Help Phone Stuck On BootScreen - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HTC M8 gets stuck on the boot screen so I tried going into fastboot to see if I can flash RUU so restore it to stock.
Restoring using RUU fails with error U ERROR [130]: MODEL ID ERROR ERROR [131]: . Any ideas what does this error means.
Before I return the phone to HTC repair I want to change the status from relocked to locked and remove software status modified.
I can only get into fast boot and PC doesn't see the phone not sure if its a driver issue on windows 8

Model ID Error = Wrong RUU
Figure out what your model is

Its ATT M8 and RUU I used is from the ATT website . This is the RUU i used RUU_M8_UL_K44_SENSE60_ATT_SECURITY_Cingular_US_1.58.502.1_Radio_1.16.21331931.LA11G_20.31A.4145.02L . Phone is unlocked from HTC , is there RUU for unlocked phone ??

Error 170 with RUU

Hi guys, I got my One X stuck in a boot loop so figured best method to solve this would be to download and reflash with the RUU however I'm unable to do this as every time I try I get a USB connection error 170. I've got the device in fastboot mode and have tried on several PC's (running win 7 and xp) with the same error produced each time. I tried manually flashing the system.img using fastboot but this also throws an error (FAILED (remote: (00000006))) so I've no idea how to get the device back into a working state. Can anyone help?
Did you do the bootloader unlock before this ?
If yes, you need to relock the bootloader before flashing the RUU
- fastboot oem lock
- flash RUU
Make sure you have the right RUU for your phone.

I'm also getting this error. But I'm using a Windows 7 in VirtualBox in Ubuntu Raring.
I'm wondering if VirtualBox has anything to do with the error. Anyway, I thought that it needs to be in Fastboot mode. Not in hboot mode. And RUU simply says to turn on the phone- not fastboot or hboot.

[Q] Trying to get back to stock one M8 at&t

After s-off / root / unlocking boot loader and flashing gpe I would like to go back to stock. I keep having reception and camera issues.
I have the RUU which gives me an error 159 image error, my current is just blank. I have read that it could be my cid but i am not sure what the AT&T factory cid should be.
There is a list of files to try but they all depend on the cid and factory number and I don't have any factory number listed when I run the fastboot commands on the page.
How can I overcome error 159 and get the RUU to work as it seems the easiest way.
Thanks

HELP! HTC 10 Three UK (H3G__001) Restore to stock

Hi,
I've been handed a HTC 10 locked to the Three network in the UK which has been tampered with and I'm looking to restore the firmware.
I'm not sure what the previous owner has done but the device boot loops when attempting to boot into Android or Recovery with a red warning message quickly appearing.
The device boots into download mode fine, it states it's relocked and S-ON and fastboot seems to function fine but I'm unable to flash anything to the device due to it being locked and S-ON, unable to get into Anroid I cannot enable OEM Unlock to unlock the device again.
I've been hunting the web for HTC 10 H3G__001 RUU but am not able to to find anything anywhere, the unlocked and european versions always fail due to the CID mismatch.
If anyone can provide the RUU for my particular device or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful, HTC support aren't really proving to be any help in providing such.
Just an RUU zip to be placed on the SD so I can restore from the download menu is all I ask.
Thank You!
