?!
Try Theater mode, which is already built into your watch:

U can try Feel the wear free app. It very useful. I can set up my 360 watch don't viberate when the phone on (in your case) and customize the vibarte level for each app.

Any luck with the Feel the Wear app?
I read on the Huawei watch help site that, in order to silence the watch, the phone must also be silenced. I've turned off all vibration for notifications on my phone ("Do Not Disturb" mode PLUS ensuring settings are set to silent/no vibration), but continue to get vibrations for notifications. It seems as though there is no way to set the watch to silent through the android wear app OR via the phone.
Please help! I have to take my watch off for meetings because it is irritating to other staff, defeating the purpose of having the watch. Thank you.

On the watch;
Swipe down from the top.
You will see Do not disturb.
Touch it.
You will not get any more notifications from the watch until you do the above again.

Thank you for your response. I'm familiar with the "Do Not Disturb" setting accessed via the watch as you described. However, despite it being on "Complete Silence", it is still vibrating for notifications. I've tried tapping the "Do Not Disturb" icon to switch to the other setting (thinking that, perhaps, I had been mistaken), but I can see that it is definitely on "Complete Silence", (meaning that is is silent even for alarms, as I'm sure you know). It really is quite bizarre.
