The device's Service menu, the one where on the international stock rom you enter 3845#*855# in the dialer to get to it.
Theres few things I wanna get to there, the fast dormancy thing and the thermal throttling thing.
You should be able to enter no matter you are on custom rom.
Which variant you have?
3845#*855# (for International model)
3845#*851# (for T-Mobile)
3845#*850# (fot AT&T)
5689#*990# (SPRINT G3)
Dial: ##228378 + send (VERIZON G3)

Hi I't what I did first I I had to change the sim size (previous GS II, which modem was working)
I've checked again just before posting this question, all seems to be Ok from them
The message is " Non available data or non valid sim"
I've seen on forums that the at&t modem is locked for at&t network only
May only the phone setting is unlocked but not the modem ones?
Or should I flash and other Rom (Noterious or n7105?
Thanks again

I've rooted the phone and install the ULTIMATE ROM # N7105XXDMF2 , by miscom, with the base bande I317UCAMC3 and it works great & the battery life is increase by 3 minimum !!!
I haven't checked the speed as here we've got a very low flow (2Mo...)
When installing, do not load the AT&T CSC

So My friend had network issues in his note 2 so i took it to help him. Now in the about phone in settings, it says n7100, however in download mode, it shows SGH T889 which is the t-mobile version... in the widgets it shows a few t-mobile widgets as well...he bought it second hand, so it is possible that the person flashed the t-mobile rom in the international version, or is it the t-mobile version. Thanks!

Afternoon. Hmm. I am on a different kernel and rom so I am doing this based of vague memory. First, go into your dialer, dial *#27663368378#. Then look for something along the lines of RF setttings or band preference. See if you can choose the 850/900MHz frequency. Forgive me if I'm not completely on the mark but it should be in the menu when you dial *#27663368378# :good:

You need to be 100% stock, non-rooted for it work properly.

I have not tried this with JB 4.3. I have tried this on my JB 4.2.2 when I unlocked it. I had to be 100% stock, non-rooted for it to work. I can not say if *#4636# will work since I am not stock right now. The SGH-M919 allows the following bands:
LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/17; HSPA+/UMTS: 850/AWS/1900/2100MHz; GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz

So yes, it does support those frequencies. As I said, go back to 100% stock through Odin (preferably to 4.2.2 if you currently have that, I do not know if it works on 4.3) and then dial the *#4636# code and set the frequency to the one you want. :fingers-crossed:

If you have 4.3 and you just bought the phone, I am going to assume you are on a 4.3 bootloader. I would recommend you Odin back to 100% stock 4.3 and run the code and choose your band. It is worth a shot. Try it!!
Hey my g3 doesnt have lte as a option in the preferred network mode setting. ( Settings>networks>tethering & networks>mobile networks>network mode). Mine only has 2 options GSM/WCDMA auto and WCDMA. I have seen alot of people have this problem because the phones are coming from asia or other parts of the world. How do i get it to have lte as an option in the settings?
Please help thanks

Its the d855
It should have all 4 options because that is international version.
You can always flash latest stock firmware (V10N Kitkat, or V10A Lollipop). That should solve it.
Or some custom rom.

If I no longer have AT&T as my carrier do I still need to download AT&T specific ROMS
I'm now on Cricket but I'm looking to flash a different ROM. Can I now flash any non specific carrier ROM or do I still need to use/flash the AT&T ones only?

I don't know. But my Note 2 was AT&T now on Cricket. But I stick with AT&T roms since Cricket is really Aio. I just change the APN.
I'm fairly sure I gotta stick with AT&T roms but I'd like to be sure.
EDIT: What did you change the APN settings to?

Here you go.
My settings are the same except for APN type. All I can choose when I click on it is "Internet + MMS", "Internet", or "MMS". How can I change that?
Also what ROM are you using? I'm stuck between Cyanogenmod 11, Ditto Note 3 and EZKat 2.0.

I am using DN3 and to change APN I deleted the AT&T APN and added the Cricket APN. That's the only way I got exact like that.
