[Q] moto 360 dissconeting wifi and data on moto G - Moto 360

Hi this is my 1st post here. I've been searching for answers for this but not sure if others are having the same problem.
Here's the story :
Last week I brought a moto 360 and paired it with my moto g (1st gen 16gb) Everything worked perfectly for a few days I loved it. However one day I noticed I wasn't on the wifi anymore. When I checked into it more I was connection n then been disconnected also the data on my phone stopped working when wifi was off. I still get emails and twitter notiftions however i can't load old emails and my twitter feed, all data stops working randomly. While doing some trouble shooting I noticed that if I disconnect my moto 360 from my phone the data and wifi work as normal. I've reset the moto 360 a number of times. I went back to the shop I got it from and they said it could have been an update gone wrong. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution.
Thanks for reading

Failure in remider setting and connection problem

It seems that my 360 constantly get connectivity issues, It disconnects from my g2 for no reasons. Plus, when I tried to set a reminder, it always says try again on phone. This is very annoying and makes the experience bad. anyone going through the same problems?

In a week with the LG G Watch I saw that "try again on phone" message once. I've had the Moto 360 for a few days and haven't seen it yet. It's probably either a bluetooth issue or android wear issue in general.

Connection Problems

Does anyone have problems with the connection being stable? Or do I have a faulty device? When I'm out, my connection sometimes seem to be okay, but when I arrive home, that's when the connection doesn't work. I've tried restoring back to factory several times with rebooting of the phone several times as well with no luck.
I'm running Android Wear 1.3.0.2176821, Google Play Services 8.1.20 (2283517-534), and Android 5.1.1 on my watch.
On my phone, I have a OnePlus One running CM12S (5.1.1), Android Wear 1.3.0.2284253, and Google Play Services 8.1.15 (2250126-238)
Any help or ideas how to fix? Thanks.
Can't help you with a fix, but I can say that I have had no connection problems. I assume you are talking about bluetooth connection from watch to phone, not a wifi connection problem?

Yes, I am having problems with bluetooth connection. When I open the Android Wear app on my phone, it is constantly saying "Trying to connect..." =(
I would assume that the watches are the same as far as the software goes. I don't know what one plus one is, but my phone info is below. I took mine back because of HRM problems, the replacement works much better. I'd say to just take it back as defective and get a replacement....
On my Phone:
Android 5.01,
Android Wear 1.3.0.2250989
Play Services 8.1.15

I have a Oneplus One and it connects to my watch using BT just fine. The only time it has problem is when I put some distance between my phone and my watch (ie walk outside without my phone), it sometimes can't reconnect. Turning BT off and then back on the phone usually fix it. Now I leave WiFi on so as long as the phone and watch are within the same wireless environment, they wouldn't disconnect

Thanks! I've actually tried that too, and for some reason, it works fine at work. But when I'm home or somewhere else, the watch just has a hard-to-impossible time to connect back to my phone. Even at home, the wi-fi is so spotty with it that it constantly disconnects. I ended up just returning it and waiting for them to order it again. I hope my next one works better!
I've observed the same problem as OP, with the same mismatching versions on the phone and watch for Android Wear and Google Play Services [except Google Play Services that's at 8.1.15 (2250156230) on my Nexus 6, which runs latest factory 5.1.1].
Have needed to reboot the phone to sort it out. Also, a card appeared on the watch, telling me I had to install the Google Play Services on the phone, as the watch though it wasn't.
Similar problem
Hey, a similar problem here, I changed my ROM from Resurrection Remix to lineage OS (both on 7.1) and when I did it, my Android Wear app does not recognize my huawei watch, I went back to Resurrection but when I connected the watch, it did not received the notifications, then I updated manually to A.Wear 2.0 and the problem is the same, but now I can’t even connect to other smartphones, I do not know what it happened.
Have an OPO

wifi keeps disconnecting on nougat

Anyone facing this issue
Does anyone know any fix
Yes mines the same, wifi works fine for a short amount of time then disconnects, after it cuts out goto wifi settings and all I see is scanning and no wifi devices. only way I can get wifi working again is a reboot but then I get disconnecting again after short period of time!
EDIT: I would just like to add until I updated to nougat yesterday I've never experienced this issue and I did a master reset straight after installing nougat.
I am having this same problem. Any fix for this?
Same thing here. It happened to me after the first night. I thought maybe something was corrupted after the upgrade, so I did a full factory reset yesterday morning. Everything worked fine until I got up this morning. Looks like something over the course of the night causes this to start.
Things I've tried without success:
- factory reset
- rebooting
- removing and re-adding wifi network
- tested all other devices in the house (no other device is having an issue)
- tried both 2.4 and 5ghz networks (issue is affecting both)
UPDATE: After a few hours, I turned wifi back on yesterday, and it's been working fine since. I made no changes to the phone.
Faced same problem with developer preview
Before the official release of Android 7.0 I installed two Android beta preview, 3 and 5, and had the same issue I uninstalled the previews and had no problems with version 6.1. I hoped that this would be fixed with the official version but It wasn't, Im still facing the same problems with wifi disconnecting.
Edit: When I had the previews the only way that the phone would seem to remain connected was to go into the router options and change the client lease time. I never fully tested this because I uninstalled the previews within a couple of days. I guess I'm going to have to test it this time.

Maybe this thread could help you guys, didn't try, and as it is for nexus 5, do every operation carefully.
Flashed back to 6 as the WiFi issue was unbearable, working perfectly fine again now. I was also getting major battery drain on 7.0.
Hi
I found a strange solution working for me. I had bluetooth disabled, since I have enabled bluetooth today, 5 GHz connection is stable - Pls test it and update. And pls don't ask me, why these two protocols are in any way related...

Didn't work for me.
This problem had disappeared for weeks and then started rearing its head again yesterday although I had made no changes to my phone. For the record, it's happening on both frequencies for me.
Last time, the issue magically disappeared. After it didn't go away over night, I restarted my router this morning, and now it's working fine.
To clarify, I don't think it's router related, though. I have an R7000 that's working perfectly with all other phones and other devices in the house. It's the same router the 5x was connected to before Nougat started causing these issues.
Apparantly 7.1 solves the issue

Moto Z Play WiFi

I know there are many topics on this issue. I just received a new Moto Z Play from Amazon this week and it came with 6.0.1. I went through several updates and now am up to 7.1.1.
I have gone through all of the various suggestions for fixing WiFi but I am still having WiFi issues. I will connect at various times and work for awhile, it will disconnect and not work at times, it will say it's connected yet no data will work. It's very frustrating and I'm wondering if there is a newer, better solution to this without sending the phone in for service. Has anyone had any luck recently with fixing the issue? Most threads are from a year or so ago.
I appreciate any help as I want to try this phone and I want to like this phone but WiFi not working is not acceptable for any phone.

Have you done a factory reset with the 7.1.1 version? If not try that and let us know if it helped.
Yes, I did a factory reset last night after I had done all of the updates to get to 7.1.1.

Does anybody else have problems with S9 VoWiFi?

I live in a bunker, sort of, so I really need VoWiFi. But so far (I got the phone yesterda) it only works for 20-30 seconds, and then the other party in the conversation can't hear what I'm saying. Has anybody else had problems with this? My network should not be he problem because I used my Sony Xperia X Performance (which went out of use yesterday) on it until yesterday, and I have never had any problems with that. My wife's previous S6 worked as well, and her current Motorola G6 Plus works on it. What should I look for, in the phone or the network? I have the phone set to "perfer wifi", of course.
I wonder if this is a problem with WiFi stability? I have tried to reset network settings, but that didn't seem to help.
Tested now with three networks in my house, guest, regular and appartment two, and with the cell network off, so I know the problem isn't in unwaranted switching between them. It only takes 5-10 seconds before my voice dissappears for the person in the other end, and then the call is broken after around 20-30 seconds. Something's seriously wrong here!
Seems to be a general Samsung thing. My son's S7 Edge has exactly the same symptoms on my wifi! I have changed some things in the network since my wife used her S6, so maybe that wouldn't work now. But my Sony Xperia X Performance and her Motorola G6 Plus worrks without a hitch. Is there a known difference in the implementation between those and Samsung, perhaps some ports I need to open?
Turned out to be my DSL router. It didn't work in bridge mode, but putting the router in router mode fixed it. Weird...
