Weak vibrate from chompsms - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

I recently bought the galaxy s from bell and replaced the default messaging app with chompsms. It works fine but I've run into a weird problem, the vibrate from chomp is a lot weaker than any other notification on my system. Is this a problem anyone else is getting? And is there any way to fix it. I've tried looking around and haven't come up with any answers so any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Well I figured it out by myself. I had to enable haptic feedback and then increase the vibration intensity and disable the haptic feedback (I don't use it).

No keyboard vibrate feedback.

Have a new replacement EVO. The hardware version is 0004 with hboot 2.02 .
The keyboard will not give vibration feedback. I have flashed it numerous times without success. Is this a hardware part that is separate to vibration for notifications? Could this be a software issue brought by rooting?

Might be a dumb question, but have you enabled vibration feedback in the keyboard settings?
Does the phone vibrate at all? (like when moving an icon on the screen)
I knew I should have included that in my post. Yes and yes.
I also just downloaded a vibrating app also to test. They work fine. I wonder if there is a hardware difference that is effected by the software.

I seem to notice it goes out when typing on the keyboard after about sixteen keys more or less. Then comes back randomly. Vibration app i just downloaded works but only if before it goes out.

If you go into settings, sound then vibration intensity you can change it there. If not search the market for one

Vibration for notifications

I searched and could not find anything regarding changing the vibration pattern for an all stock note 2. Mine will only vibrate in a single long pattern, no matter what I set it to in the settings. I like to use the stock messaging because it's compatibility with the lock screen but I'd really like it to vibrate in a couple short pulses instead of that single long one. If I'm missing something I apologize but I have no idea what to change aside from the options in the settings menu. Any help or other information would be much appreciated, I'm sure it's something silly I'm missing anyway!
Go to settings- sounds-device vibration u can chabge it to a few different patterns

Same problem for me, and it's super frustrating. Is this specific to the AT&T version I wonder??

I am not sure! That is how the note 1 default notification vibrate was, the single long pulse. The sms mms one was a quick twin pulse, I'd prefer that! I like how the sms app works with the tw lock screen and launcher etc so I don't want to use another one if I can avoid it. I wish it would allow me to use a different vibration setting because my phone is silent a lot! I asked samsung and they gave me the ringtone answer. The service from the online chat is weak.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I downloaded the app and tried to set it up but it wanted to stop air view in the process. A related application was there

Coming from Sammy I had the same problem
You can try changing the haptic response time to LONG (accessibility settings).
No luck. Looks like I will need to use sound notification then.
