Hi guys, ive just got my fone back from Vodafone it's replacment completely stock on 4.4.4. with hboot 3.19.0.000 at the top it says "software status official" if i root ur put a custom recovery in is there a way to go back to "software status official"
well mine's rooted, BL unlocked, S-off'd and still has Software Status Official

Hello, i have unlocked bootloader of my HTC One X with CID _032.
I have tried one Custom Rom with JellyBean and after i have returned on custom ICS Rom.
Now, when i try to upgrade phone with official OTA upgrade, the phone stuck on fastboot screen.
Bootloader is relocked.
Any idea to upgrade the phone with official OTA upgrade?
1) you need to be on a stock ROM to apply the upgrade (it won't work if you're on a custom ICS ROM as it sounds like you are).
2) you need to be on a stock recovery to apply the upgrade (it won't work if you're on cwm/twrp as it sounds like you might be).
There's plenty of "how to return to stock" threads around if either of the above apply.

What is the problem?

The "bootloader relocked security warning" message is normal, it will always show that when the bootloader has been unlocked then locked again. That's nothing to worry about.
You are running a stock ROM yes?

I'm from India & i'm totally unaware of how to root or unlock android phones(HTC ONE M8) but recently my collegeue got my phone unlocked and rooted, I did not receive OTA for lollipop till date, I want to relock and unroot my device to get proper OTA updates, please help!
My phone was unlocked using Hasoon's toolkit and tried to unroot my device with the same toolkit but i couldnt find my version main number, i'm strucked since i'm a beginner, kindly help me get back my device back to stock form, by the way how to find whether my device has custom recovery or stock recovery??
Current status when i open bootloader :

***Relocked***
M8_UL PVT SHIP S-ON
Please someone help me on this, please adjust that i dont know anything on this.

First off, if you don't understand how to root the phone, you shouldn't have a rooted phone. I firmly believe this. Rooting the phone isn't that hard, and if you aren't willing to put in the time and effort to learn about how to root it, its probably dangerous for you to have the phone rooted.
You are unfortunately now in the spot where you will have to learn a lot just to get the phone back to a stock condition.
Do you know what version of the phone you have (carrier or region?)? What hboot number?
If you select recovery in bootloader, and a red triangle (or green circle if an update is loading, but likely red triangle) with exclamation point is shown, that is stock recovery. Anything else is custom recovery.

When i clicked recovery on bootloader it showed "Security Warning" so i did not proceeed further.
What to do next, please help
after i unrooted my phone and flash stock rom and then update my phone to lolipop
i entered to boatlooder mode and find tha i have Unlocked phone and Software status Modified
how i can get rid of all that and back to locked phone and remove that sentence ?
You'd have to purchase S-OFF.

my HTC 10 has CID 034. I kept S-ON, unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP, then LineageOS 14.1.
Then I wanted to revert back to stock. I tried several things, among them I think I downloaded file from this thread - RUU Zip (Stock Signed) - 1.90.401.5 and tried flashing with "fastboot oem rebootRUU" + "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip", but received errors and gave up. Now I think it was lower version (1.90.401.5) then I should have tried to flash (in download mode I saw 2.41.401.4).
Later I found official RUU.exe in this thread, flashing goes without problems, but when I reboot to bootloader, it still shows "System status: Modified".
Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do to return to status "Official" ?

Read this. S-off should clear system status. RUU could never do that on HTC phones
