Hi there
So here's my problem. My problem with my phone is with the app Snapchat. So when I get a video from a friend on snapchat, I can only hear the audio & the video is just stuck in one point. So I want to ask is this have something to do with my memory, my phone, snapchat or the problem is that I can't see them because of my friend's better phones.

Hi guys,
i've installed OTA 1.29.401.11 on my HTC One X but now, during reproduction of a youtube video, i hear many "clicks"...it seem like the very old cd burners when they aren't capable to extract the tracks.
Someone has the same problem?
Thanks
Exactly the same happen to me!
Sounds good to me that the problem isn't only mine.
I don't know if the issue depends on the last OTA.
I had this once and rebooting the phone cured it. It affected all audio for me including videos in the gallery
Don't have that problem. But a reboot of the phone might help or check if the youtube application needs an update...
do you have the same problem when using a headset?
I thought it's somehow related to the YT app itself. It's the only one I'm getting these audio clicks and stutters in. The problem gets especially crazy I have Audio FX Widget turned on (absolutely no problem in any other apps that play audio).
Hi guys,
i got a weird problem with my HOX.
If I start the camera app everything works fine. But when I want to take a video the app force closes without any hint what the problem is.
If i disable the "sound option" in the settings or record a slowmotion video (which is also without sound) it works perfectly.
I don´t know, if it worked before flashing and rooting (I didn´t tried out before).
Actually I am running Renovate 10.0.1. But I had the problem with Insertcoin too.
Does anybody have a clue whats wrong with my phone?
Hi there
When recording videos with Snapchat, the sound is way too quiet. When using other apps like voice recorder or the camera app, it works fine. I also recently replaced the battery cover
I suspect the issue is something regarding which microphone Snapchat uses. Maybe the the mic doesn't function properly without the noice cancellation mic, which Snapchat may not utilise etc.
Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?
heres some more info on the problem: snapchat only records audio with the top mic on this phone, which is probably supposed to be used for noise cancellation. this issue is not apparent in all non-sense roms, like cm10.2 and aosp based romps; the mouthpiece mic is used to record audio so the audio works fine. but then in custom roms the camera profile is different, so it is not possible to record 10 second videos in snapchat. it stop recording at about 6 seconds. heres more info on the 2nd issue: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-2343.
Thanks

Heey .. I've the same problem with my HTC ONE X ... this is what I dislike about Android in general, each phone has its own running kinda system, yet all android apps are the same in every device despite the differences.

Unless you own a Nexus, GPe, or soon a "Silver" certified device. Something maybe to consider when purchasing my next phone
Since a few days I have no sound on my phone. Also the video playback is playing at a faster speed (I would like to say double speed). This afternoon I had problems trying to call someone, it kept saying Dialling but would not connect. The last seems to have gone away, but still no sound in video's/phone calls/alarms, etc..
Text messages, whatsapp messages, email etc. all seem to work fine. Even when I have no wifi, so I do have a good connection to my provider.
I have rebooted, reinstalled my rom (Cyanogenmod 10.2), gone back to an old nandroid backup, heck I was even that desperate I tried to go back to the original HTC stock rom, but I it wouldn't seem to install the stock rom, but just reboot.
But anyway, I'm back to cyanogenmod 10.2 but no affect. I'm still having the same issues.
I've searched the forum and only came across this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48419066#post48419066 but it didn't help me that much.
Also google hasn't helped me. 1 guy said it was his radio, but wouldn't seem that likely to me.
Has anyone else got this problem and if they do what have they done to fix it?
update 14-12:
It seems that not all video players play the video's at double speed. VLC keeps the video at the correct speed, but still can't seem to get any sound. Even streaming media (plex, youtube, etc. are playing at double speed!?) Incoming calls also can't be heard. The phone rings, but I can't hear anybody.
Same issue here.

I sent my phone back to HTC, they repaired it free of charge...
I just flashed a backup and now it works fine
moto x..no media audio after call
I have a motox... since the 4.4 update after a phone call there will be no audio in media players and they play (video) at what seems to be double speed.
If I disconnect Bluetooth, then reconnect it's fine till the next phone call...
This is not player specific, meaning any media player ( YouTube, Netflix, NBC news,NPR audio)
Btw..not rooted

Correct, it is, but its the same issue.. maybe not hardware dependent?
i had similar issue... it was a bad kernel flash and i fixed it flashing again the same kernel... if you still have the issue try another kernel/kernel version...
Hey Guys,
This seems to be a common issue across the board for all HTC One X users. Some apps such as Snapchat and Facebook, record video with really low volume audio on the HTC One X. Some have suggested it may be because of the multiple microphone's in the HTC One X (for noise cancelling or something?), and that these apps might be defaulting to the wrong microphone stream.
I've found many threads and the like around the internet, but no one has a fix. Apparently Instagram and other apps suffer from the same problem. It's quite frustrating as video is pretty useless without audio. The built-in apps of course don't suffer from this issue. I'm sure someone can find a fix, like disabling one of the microphone devices (my phone is root'ed).
I plan to get the Nexus 6 when it comes out, but in the mean time, I'd really like to get this thing fixed!
Cheers
