Does anyone have problems with the connection being stable? Or do I have a faulty device? When I'm out, my connection sometimes seem to be okay, but when I arrive home, that's when the connection doesn't work. I've tried restoring back to factory several times with rebooting of the phone several times as well with no luck.
I'm running Android Wear 1.3.0.2176821, Google Play Services 8.1.20 (2283517-534), and Android 5.1.1 on my watch.
On my phone, I have a OnePlus One running CM12S (5.1.1), Android Wear 1.3.0.2284253, and Google Play Services 8.1.15 (2250126-238)
Any help or ideas how to fix? Thanks.
Can't help you with a fix, but I can say that I have had no connection problems. I assume you are talking about bluetooth connection from watch to phone, not a wifi connection problem?

Yes, I am having problems with bluetooth connection. When I open the Android Wear app on my phone, it is constantly saying "Trying to connect..." =(
I would assume that the watches are the same as far as the software goes. I don't know what one plus one is, but my phone info is below. I took mine back because of HRM problems, the replacement works much better. I'd say to just take it back as defective and get a replacement....
On my Phone:
Android 5.01,
Android Wear 1.3.0.2250989
Play Services 8.1.15

I have a Oneplus One and it connects to my watch using BT just fine. The only time it has problem is when I put some distance between my phone and my watch (ie walk outside without my phone), it sometimes can't reconnect. Turning BT off and then back on the phone usually fix it. Now I leave WiFi on so as long as the phone and watch are within the same wireless environment, they wouldn't disconnect

Thanks! I've actually tried that too, and for some reason, it works fine at work. But when I'm home or somewhere else, the watch just has a hard-to-impossible time to connect back to my phone. Even at home, the wi-fi is so spotty with it that it constantly disconnects. I ended up just returning it and waiting for them to order it again. I hope my next one works better!
I've observed the same problem as OP, with the same mismatching versions on the phone and watch for Android Wear and Google Play Services [except Google Play Services that's at 8.1.15 (2250156230) on my Nexus 6, which runs latest factory 5.1.1].
Have needed to reboot the phone to sort it out. Also, a card appeared on the watch, telling me I had to install the Google Play Services on the phone, as the watch though it wasn't.
Similar problem
Hey, a similar problem here, I changed my ROM from Resurrection Remix to lineage OS (both on 7.1) and when I did it, my Android Wear app does not recognize my huawei watch, I went back to Resurrection but when I connected the watch, it did not received the notifications, then I updated manually to A.Wear 2.0 and the problem is the same, but now I can’t even connect to other smartphones, I do not know what it happened.

Has anyone else experience their WIFI connection almost completely stop working? For the last few days either I get no connectivity at all or very slow, but every now and then for a few minutes it will run at normal speeds.
I'm stock, rooted, no custom recovery or 2nd bootloader. I've rebooted the kindle and my router multiple times. I've done a full factory reset on the Kindle. None of that helped. There's 3 laptops, 2 other tablets, and 2 phone all running fine on the WIFI so I don't think it's the router.
If anyone has any suggestions. I'd appreciate it.
Have you done any other modifications other than rooting?

I've got the google services installed to get the Play Store working, and installed NOVA launcher. I think that's all.
Well, I thought it may be something with the drivers gone funny, so I finally got around to getting 2nd bootloader and recovery going. I tried CM10, I tried Hashcode's stock ROM, and I tried the full restore from the KFHD First Aide tool. All the same results. I'll get intermittent bursts of full speed, but for the most part every web page, market request or attempt to stream something times out.
When I look at the WIFI settings in the kindle, it pretty consistently says 39Mb link speed. My phone is connecting at 26Mps, but everything works no problem as do all the other devices.
I know I'm heading into O/T territory, but does anyone know what Router Settings to check for that may be limiting just one device? Failing that I'm going to have to return to stock and see if I can get some help from Amazon.
Thanks in advance!
I'm also having some wifi issues like you. Mine's 8.4.3, rooted, with google play store and a few other things. Like you, all my wireless settings seem to be ok, several other devices use the wifi without any problems. And like you, I've had CM 10.1 installed in the past and I'm back on the stock Amazon rom.
One hunch that I had yesterday was the following: I bought a cover for my Kindle that can cover the back and front of the kindle. When I use it normally, I fold the front cover around to the back of the device, meaning there's a double cover on the back when in use. I thought to myself, maybe the cover is blocking the wifi signal or something... I then tried changing the cover to "kickstand" mode, so that it wasn't against the back of the device. It seemed to help, but I still need to do more testing.
If you have a cover then maybe try taking it off and testing the wifi. If not then I'm out of ideas, but I'm not sure how it could be a software problem, since you've tried different ROMs with the same results.
Apparently, after a quick google search, it looks like a lot of people are having wifi problems with the kindle fire HD. Perhaps the following thread will help: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210002. It mentions changing some router settings. I'll try it on mine when I get home.
Make sure that QoS is disabled on your router.

Thanks for the suggestions. No help unfortunately.
I need to get somewhere I can try connecting to a different router. If that's still unusable, I think it's time for the service call.
Hi all - I just got my 360 - paired it with my G3 with no problems - and then a screen comes up that just says ... you guessed it ... "Something went wrong. Try again?" with a green check button and a gray x button. Hitting either one does the same thing - says "downloading" then after a random wait from betten 1-10 seconds puts up the same error. I've disconnected and reconnected. Reset the watch. Its got 90%+ charge.
Probably the watch. I have a G3 as well with my M360 and have never had a connectivity issue. Have you tried to install any apps for the watch? If so, maybe its the app. If not, return it for another if you can.
Hi, i had the same issue and i solve the problem doing this:
First of all i live in asia ( i don't think this problem afflict also the watch in us )
the only problem i got is the first update, it won't connect to internet, i just use a us vpn on my phone and it started to download the update, once it was installed everything start to work smoothly. so the problem might be the access point where your phone is connect at.
i hope you can fix your problem too

Anyone experiencing wonky or unstable WiFi connection? Sometimes it disconnects by itself or it's connected but yet can't open anything. I've been frustrated to no end by this, I've been downloading like probably 14 GB of game data today just because it can't keep a stable connection to Google Play Store. Is it because of the firmware? I'm still in .147, don't wanna upgrade to .157 yet. Also it seems like the WiFi is so weak compared to other devices even some my sister's mid-range Samsung phones. Seriously, isn't this a flagship device??
Could be the Play store, your router or your ISP, and quite often it turns out to be one of those 3,

Had WiFi dropouts on every LG ROM on this device.
It would drop on any WiFi network I tried. My old phone and all other devices have no issues at all.
Bit the bullet and unlocked bootloader and went to CM13, rock solid WiFi now. IMO LG's software is borked.

Right now there is only one way: LG Developer program.
I think that is problem with 6.0
My network is ipv4 and i think phone force ipv6. In developer options have option to use lollipop settings but i think that is not doing any better
There was an issue with Verizon 12B that was recalled with similar issues.
Never had Wi-Fi issues otherwise. It was patched in 13B

Same with me on 20a... wifi connects but there's no internet connectivity. Then it comes good for a while but eventually drops the wifi connection completely. Sometimes it forgets the wifi password and I have to re-enter it. Makes the phone essentially useless on wifi. A factory reset seems to be the next step unless anyone has any other suggestions?
Same problem on 20b
The WiFi problem seems to have settled down for me now. I went on a binge of uninstalling and reinstalling apps, cleared all app caches, rebooted several times, and recited some incantations (mostly beginning with f). I haven't spent a lot of time using it on WiFi but it seems a lot more stable. Will keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
I came back to a stock based ROM from CM13 because the lack of camera functionality and all my WiFi dropouts are back again. This is really disappointing with this phone as it is completely random and none of my other phones/devices have ever had problems like this. End of my tether with it to be honest, this phone will be going on eBay at this rate.
Well I've been running catlog tonight and it didn't take long for the WiFi to blip.
If there are any catlog experts out there I would really appreciate it if anyone could have a look to see if there is any indication of what is causing this random disconnection and then reconnect shortly afterwards
Many thanks in advance.
Sorry, can't help with the catlog. But having same problems.
I did 3 hard-resets with always the same result: wifi works fine for 1-2 days, than breaks.
The connection is strong an seems stable but data-throughput and ping times are ugly (0,4 Mb down, ping around 2-3 seconds).
Here's a screenshot that perfectly shows the impact: same phone, same setup, same wifi. just 1 day between the tests.
i.imgur[dot]com/JYI7b9I.jpg (sorry, can not upload pics)
Any ideas how to fix this? a DNS problem?
btw: IPv6 is disabled on the router.
I have the same problem and i found a solution for me. I'm using pebble smartwatch with G4 and i noticed that when i disconnect my watch or turn off bluetooth, wifi stays stable. If you have a bluetooth device like me you can try this method.

I've also had my G4 get into a state where Bluetooth is stopping WiFi from working. I posted a thread about this here. To summarise, I've twice gotten into the state where my WiFi disconnects whenever I put the phone to sleep. When it wakes up, it takes ages to reconnect. Sometimes it fails to authenticate and forgets the password for the WiFi network. Even when it is connected, the connection is very flaky. This only happens when I'm on a 2.4Ghz network and Bluetooth is enabled - if I disable Bluetooth or switch to my 5Ghz network then WiFi is ok.
I've had this happen to me twice now... the first time was straight after the update to MM. I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling apps, and eventually it came good. After a few weeks the phone got into that state again. I tried clearing cache, factory reset, and reinstalling MM using the LG Bridge "Update error recovery" option and nothing helped. Once again I went through my apps one by one and uninstalled and reinstalled them and once again the phone came good.
This is a huge pain in the butt... not sure how long the phone will hold out before it gets into this state again. I really hope there's a MM update that addresses this soon.

I've noticed my Bluetooth problem in two ways. One of them was connecting a Bluetooth speaker while the watch is connected. When i connected speaker too, wifi had no issues.
And the other situation that i made my wifi stable was going into safe mode. Even Bluetooth on i was able to connect and stay connected to wifi when i was in safe mode.
Which apps did you have to reinstall? Do you remember?

I just started going down my app list and uninstalling apps which looked like they might have something to do with bluetooth, then putting the phone to sleep and waking it up to see if the problem was still there. I got a bit slack and maybe uninstalled two or three at a time before testing. I should have been more systematic about it but I wasn't really expecting it to work. I'm pretty sure the last one I uninstalled before things started working was TuneIn Radio so if you have that installed you might want to try uninstalling it. I've since reinstalled it and WiFi is still working.
My LG Wing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings stopped working after few weeks running Android 12. I have reset my phone and after 3 weeks it's the same problem. I just updated for 5G support(V30d-Jan-10-2023) and still the same problem. Is there any solution?
Hello, where are you and what carrier do you have? I'm in the United States and have verizon. So far I've had no issue with Android 12 on my device. If you have Wi-Fi calling turned on you might try to disabling that. Just a guess but maybe that could help.

Backup what you need to keep, and factory reset it.If that doesn't work, use LGUP and downgrade the firmware.
So I noticed something strange. I went to another city for couple of days and my phone worked just like before. The Wi-Fi is working fine, the UI is not crashing, Settings is not crashing(Network and Battery was crashing previously) and no slowdowns whatsoever. But as soon as I am heading back to my home it starts slowing down again.
The GPS location with the most time logged on my phone(place where I use my phone the most) causes the phone to slowdown. Is Android 12 deliberately slowing it down? Did anybody face similar issues with Android 12 on LG or any other Android phone?
That is very weird. I have not noticed any slowdowns at my home versus anywhere else with Android 12. My Wi-Fi and Bluetooth also work perfectly. Before a factory reset you may try resetting the network settings.
Apple made their iPhones slower on purpose after year or so of use. Android might be trying to copy that feature in Android 12. It doesn't makes sense that my phone overheats, eats up battery and have super slow UI all of a sudden. Even after hard reset it's the same issue. I have noticed it working fine after I leave my home for sometime. Or maybe I am being paranoid.
Also I have been noticing a bug from Android on LG Wing for past 1 year. There is a small icon for location which appears on top of your phone when it is trying to locate you. But that icon appears randomly despite my GPS is turned off. Seems to me that Android is deliberately accessing your location no matter you turn GPS ON or OFF. But LG UI still shows GPS icon.
