i tried it some time when i play game and change date to back date (yesterday) and then after 1 min .. Battery show 0 and phone shutdown .. if i am using charger then the red light start blinking for some time then it become normal after some time but need restart to see how much it charge
it happen with me every time.. any solution

hey all i have this proplem with battary
my phone shutdown in 15% left in battery and when i cahrge it begin from 0, some times 10% other times 7%,
and the notification turns green in 90% but the phone keep charging to 100% .

MIUI - Indicator turns green at 90% - no problem, that is how it should work on MIUI.
Battery should be calibrated with the Nexus one calibrator app - search for a guide.

Hi all, for some time i have very odd problem and i dont know how to solve it.
When i use 3G, or browser on wifi for some time ,scroll app drawer very fast,take picture with flash and similar ,phones shutdowns and cant turnoff because its says it have 0% battery, but i just plug it for minut as he is turing on and he can work again, but battery drop goes from 90% to 30%, then i restart phone and its 70% or some other value.
First heappend after i soft bricked my phone.
Dont know is it software,hardware or battery.I have JB 4.2.2, stock (i had root before softbrick)
I instaled antutu battery tester and when when cpu goes 100%, volt just go droping down from 3.9~3.7 to about 2.7V ,screen goes mad, all bright and pink, start flickering,like electromagnetic interference. some time vibration goes to maximum it feals like its going to explode and it just shoutdown.Some time i cant even even get to boot screen witouth waiting 5min. And when its turn of its shows 0% battery and turns off,untill i plug it to charger.
very annoying because I can not use my phone normaly

If a factory reset doesn't fix it then its hardware.
You record a battery voltage of 2.7V???? Something looks wrong. In normal conditions the 0% state of charge correspond to 3.3V to 3.2V as noticed on my GNex
You have a hardware problem. Only way : back to repair center
i bot new battery and everything is ok now
i was just on wifi and whatsapp and battery level was at 40% then it suddenly shuts off and i tried to power it on and also tried to take the battery off then place it and start but doest but as i connected the charger it showed 0% and charging... how could it drop from 40% to 0% just like that, and it isn't even the first time it happened, last time it happened the phone was at 20% and my messages come with a vibrate so as it vibrated it hit 15% then another msg and vibrate and it reached 10% then 5% then 4% and at tht point i shut down phone and charged it for 30 mins and it went up to 55% .... can anyone explain ? i have battery guru installed by the way and also 360 security and i have noticed it happens whenever there is a playstore update because the last time it happend and i restarted it had alottof updates...and this time too it had 2 updates that are samsung based apps

download cpu z and check what it says about the battery health, maybe battery is demaged. but it could as well be a system bug maybe...
I have CPU Z i use it to check the temperature of battery.. its health is good :\ i dont knw its been happening just recently and i bought it just a week ago

i wouldn't recommend to try modifieng the phone cause the battery can be faulty if it's really new and you'd just loose your warranty. so just maybe give it back to service. my charger was also demaged from the beginning.
i remember something specific case in both times it shut off, well when i charged and then turned on google playstore and alotta other bunch of samsung apps updated and this time too after turning on it had update for hangouts and instagram, so is it notification and update related ?

well, updates use more battery but the battery should withstand it to some degree. like i said it could be maybe the battery or system bug. but i assume it's the battery
Hmmm....i doubted the same too.. btw is it cause of NFC in my battery ? but you gotta understand its a brand new phone

problem on their phone..FOR ALL NON-ROOTED or
ROOTED users
1). first of all download battery calibration

2). before celebrating charge your phone at hundred
percent full ..
3).then celebrate it ..
4).after battery calibration use your phone till your
phone's battery reached 90 % .
5).then enable developer options and godown...
6). then select window animation scale and
...transfer
.... and animated scale..... and set the value . 5x to all.
this makes your phone Two fast
7).then reboot it.
8). after reboot go back to Developer option and check
background process limit .
9).set it to at most 4 processes.
10). after this charge your phone again at hundred
percent.
11).after this unplug your phone...... turn on battery
saver ......turn on flight mode...... and reduce brightness
at 0 % for one hour ...
12). Don't do anything with your phone in this 1 hour.
13). after 1 hour use your phone normally and check
the battery usage now you will get almost 3 or 4 days
of talk time.
For non rooted user charge your phone at hundred
percent ...then rest it for 5 minutes.
.
After 5 minutes use your phone till your phone battery
reach 90%
.... Then follow the steps from. .5).th point. Its working
for all. ..

I have a problem with my batterie status on my htc one m8. Sometimes i have like 20% and then the phone shuts down. When i turn on again it says, that the batterie is empty. I had this problem with stock (Marshmallow) and now i have it with cyanogenmod(Marshmallow) again. But i had that issue on stock Lollipop as well.
Is that a known issue and is there a fix for it?

Try battery calibrate.
Power off device .
Charge for 10-15 min
Hold
(Vol+) (vol-) (power ). All at same time
Phone will restart serval time .
Do this 3-4 min.

i dont understand what you mean with " Do this 3-4 min. ".
when i press these buttons, the phone starts normally, just few things like date where reset.
the phone hasnt restarted serveral times.. so how should i do this 3-4 min?

Search google , how to clibrate htc m8 battery you will get whole process.
@znayver Dnt discharge your phone battery completely . keep it above 50%.
Swtich off phone .
Connect charger .
Let it charge it for 10-15 min ( the battery status will be arround 60%)
Then follow the steps.

When you press all the button at same time, phone will not boot to system .
It will go to htc logo and restart again . keep holding the keys continusly for 3-4 min . phone will restart serval time during this process.
