Go back to htcdev.com and finish the process. After you log back in, get back to the page where you picked the HBOOT update RUU for your phone and look for the green button way down at the bottom that says "Proceed to Step 1".
In the process you'll use adb commands to retrieve your phone's oem identifier token. You will then upload that to the HTC dev bootloader unlock page. After receiving it, they will respond with an email containing an image file ("Unlock_code.bin") which you will then flash to the phone to unlock your bootloader. When done successfully, the Bootloader screen will show ***_UNLOCKED_***.

Hello .
I have HOX With CID J_15 And Hboot 1.39
For A Long Time I Unlocked My HOX Successfully . But Now It's Stuck On Bootloader And Say "Locked" i cant access to recovery
or do factory rest
help me
Its locked ! Try to go trough the htcdev site again and get a new unlock code !
Could work !
Try It But Not Working ... Plz Help
Its Now Show A New Option "Security Reset" In Hboot Menu ....
Hmm never seen that before in my HTC one X life
But what is the problem via the site ?
can you make pictures? of the hboot ?
Which ROM did you used before it did happen?
My guess the tripndroid that has been pulled due to possible bricking of the phone !
My brother broke the lcd on his phone so bought a bricked one x and swapped the lcd's so now i have the job or sorting out the bricked one x.
I have the device currently charging using the batch script and its at 3791mV at the minute. Once I boot it into boot loader I cant unlock it with the unlockcode.bin file as it says too many links and the phone reboots as soon as I hit yes to unlock. It currently says locked so I assume that means it hasn't been unlocked before.
I cant get into recovery either it just shows the htc logo along with the red writing at the bottom. So I cant get into recovery, cant unlock and have to charge very slowly using a batch file.
The CID is o2_001
Hboot is 0.94.0000
Radio is 1.1204.103.14
fastboot getvar version-main = !.28.206.9
I downloaded the ruu RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_O2_UK_1.26.206.2 as its the most recent I could find but its too out of date.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
Hi all,
I am trying to root my stock HTC desire HD phone using the HTC easy unlock bootloader tool (also tried directly from HTCdev and easy ace root tool).
I get stucked right in the beginning: when trying to get my unlock token i get an error:
[ERR] Command error
I am on build 3.12.405.2
I am on HBOOT 2.00.0027
While searching for a solution I found out that there might be a problem with the HBOOT version (although version above 2.00. should be working, isnt't?), so I tried to update HBOOT. Tried updating with RUU, which gave an error that i was on version 3.12.405.2, while i should have been on version 3.12.405.1, so than I extracted PD98IMG.zip from the .exe and have put it on the root of my SD card, booted in Bootloader, but no update occured.
Now I am stucked and have no idea what to do next,
- should i still update my HBOOT and if so, how??
- is HBOOT not the problem and is there another solution?
Please help, thanks a lot,
xx LittleGirl

The best is to create a goldcard and flash a RUU with a main version supported by HTCDEV. Then update the hboot and finally unlock the bootloader.

Hi All,
finally figured it out:
Fist update your HBOOT 2.00.0027 to 2.00.0029 following the small part in this link: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f66...-os-s-off-change-imei-cid-hxc-dongle-1548982/
after that: you can continue with unlocking trough HCTdev, than flash clockworkmod recovery, than activate superuser and than go on however you want! (i installed the rom manager app)
xx

thanks a lot Glevitan, i was hoping a would get an answer from you . Eventually i didn't need to create a goldcard, just updating HBOOT using the link in my post above was enough to be able to continue!

That is just fine. But not for everyone..you gain tempo root to downgrade the main version and then flash GB rom. That is a nice move.
