I rooted my Galaxy Note 4 successfully about one month ago and everything was working perfectly with Titanium Backup Pro. Today I got the ”Asking for root rights...” stocked on the screen. When I run the Root Checker Pro app it shows a bunch of messages explaining the denied of root access. Can I unroot the device and try rooting again? Please help!:crying:
You sure you on the right forum? We att note 4 users are rootless and at the moment with a locked bootloader.

Want to trade phones? [AT&T White N4, MINT]. I'll take that off your hands.
Is this a developer edition phone? , because there are a lot of angry pitch fork android enthusiasts that want to talk to you...
What root method did you use?

Hey guys,
I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S II X, originally with Telus, but now with Koodo. I wanted to know what your thoughts are on rooting the phone. I am new to this kind of thing and don't know the benefits or drawbacks. The main reason I want to root is so I can underclock my phone when battery is running low. I am currently only getting 15 hrs a day with moderate usage. If you think rooting is a good idea, do you have a link that has a step by step to do it.
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
You got absolutely nothing to lose rooting it ;-)

Any links to root my phone?
Hi there!
I would like to know if there's already a method to root this new nexus 7 without unlocking the bootloader, like motochopper method for the 1st gen. model.
Thanks!

Just root and then re lock the bootloader that's what I did

IMO you are better off leaving it unlocked.
Yes, i know it's the right way. I'm not concerned about warranty, i live in Brazil and there's no warranty for me once this tablet isn't officially available here, got mine last week in the usa, the thing is that i forgot to root before setting it up, and now I'm just not in the mood to wipe it for unlocking the bootloader and put it all back in afterwards.

When AT released 4.3 for the S3 I upgraded, rooted, and mistakenly tried to go back to 4.1.2. The result was not good: hard bricked the phone.
Now that I am an unlocked Note 2 owner I am big time hesitant to root after 4.3 upgrade. The Note 2 is speedy fast compared to the S3 and 4.3 runs seamlessly on the Note 2. Yet I feel like I'm missing out on something.
Opinions are greatly appreciated!

Anyone? My computer is currently not working. Doesn't even have to be an app. Just able to do it with my phone.

Yes I've tried towel root. That's what I used on my note 3

So it didn't work on the note 2?? I know it is supposed to work pretty much on all Android phones running game kernels that were built before certain date...

Try framaroot, that's how I rooted mines

Neither of those work on the note II running 4.4.2. Neither does cf auto root. Haven't had a chance to try kingo root yet. Any other suggestions?
Cf-autoroot worked for me on 4.4.2 but it was with pc

I tried framaroot, towel root, kingo and cf auto root all with no success. In the end I had to flash philz with Odin and install a rom with root built in.
Got mine delivered today (8/19). After having all 4 Notes this is my first non Note phone in 4 years. Always bought the Note series for screen size and powerful hardware, and not the S-pen which I never used except to try it out and screw around, so yea, it's not important to me.
If you want to use Samsung pay, don't root. I read an article from chainfire if you root you can't use Samsung pay. Even if you unroot you still can't use it because knox is triggered to 1
Well for me this phone looks like a note . If we are talking about the size. Btw ....amazing and powerful device. I got mine yesterday. Cant wait for root. I dont use or plan to use samsung pay. I would like to debloat this baby!!

There's a site that has root working but for other devices though I sure wish someone could use that info there and share it here.
