Hi guys,
I want to replace my battery. I have seen a few quides. Can someone tell me please what is the sticker that is attached on the battery itself that has the "X8 Mobile Computing System" on it? I am asking cause the majority of EX34 battery replacements don't come with that on. So, will it be easy to take it off from the original and put it back on the new one? Thanks!
It's the NFC antenna, be careful not to unplug it if you don't have to, and if you do make sure it's connected well afterwards. The adhesive is fairly strong so you should be good for tranferring it to the new battery, but be gentle removing it as not to tear the antenna
So, I was to look inside my phone and when I tried to take out the battery it broke not exactly the battery but this piece: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-8s/accessories/battery-t2972139
And my question is, can I repair this piece somehow ??
if you broke ribbon connector, the only solution is new battery, battery is attached via adhesive tape and if you want to take it out you must do it from opposite site (site without ribbon)
Solved battery
I have received a new battery and replaced it and it works fine so its solved
My wife's Moto X (2013) needed a new battery. Called around and none of the local phone shops work on Motorola phones (weird). We would have had to mail it to a shop in Denver, the closest branch of uBreakiFix chain, who would do it. That would mea 3+ days without her phone, which would have been annoying but not terrible.
It turned out the local Batteries Plus could replace it! It took a day for them to acquire the battery, then dropped off the phone for 4 hours and it was done. It was $65, which is what uBreakiFix would charge.
Anyway, if you have an aging phone that's another place to check for replacing it.

Frankly saying, there is no much deal to replace any battery (not HTC 10, lol). You can do it even yourself.
Do Ebay for "new-other" EX34 battery, T3-T4 screwdriver, heat gun, plastic razor, and you are armed. Or call any local egg-head guy with right hands to not ruin the precious
I paid $35 after being quoted $50 over the phone, although I did bring the battery which I purchased on Amazon. The guy also put on the old-new-stock Moto wood back cover I bought on Aliexpress which involves moving over the lens and flash. Really happy with the results and certainly worth the money in labor vs me screaming at it for 2 hours and breaking something. I used Techbar which might be only in Miami but it only took them a couple hours to get it back to me.
I replaced the battery , using the battery from the htc one mini 2(2100mA) , the new was not good on my phone. box found battery 2500mA. now I want to put on 2900 mA, there is enough space. replacement cost me 10-15$

Box? You won't able to place there anything bigger that 2500. That's Moto G3 battery or something.
I tried 3000, no success. It's bulky

Does anyone know of any batteries that would fit in the Moto X (2013) that are larger-capacity than the stock 2200mah battery?
I looked at the battery for the Moto G (3rd Gen) and the dimensions I see state that it's a smaller battery, despite having a larger capacity. That seems unusual. And I don't know if the battery connectors in these phones are all the same? Is it a universal connector in phones?

No, it's different, though can fit some of them.
You have to unsolder battery can pins from narrow thin pcb of protection, and solder this board to new battery can. Of course, you should be as cautious as possible, not to short circuit anything! I doubt G3's will fit, but better try.

Did you try it? I am trying to find bigger battery too..
Guys,
Question for anyone who has replaced the battery. Does the battery feel solid or does it bend fairly easily? I think I may have a dead battery but in the process of removing it, the battery seems kinda squishy, like easily bendable when removing from the adhesive. Any one can give me an idea of what the battery is supposed to be like?
Thanks
Daniel

It should be hard as my di... no, wait, wrong forum. But yea, it should be solid and very slim. If it's squishy means you either broke it or it is starting to deteriorate or maybe already dead. New one costs 10 dolla. Go buy it
LOL! Thanks, getting a replacement now.
Hmm... Maybe something else is borked as well. I can boot into recovery if I disconnect the battery then press volume down while plugging in the USB cable. But if I were to run any fastboot commands to erase anything on the phone it hangs.
So I have a spare M8 that has a broken rear camera. My main M8 could use a new battery, and I'm pretty sure the spare one can too.
I've decided to take the plunge and crack open the spare M8 that just sits in a box and try my hand at replacing the battery and the camera module. If all goes well I think I'll replace the battery in my main M8 as well.
I was hoping someone might recommend a good seller/brand for replacement batteries. I'm concerned about OEM batteries because:
a) How am I to know it is genuine OEM?
b) If it is OEM, it has probably been sitting around for 3+ years
I also heard you can replace the M8 battery with the M9 and thought if it is safe to do so that it might be better to get an M9 battery as they are probably newer?
Has anyone done a replacement recently and recommend a particular one to go with that will get me back to original battery life?
thanks.
