Even though I maxed out vibration strength in settings I can never hear vibration especially with facebook messenger. I cant hear it with or without the case. Is there any solution?

Coming from Sammy I had the same problem
You can try changing the haptic response time to LONG (accessibility settings).
No luck. Looks like I will need to use sound notification then.

I recently bought the galaxy s from bell and replaced the default messaging app with chompsms. It works fine but I've run into a weird problem, the vibrate from chomp is a lot weaker than any other notification on my system. Is this a problem anyone else is getting? And is there any way to fix it. I've tried looking around and haven't come up with any answers so any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Well I figured it out by myself. I had to enable haptic feedback and then increase the vibration intensity and disable the haptic feedback (I don't use it).

I can't seem to get my vibration and haptic feedback to work. Its intermittent and goes in and out. Tried different ROMs and still the same. Hardware issue? On my sixth Inc... dont want another.

I seem to notice it goes out when typing on the keyboard after about sixteen keys more or less. Then comes back randomly. Vibration app i just downloaded works but only if before it goes out.

Hey, I was wondering if there is any way to some how decrease the vibration of this phone when you get a text message. Like with the iPhone you can make it so that there is a silent vibrate when you get a text or you can make it the normal vibrate. The vibrate of this phone is ridiculous, and sometimes i like that and other times i dont so i was wondering it there is some sort of app where i can toggle the vibration intensity.
Settings -> sound -> vibration intensity ?
(Go to home screen and press the menu button to get to settings menu)

That's only for the haptic feedback. It won't work to decrease the messaging vibration..

I really don't see what's the problem. I keep mine on always vibrate. But if its really a big issue why not just turn the damn thing off?? Smh lol

Has anyone else noticed that the volume on the phone seems low after the update? I use either bluetooth headphones or a UE Boom speaker at work and it seems significantly lower after the update. Just wondering if anyone else thought this also.

Best bet for you would be to do factory reset. Back up your device on kies get that from the Samsung Web site. .and then do a factory reset.
That usually solves many issues.

Yes I am having that issue. Volume is two low. Did you get any luck?

My volume is fine, but 2/3 of the time it sounds like my speaker is blown when I'm on a call. Sometimes it sounds fine, but most times it is reall tinny. Wondering if the speaker got damaged somehow.

Has anyone noticed that the ring tone and notification sounds are very low? Is there a setting that I'm missing or is this a problem?
Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Guess you might want to PM @sshafranko

I think you need root for these solutions.
So the sound is low by default?

I do not have this issue. I feel the speaker sound and notification sound is rather loud. Actually I don't like the fact that the lowest sound setting on the Note is not as slow as the iPhone. Is still rather loud in my opinion.
Speakerphone on phone isn't as loud as note 5
