Error #9, try different exploit
I had tried rooting Xolo Q1010i with Framaroot 1.9.3 and 1.9.1. Both have failed to give root access.
Error is 'Error #9, try different exploit'. I tried all 3 options in the menu e.g. Barahir etc.
Please suggest which version should I use? Note that, I have downloaded framaroot above mentioned version from different web site and not from framaroot.net.
Do I need to download from framaroot.net only? Please suggest how can I root.

go back to kk version Soo2 or S005 and try
Sent from my Q1010i using XDA Free mobile app

framaroot works for jb(4.3) only
to root 4.4 you have to flash the su from the recovery (custom recovery)
for more details try this

do not try to root with any frameroot app you will fail ,first you have to install custom recovery then try to root,if it will also fail then you have to flash your stock rom by sp flash tool and install new stock rom of xolo after that install custom recovery which is carliv recovery for xolo q1010i only. you will succeed :good::good:

After success flashing CF-Auto-Root you have to update SuperSU
Download update SuperSU here.
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Flash via custom recovery.
Then launch SuperSU app to disable KNOX notification.

Hi.
Mobile Odin can flash only stock recovery if you already have full stock rom.
Download Mobile Odin lite and install.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2719771&d=1398965576
Download and install a "FlashKernel" manually if you are using the Lite version.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42715812&postcount=8
Lunch Mobile Odin
Click "Recovery" tab then choose your 4.4.2 full stock rom .tar.md5
Click "Flash firmware" tab and you can skip md5 signatures checking.

But now I have another issue. Odin doesn't install stock rom on my device. My device is N5105 and I suspect that the bootloader doesn't allow installing N5100 rom. Any way to solve this ?

It worked for me... I'm using E988 UAE firmware.
Method:
From 4.4.2 I downgraded to 4.1.2 and then I ROOTED and installed FreeGee TWRP recovery,
then installed Flashify and flashed the IMG.
I also tried the flashable zip but I keep getting "certification verify" on boot and finally, I decided to try the Flashify thingy..
After all day screwing my phone, softbricked it like 5 times, now its working with cm 11 installed and twrp 2.8.1.0
Thanks,

I see. I read too, lots of softbrick experiences.
When u say "Installing the G Pro recovery", do u mean that? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt...ecovery-boot-unlock-install-recovery-t3054295
Do u know about this new procedure that should make recovery work, even with Stock KK 4.4? Does it work?
Thank you!

OK, so I have the ATT V410 tablet, still in factory form. I've been wanting to do more with this and have been doing a lot of research on acquiring root. I would like to install the Skinny ROM onto it and was thinking this might be my solution for root as I don't currently have access to a PC to perform with Purpledrake. So, of course I went through the process of trying to install TWRP first but was unable because Flashify requires root to begin with. So it appears that I'm back to square 1 here... or am I? What I'd like to know is if I can do all this WITHOUT first acquiring Root via Purpledrake and a PC....?

V410 = u4310
I just got a UK410 and I have it rooted with DP Tools and installed TWRP bumped.
My question is: do the V410 rom threads pertain also to the UK410? Can I use a rom for the V410 in the UK410 since they are the same except for carrier. I am not using the LTE phone functions, just as a tablet. When I purchased the UK410, it was listed as WIFI only, which led me to believe it was a V400, but they sent a UK410.
LG 410 stock with functional Stock Lollipop update
Hey there I have finally found a solution to this problem. XDA will not allow me to create a new thread to post it but if you still need it let me know. Basically you will be installing the rooted stock 410 found here on xda, then installing a stock recovery image using simple recovery, and then running ota update. You do loose root on the lollipop update. I have the necessary files and a step by step if you need them.

Installing CyanogenMod on AndroidOne

I have a Micromax Canvas A1, an AndroidOne device running Lollipop 5.1.1.
I have never rooted a phone before but do have an idea about it.... I need help as to how to flash CyanogenMod on my device. I found the download file but the CyanogenMod installer does not support my device; and what is the difference between sprout4 and sprout8 ?
What is TWRP and ClockworkMod?
I want install CyanogenMod do I need to root first? I don't know anything about flashing recoveries
.... if someone could please help...
First of all root your device... After rooting successfully instal cwm or twrp or philz recovery in your device and then go to recovery mode and flash the cyanogen mod rom files...but be careful to have a search with the terms that is unknown to you because anything that is performed wrongly can be very harmful for your device and it may cause damage and result into hardbrick....

rooted and installed a CM 12.1 nightly ....
Please anyone help me with how I am going to root my androidone phone I have never rooted any one before
Rooting, no problem!!!
If you are totally noob, then yu should download and install android one toolkit from the given link
http://www.mediafire.com/download/l8590x9kj779gan/Android_One_Toolkit_Update_1.2.1.exe
But you should have .NET FRAMEWORK 4.0 or above than that if you don't have it just take it from given link
http://www.freewarefiles.com/downloads_counter.php?programid=55008
After downloading and installing above applications you just open the android one toolkit, then click on ROOT button given on Rooting section.
https://www.google.co.in/imgres?img...wxLCI4ONNM&ei=Hbh7VujBDafgmAXxp7-wBg&tbm=isch
see the above picture
then yur mobile will be rooted and after that yu just flash the custom recovery like twrp, philz or cwm.
After all these procedures your mobile will be ROOTED and you are free to install any custom rom, custom kernel or many tweaks
GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR JOURNEY FROM A NOOB TO A GEEK.
:good::good::good:
If you don't have any comuter or laptop then you should try kingoroot or any one click root applications like kingroot, towel root etc. but personally i don't suggest it for MM cuz it dont work on it...:cyclops:
