So My friend had network issues in his note 2 so i took it to help him. Now in the about phone in settings, it says n7100, however in download mode, it shows SGH T889 which is the t-mobile version... in the widgets it shows a few t-mobile widgets as well...he bought it second hand, so it is possible that the person flashed the t-mobile rom in the international version, or is it the t-mobile version. Thanks!

Currently I can boot to recovery and the download mode...is that sufficient to bring it back to life?
Also it says gt-n7100 behind the battery

The US variants wont have the multitasking bar. Can we root then flash the cooked international ROMs which provide this instead?
I've been meaning to ask this as well.
just picked up my Note 2 for T-Mobile and would like to know as well. i'm assuming yes since internally the US variants and international are the same except for the modem. i'm itchin to flash a rom on this...
i read post one thread they try flash G7100 rom over G7105 and got stuck in boot loop. You can search in general thread and find out
i specifically want to know about using a TMOB variant on AT&T
Ditto on the OP question...waiting in front of TMO US tore now and hoping to get ARHD 3.0 on this bad boy ASAP!
I sure do hope it would work...

I am sure some dev will cook something up, since all the phones have the exact same hardware (for the first time!), Can't wait...

I'm itching for root...and a port of paranoid.
Root is fine In my exp, but flashing international ROM gives you the wrong baseband and you loose cell services.

just don't flash the radio (modem). probably needs some RIL fixin' and what not. then i think these roms will work across most variants.
I believe it has something to do with isis. The rep told me that all SIMs are isis now.
To maintain security, I am guessing it has to be the TMO baseband.
I could be wrong.

that's easy. just flash the correct modem from the carrier. this is going to be fun.
Yeah, this should work just fine. Does anyone have the modem files?
I have a request into Samsung for a complete dump for recovery, but no word yet.
I flashed Omega 4.1 which had a modem in it. :/

you might be able to extract the radio out of one of those OTA updates. not sure if there is one or not.

Hi I't what I did first I I had to change the sim size (previous GS II, which modem was working)
I've checked again just before posting this question, all seems to be Ok from them
The message is " Non available data or non valid sim"
I've seen on forums that the at&t modem is locked for at&t network only
May only the phone setting is unlocked but not the modem ones?
Or should I flash and other Rom (Noterious or n7105?
Thanks again

Just make sure you use Triangle away to reset the flash counter, after you do that immediately reboot the phone in download mode and follow the steps in the guide. This will recover your carrier stock ROM and OTA updates will be enabled again as long as you don't apply root.
Awesome thx

Wondering if anyone was daring enough to try flashing the International N9005 firmware on the Tmo Note3?
Looking at buying a Tmo Note 3 soon to run on ATT and would love to have it run the International N9005 Firmware (no carrier bloat)
If you have can you provide the details info? also will you get the updates like a normal N9005? any chance of an update containing a radio update that will brick the phone?
excuse the noobness of the questions, I don't normally tinker with good working phones. (currently running a genuine S4 google play edition) looking at a note 3 now....

Q&A ... but anyways...
i see no reason for it not to work ..
I flashed it, working fine. However, I cannot get wifi, or nfc to work in omega. He's releasing an update soon, so we'll see if that fixes the issue.

I would think Flashing any n9005 ROM (which usually is modem-less), would work since the hardware is the same.

I have flashed a few N9005 rom on my T-mobile note 3. Probam Rom..X-Note Rom and BobCat Rom. Also i just flashed knoxraid(AT&T Rom). I flashed all of the roms through TWRP. Make sure you use the T-mobile compulsion kernel or the Wildchild kernel.
There is a wifi fix I use on every i9005 build I do, I am at work, do not have it handy, but it fixes these issues....go to the i9005 forum, and go to the earlier posts, the wifi fix is there......
good luck
Hey guys! I've got this G928A from AT&T, it's stock and stuck on 5.1.1 . I would like to know if there would be any problem if I flashed through ODIN a G928G ROM ?
This would be the one I would like to flash:

Hahah to be honest I'm used to HTC devices which letters don't make differences just matters of its CDMA or GSM model, my last Samsung device was an s2 and s4.
Which ROM do you recommend for this G928A? Need it only to be stock and bloatware free (debranded). Thanks for your warning! Haha

::sigh::
You can't install any "ROMS" on G928A because the device is LOCKED and AT&T will (probably) never unlock it.
In regards to Odin: you *can* odin back to a previous software update *but* if the phone is on marshmallow 6.1+( and above) you *can not* odin back to previous update; you're stuck on marshmallow. Furthermore, you *can not* install a different device Odin files onto G928A through Odin, if so, you'll have a bricked phone; paperweight.
