well hello everyone. i have rooted my lava iris n400. can i update it to jellybean? please tell how to do it? stock is ics. where can i get custom roms for it? i have searched but couldnt find. please also tell how to install themes to it without using any launcher. i have installed rom manager. in that in download section there is showing google add on aosp what are these?

Use Kingo root tool kit its will be an easy and safe way for you to root your phone without any risk, but remember to follow the instruction thoreauly

lava n400 system backups and stuck or custom rom
i have unknowingly damaged my system recovery.
Whenever i try to go into recovery i am stuck on lava logo.
Can anyone post the system backups Or stock ROM Or Custom ROM....
Any links would be helpful too.

i rooted my Lava N400 using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18. Initially i tried with my apps installed in my phone. After failing many times i did a factory reset and proceed with all the instruction given here. So i believe as a new phone super user will get installed .

After the kitkat update of Xolo q1010i the viper4android is being failed to get installed. Does anyone having the same issue? Anyone got a fix? Plz help.. I tried it on other custom kitkat ROMs.. Still its not being installed.. Device is rooted as well as busybox is installed.

Yeah I had that same problem of viper4a not getting installed even though busy box was installed. I thought it was the problem with my device only.

Hey bro..!! Same thing happened with me and i tried every workaround(flashing differnt kitkat custom Rom's) untill i figured out it was problem with rooting..!! If u have installed pre SU'ed. ROM, you will be getting the same error.. The only solution is to use kinguser.. Download kingroot and tap on the gree circle( do it if ur phone is already rooted). Then click on the blue circle which will install kinguser app... Now you are properly rooted... Now try installing viper4android..

Hi all...... I have just got a breif question maybe there is no root out yet for 5.0.1 or I am just being stupid but i had 4.4 rooted and updated to 5.0.1 lollipop i do have a custom recovery being twrp, however i cannot install the binary i get ......
There is no binary installed and supersu cannot install it. This is a problem !
if you just upgraded to android 5.0 you need to manually re~root consult the relevnt forums...
i have tried uninstalling super su but it wont uninstall as im not rooted... i have tried manually installing the supersu binary.zip from sd card
and tried installing a different supersu nothing will work any ideas people

Which TWRP did you use?
I flashed 2.7.0.1 but when i try to boot to recovery I get the white screen with the red warning at the bottom, and "booting into recovery" in pink at the top, but then it fails and reboots to normal system.

Rooted my M8 with S-ON and bootloader unlocked.
I installed first openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.3
Then entered recovery mode to install SuperSU (latest version)
worked fine.
Did have a WiFi issue, no sure why, but after factory reset problem was solved.
Didi have also the facebook messenger lag problem when in app sound was active.
I just went back to 4.4.3 in the end and installed the viperone Rom and have to say i am impressed

You may want to download a root checker app to verify. If it wasn't root properly, I would re-download the SuperSU zip and install it once more.

tried root checker, i got this message : (( Congrats, root access is properly installed on this device )) in green color.
so my device is rooted, why i still can't gain access to that app ( xmodgames ) i used to gain access when on 4.4.4
did any body tried this app on 5.0.1 ???

My guess is the given app is not compatible with Lollipop.
Try a couple other apps that require root access; e.g., root file explorer.

mmmm, maybe you are right, coz checker is ok, other some apps needs root works fine, like root explorer, aptoide, busybox, but xmodgames

Root access working on Lollipop for me. Installed latest TWRP and downloaded Chainfire SU to internal memory. Flashed the zip through the recovery and restarted.
try any version of su over 2.4

i tried super user 2.4 and didn't work, it is installed,yes, but not functioning.
did you try an app need root access ?
if so, please help me out with the links for TWRP and SUPER SU, or version no.

I tried full unrooting method from supersu app its not working after restarting I m having root access with supersu installed.

But I want to know where I can get stock rom file and how to flash it guide.

After doing full unroot when I restart the phone supersu comes back and I also have root access
Also How to uninstall busybox..?
Even tell me if I back up my stock rom from my mobile itself will it backup apps also..

Perhaps Your ROM is Modified Or Using Custom Rom
Also You're Using Rooted ROM
Anytime You Restore That Backup SU is activated
So You Should Able To Reblock Your Device Again
And Using Original RUU.exe ROM

First of all root your device... After rooting successfully instal cwm or twrp or philz recovery in your device and then go to recovery mode and flash the cyanogen mod rom files...but be careful to have a search with the terms that is unknown to you because anything that is performed wrongly can be very harmful for your device and it may cause damage and result into hardbrick....

If you don't have any comuter or laptop then you should try kingoroot or any one click root applications like kingroot, towel root etc. but personally i don't suggest it for MM cuz it dont work on it...:cyclops:
