[Q] No USB Internet mode? Verizon - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, everyone! I would REALLY like to root my Verizon LG G3 4.4.2. I've installed the Verizon Drivers, and it installed all the drivers just fine, but I only have two USB modes. MTP and PTP. It's starting to become VERY frustrating because I've tried reverting and reactivating USB Debugging, multiple reboots, I even tried Stump and it said "Device is patched, sorry."
I would love to ditch the stock OS and jump onto some CM12 as soon as possible! Thanks!!
EDIT: I found out that you need to be at the factory stock version that came with the phone since the update patched rooting. I found a downgrade tutorial link so I'll go through that!! Hope it works! lol

Faily new issue. Offical Jelly Bean USB probs.

Ok So I did do TONS of searches and I cant find a single answer anywhere on Google. I updated the S3 to the new official Jelly bean. I lost my root. I rerooted. Installed CMW via odin and super user. Now I got myself some usb issues. My phone wont mount. It connects to the USB, I dont get any errors but it just wont open. It just says connected. I REALLY do not want to recover back to stock and lose all my stuff again.
I reinstalled kies and the drivers. Didnt work. Also replaced cmw with twrp but that didnt do much either.
I would try downloading USB Host Diagnostics and see if it can tell you what is going on with your USB issues.

[Q] Computer/USB Problems

Got a GS3 a little over a month ago in exchange for an Evo LTE that was having serious text message issues. As soon as I got it, I was experiencing absolutely horrible battery life, so I immediately rooted and installed Blazer rom on stock kernel. I did this through Odin, so I had to plug my phone into the computer, which recognized it as a USB storage device so I could access files and whatnot.
Fast forward to now and I"m still having seriously battery life concerns. Today, I ran the one-click unroot/return to 100% stock zip from this link. I tried to plug my phone into my pc to load the file, but though it will charge, the PC won't recognize the phone. I ended up downloading the file to the phone and resetting to stock (thinking I was taking it to Sprint tonight). I made sure the most up-to-date Samsung drivers were installed. I updated my chipset drivers. My USB 3.0 drivers. I even updated the BIOS. Tried three different USB cords and all 14 USB ports (2.0 and 3.0). No luck. Windows keeps saying "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunction and WIndows does not recognize it." I have XP, 7, and 8 all installed on this box and none would properly recognize my phone.
My question is whether this is a computer problem or a phone problem. Given my semi-advanced knowledge of computer hardware, I'm inclined to believe this is actually a problem with the phone, but don't want to go waste an hour or two at Sprint trying to get it fixed. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Picture of actual error included.
Wish I could help. I had a few issues connecting my S3 to my work computer, but downloading the Samsung drivers for the Sprint Galaxy S3 L710 from the Samsung web-site solved that problem. I'm using XP at work. On my home computer and my laptop, which are both using Windows 7 Ultimate, I haven't had an issue though.
Maybe try using the driver from the Samsung web-site or trying to install Samsung Kies and then connecting your phone.

I tried Kies. I installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the drivers twice, with a restart inbetween each step to be safe. No luck.
Stopped by the Sprint store today. They couldn't get it to work either so as it turns out it was actually the USB port on the phone.

[Q]MTP

I've recently arrived home from vacation and I've installed the latest LG mobile driver direct from the LG website (vers. 3.11). Trouble is, Windows doesn't say anything about drivers uninstalled properly or anything, drivers are properly installed but it can't go into MTP mode.
anyone have some suggestions?

Which rom are you using? I have the same problem with gee based roms. Stock and gproj roms are working fine.
I think this is stock 4.1.2? This is a converted F180K though so I'm pretty sure this is some knockoff.
Anyway since I'm not so sure, here's a screenshot I took.
Nevermind. Found workaround. Installed WiFi File Transfer to act as replacement for MTP, will also use superbeam to beam large files from pc to phone (phone to pc does not work though, wonder why).

[Q] need help with 850 g3 root

Hello! So I am in need of some help. So my problem is that I cant get my pc to recognize my g3, adb won't see it, I can't find it in my device manager either. Here's why I feel like I'm doing something wrong, I successfully rooted it and everything was gravy. Then I had a noob moment and accidentally deleted the settings (when I tried to access settings, it would force close) so I ended up having to use the lg flash to to get it back working. Now I try to use the exact same process to root and no matter what lg mobile driver I use I can't get my computer or adb to see my phone. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and Att lg g3 850 5.0.1

LG Bridge not detecting phone after MM update

Hi everyone,
Do you know of this problem?
I got the phone almost a month ago. After only 2-3 days of LP, I decided to update to MM via LG Bridge. At first, it restarted and the installation did not start and LG Bridge told me to remove the battery and retry the whole process. I did that and everything worked fine this time.
Thing is, LG Bridge does not detect my phone since then. I was hoping for an update to the app/phone in the meantime, but now I want a factory reset and I want a backup with Bridge, which is not possible. Also, LG AirDrive isn't working either, though I'm using the same google account. On the phone it says "Not connected", and LG Bridge shows ... (attached screenshot).
Second screenshot with phone software info.
Any ideas?
Got me curious now" not tried hooking up since updated to MM i will try later and report back
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
I got the same problem, saying device not supported.. I did a backup before updating to MM..
The best way seems to be using backup feature directly in the ROM

Same here; I configured everything but on the phone it says: "Not connected" and (still on the phone) in Settings/Accounts and Sync/LG Accounts it says "No synchronization"...
I can't get LGDrive to connect, I can't get the LG Account to sync on the phone...!!!
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
