Change voice command? - Sony Smartwatch 3

Is there a way to change the keyword to launch the voice commands instead of "OK Google"? I want to be able to chose my own keyword.

Actually you can. There is an app called Open Mic+ on the Play Store that can do this.

It was my understanding that Google removed support for the Open Mic+?? Has anyone done this and had it work? I'd change mine to K.I.T.T. in a nanosecond if i can.

The app still works but Google removed their voice engine so the app uses a different engine now.

[Q] Voice Actions on Desire?

I just read about this functionality on http://pocketnow.com/android/google-voice-actions-gives-you-more-voice-commands-for-android. But I do not seem to find it in the market. Anyone knows where to get voice actions?
I tried getting it from here http://www.google.com/mobile/voice-actions/index.html but the market said that there is no such thing.

Thanks for the link, but "The request item could not be found" said the market.
Make sure you have 2.2 then click on one of your Google apps in the market and check out their other apps and install voice search and Google search and you should be fine

I don't have "Google voice " as an input option under Settings-> language & input.
I added a new keyboard (Go keyboard" ) and the mic is there and i was able to use it. So i assume that the ICS Keyboard is broken.
Here are the more details:
the keyboard that is included in JMT9 by default is "ICS Keyboard v 2.0.1" and i could not get the mic to show up on it.
The GO keyboard has the mic and it's working fine.
the "ICS keyboard " by johntanmi ( free version ) has the mic but it's not working.
GO keyboard is a bit too much for me . looking for something more streamlined. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Don't know if this will do what you want, but it's worth a shot.
Bring up google now, hit menu and select Phone Search
Uncheck People
This -should- keep google now from bringing up your contacts, but I haven't tried it so I don't know for sure.
Good luck!

Yeah tried that it doesn't stop the voice dial when you push the Bluetooth button... all previous builds would let you choose a default action for that button but gnow just takes over no matter what.... i wish there was a way to choose the default...

Perhaps you could delete Google search from your current rom, then extract Google search from an ics rom and install it

google voice

Just wondering if anyone has used Google voice for voicemail alone while running imperium. The guide I saw for setting it up said there was an option to choose Google voice instead of my carrier but I can't seem to find that option. Thanks

I also could not find the option to choose Google Voice instead of My Carrier. All that does is change the number that is dialed when you long press the "1". I was able to change it easily with my Nexus S 4G but cannot locate where to change it on my LGOG. I am not rooted and compltely running stock. Thanks! :good:

Visual voicemail

Howdy,
I just switched to T-Mobile today with a new G3 and ported over from Verizon.
I am having a problem getting the visual voicemail to work. when I try to use it, I get a unable to communicate with server error. This was happening on my wife's LG G3 too, I setup my regular voicemail just fine.
Anyone else having this problem? Or do you think it could be something to do with the porting process (everything seems to have ported fine)
Or any other suggestions (besides resetting my phone, I will try that last, but would like to not have to set up everything again)
Thanks!
Use Google voice way better

How are you using google voice? On my handset, I have it all set up as I should, but the "Voicemail Provider" option within call settings is greyed out, I cannot change that to google voice.

Keyword there is "showing."
It's Google Voice. Call your phone from a different phone to confirm and you should hear your Google Voice greeting.

You can also call T-Mobile and have them do the following:
--Disable Voicemail on your line
--Setup the forwarding number to be your Google Voice number
You can also setup the forwarding yourself the be the Google Voice number. After doing this, even if I don't install GV after a flash, the calls still go to GV voicemail and whatnot.
