Sdcard mode - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Am stuck in sdcard mode!?
Help!!!!!!!

Have the same problem - anyone can help??

Now the device is totally dead - there was no chance to get out of the "SDCARD Mode" and now the battery is empty.
The Device is not charging anymore, no battery animation and the power supply isn't warm as usual...
@Largewoodenspoon: Whats with your device? Have you flashed a custom ROM?

I let the battery run down as I couldn't turn it of in sdcard mode. Then charged it back up and it seems ok now. Am rooted with custom firmware. Don't even know what Sdcard mode is! Had never seen it before!
Try a different charge cable?
Sent from my SM-N910F using XDA Premium HD app

Yes, same situation here - couldn't turn it off while stuck in the SDCARD MODE. So i let the battery run down over night. This morning i wanted to charge it with the original power supply and cable - nothing. Tried an other device (a smartphone) and there was everything fine with the charging. Right now i tried an other cable + power supply, same bad result, no reaction from the device. Can press all buttons and button combinations a minute and more - nothing!
Do you use the ThunderRom?
I did several app updates from the play store while watching a trailer with IMDB app. Then the device suddenly shutdown (as normal as usually, but not wanted) and rebooted. On the lock screen it freezed with three big black lines on top middle and buttom of the screen. I resetted it with long press on power button, on the next startup the samsung warning came up with the custom rom and the knox varranty void 1. I selected "boot normal" but the device stuck at the samsung galaxy s logo. Then i tried several times to get into the recovery mode - no luck, but the buttom combination of the download mode worked. Was to lazy zu connect the device to a pc at this moment, so I resseted it again and now the device booted into the crazy "SDCARD Mode". And this was the end...

Any help?

[Q] Phone does not boot, red light flashes, is it hard bricked?

Hi,
I woke up to find my note2 stuck on the samsung logo, so i went to the recovery menu and cleared the cache. When I went to restart the phone, it wont start up.
1) Nothing appears on the phone
2) When i press the power button, the red light on top flashes but thats it
3) it doesnt go to recovery mode with the power, vol+
4) it doesnt go to download mode with the power, vol-
5) Battery should be fully charged, when plug into the phone and the wall, nothing happens even when i left it there for half a day.
6) Switched out with friends battery and nothing happens as well.
7) Plug into PC Mac, multiple computers, nothing happens on the phone or computer. Nothing is detected on that usb port.
Anyone know what I can do to try and fix this before I send it to a repair shop?
Thanks
I think u r missing HOME button to press while going recovery or download

In switched off condition, if it takes charge then it must be go to DOWNLOAD MODE (home+power+vol.down). Then restock through odin or use 'mskip toolkit'

[Q] hardbrick?

hey,
i was flashing a new Rom yesterday. everything was going smooth and when i was wiping the cache , the phone gets frozen and i had to unplug the battery .
now it doesnt boot anymore. ( not even in recovery or download) when i try to boot my phone everything what happens is that the approximate sensor flashes 1 time but the screen stays black.
my question now :
is this a sign for a hardbrick ?
will a USB jig helps me?
or does anyone have a tipp how to boot my phone into download or recovery ?
If you could explain more, which rom you installed in which step you were??? plug the phone to pc for any response??

already used my usb jig a day ago. no reaction . screen stays black.
i think nothing works . i will send it to samsung tomorrow.
Ive seen this happen a few times and every time it was the wrong version of the rom being installed. For example, trying to install a international rom on a US phone. The phone had to be sent in for repair or exchange each time.

brick after antutu running in overclock

hi, today running antutu benchmack after a cpu and gpu overclock using epsilon project with viper kernel the phone suddenly turned off and now don't turn on. If i connect it to pc the screen turn on and appear the battery animation. After this the screen shutdown and the red led stuck flashing. the phone also enter in download mode, but i can't flash the firmware with kdz.
If i connect the phone to the wall charger the red led start flashing.
Have i burned something? The phone is dead or is there any solution?
thanks in advance.

keep pressing power for extended time so it will shutdown proper, leave it as it for 10 mins or so.
plug in wall charger and if you get battery animation let it charge to 100
after that try kdz, if it still gives you error and you are sure you dont have drivers issue, than yes somethings wrong.

power off phone. pres vol down+power...a menu to reset will appear. pres power and that's it. a hard reset will be made. you will lose all files.

i can't do anything. I'm only able to enter in download mode. :crying:
Is there some method to recover data from internal memory in download mode? adb devices command don't see any devices connected
http://www.chip.de/downloads/Universal-ADB-Treiber_61437026.html
install adb driver!
The phone is resurrected. I just disconnected and reconnected the battery.
Thanks to all

I have faced a weird problem with antutu. During the test, my phone reboots, then got stuck in bootanimation. After turning it off, then restarting it, it is fine. So it is antutu problem.

HTC won't boot

I tried to root my HTC Desire 820. While rooting it with supersu i checked reboot system instead of wipe cache/delvik (which is probably why it wasn't detected as rooted). I noticed it, so I went back in, and while choosing .zip directory i went away for ~5mins and now my phone doesn't boot (LED doesn't blink either); battery is well over 80% and charging. What should I do?

Reboot a couple more times, or is that blank screen caused by the TWRP screen saver?

Well if I had to guess I'd say it's a screensaver because I didn't really press anything; I can't access it in anyway, unless there is a special type of button combination?

Try holding power and VOL+ together for some times. It should then bring up the HTC boot screen. Then the device should start boot normally again.

So I guess Volume down doesn't work that way? I tried pressing vol- and power but it didn't work, haven't thought about vol+. Thanks a lot for saving my ass.

You are welcomed?.
For most of the Android device that has a non-removable battery (not by screws), VOL+ and Power button is a universal trick to force reboot/shutdown your device.

Black screen FIRMWARE UPDATE

I cleaned my phone from water i dried it up after half an hour I kept my pixel 2 xl on charging, it was locked after 5 mins when i looked at my phone..
The screen was black (may be in recovery mode not sure) qon the top its written firmware updating press power button 8 time to reboot your deviceq. Do not unplug your usb blah blah and below was status bar showing 0%
I unplug the cable and device restarted i dint pressed any button
Any one experienced the same or any one knows what it is ?
If you try to power the thing off and back on and it says that it is probably damaged the board. Unless maybe you had flash a ROM of some sort before. But it sounds like you have stock firmware. Even if it did enter recovery or stock recovery you should be able to hard reset it to get it to boot into the ROM
Think that's download mode if you shut the phone off and hold Volume down and plug a data cable in it t will boot in to download mode. like other LG phones. I found it on this phones by mistake once.

Thanks that what it is.
Are there any tools we could use to flash firmware in this mode?
