[Q] P601 or P605 ? - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hey guys
Im going to buy this tablet but there is a dilemma between these 2 models.
My questions:
which one has a better battery life?
According to my experience p605 with krait 400 should be faster, lesser heat and better in battery life.
Actually my galaxy note 8.0 caused to hate Cortex cpu.
Guide me please.
Thanks in advance.

No one knows????

Depends if need 4g or 3g data. I would get the p605 just because it has a snapdragon processor in it.

So you're saying that the gpu it "nice"? I mean, like Tegra 3 maybe? or Tegra 2?
Daniel1112333, please read up and make a decision based on that. Opinions will vary greatly and this will turn into a flame thread.

[Q] Running single core or dual core?

Hi all,
I have a question here.
As the voltage for running a core and four core at 1.6ghz is the same, is it ok to lower it t 1ghz so that it save more juice and it will normally running at dual core. Is it OK to do so?
What's your opinion?

Why run single core or dual core on a great and efficient quad core beast? It won't really make a difference in battery life because then the cpu's would be under more strain than usual. Although it MIGHT save battery, but not THAT much. Underclocking and undervolting is still probably the best solution you can do if you want even more battery life. But do utilize all 4 cores of this device.

Omg?! Single core use more battery than quad core? I turn it to 1.6ghz single core and move the page up down so.that the CPU is always 100%. And I turned the quad core and do the same things. And realized that the power used is double for single core.

I believe certain cpu governors can disable spare cores in low activity. Like hot plug, abyssplug and pegasusq.

[Opinion Needed] please come in

So hi guys
I recently got quite bored with my note 2
And sick of the fact that aosp wont ever be perfect on this phone because of Samsung notvreleasing sources...
And so I tried to trade it
I got an offer where I can get a 16gb used nexus 4 and around 125usd for my note 2
Do you guys think its worth the trade?
May I please have your opinions?
Thx

Perfect as in no spen features and such? Does the nexus 4 have spen to begin with. Basically u can install aosp rom and it will be exactly or not better then the nexus 4. Needless to say about the 5.5inch and long battery life. Why waste money on a downgrade when u can have the possibility of an upcoming dual boot kernal coming in.

WTF ?
The gnex has a 1.4ghz processor.
Please watch a nexus 4 vs note 2 video. Or a benchmark.
Note 2 is far better then nexus 4.
Also I heard nexus 4 has a pretty bad camera.

Sure. Asking this question in a forum of Note II owners isn't going to help you any. Everyone (like myself) has paid a lot of money for the phone so of course we're going to defend it (no one likes to think they purchased a lemon)
You'd better off looking in the phone you want to trade for and reading their opinions. Everyone phone sounds perfect on paper but when you get it has issues. Remember that.

Is it safer to overclock our "underclocked s600"?

So as our chip is considered to be an underclocked s600 as opposed to a regular s4 pro, would be safer to overclock it?
By that I mean over clocking our chip to let's say to 1.7ghz is safer than clocking htc one, which if I remember correctly runs at 1.7 on stock, to 1.9ghz?
Or are the joints as "weak" as on regular s4 pro processor, hence it's called that?

You want to do this because obviously the device is way too slow to be used properly?
Double post.
dud3me said:
No actually I'm running at stock speeds and will most likely continue to do so regardless. Just wondering how our chip is better than a regular s4 pro. I mean if it were identical to s600 other than the lower clock speed, wouldn't it just be named that?

Its a lower bin chip, its not as high quality and they fill it wouldn't be able to run at S600 clocks , so they rebrand it as S4 Pro , so its cheaper to asus then a regular 1.7GHz chip ..

As far as I know, all Galaxy Note 2 devices are clocked at 1.6Ghz. Even the n7105 LTE version you're talking about. I do know that there have been a bunch of articles floating around lately on overclocking the Note 2 up to 1.8GHz
The only difference between the n7100 and n7105 is the 4g/lte. I have over clocked my cpu to 1.8 and also my gpu. If you aren't going to use 4g get the n7100 as there are more roms/mods for it. If you want to overclock your cpu and gpu then just install a custom kernel

As i thought, just an overclocked phone. Thank you for your answer and while we are still on subject I want to ask you what is best opinion for instaling air commands on note II,i searched site and seen few options, but i dont know which 1 i proved fastest and most stable?
I use DittoNote3 which is available for both models. It has a lot of note 3 features including aircommand. Can't recommend it enough

And can u just tell me 1 more thing. Does with DittoNote 3 camera work correcly?
The camera works perfectly on the n7105 with DittoNote3. I think I read something about trying to port the note3 camera for the n7100. The note2 camera functions all work perfectly.

Sorry I've not read much of the n7100 thread but i seem to remember something about the note 3 camera being ported to that version not the n7105 version. I thought that was why you were asking about the camera
